Very pleased with the ExactMats I purchased. The driver's side has retainer holes so that it will not move toward the accelerator.

I don't know how far out on LI you are, but if you're willing to get it from Mt Kisco I liked my experience with Nerijus Aidukevicius (can ask for "Neary") at Lexus of Mt Kisco. He wasn't pushy while we were there nor after we left (were 2+months in between our first visit and when we decided to contact them to buy), seemed knowledgable, and didn't feel slimy like some stereotypical car salesmen.
Got my 2010 RX350 on Dec 31st for $39500 + tax/title/etc. No nav, but has backup monitor, heated/vented seats, Premium Pkg, wood/leather trim wheel/shifter, cargo mat and net, and wheel locks. When I let the dealer I was dickering with in NJ know that I was going with Mt Kisco, he told me he probably could have got it down another $100 or $200 with his boss for me, but that was about it. Also, Nerijus told me that all Lexus' would be going up $400 on Jan 1st (I didn't follow through to see if that truly happened or not, but I'd be surprise if that couldn't be negotiated away still).
MSRP w/o remote start was $44137. I got remote start installed at the dealer for $495 (originally asked $675; it's only $300 if you it's installed at the factory). When we picked it up we found out that they threw in 19" aluminum wheels (MSRP $660) instead of the normal 18", supposedly because they didn't realize the car they were offering to me had them until we'd already done our dealing including having had received the VIN for our insurance etc.
If you get in touch/decide to buy from them and don't mind giving me a shout out, please tell them I referred you (Steve Dittmar). I think I get a free full car detailing or something for referrels. :P

Looking at a 2010 RX 350 FWD in starfire pearl with light leather interior. Premium package with park assist. MSRP 43, 475. We're getting an offer of $42,500 OTD in Central Florida (this was mid-December and dealer is willing to honor). No other dealership in our purchasing area has been able to match or beat. Does this sound like a good deal? I'm figuring it comes out to about $39,000 purchase price for the car. Was hoping to get it for $41,000 before Christmas/New Year's but no one was biting.

Where did you get this deal?
  • funguy123funguy123 Member Posts: 94
Why this forum is so quite lately? Is this because RX 350 has no big savings at the moment?
  • jtlajtla Member Posts: 388
I am following several makes/models forum. They are all pretty quite recently, compared to December. I guess this is because the most active car-buying (or anything else for that matter) season has passed.

Thanks to everyone who has posted good information on this forum. Purchased a 2010 AWD with Nav from Stevens Creek Lexus(No. Cal) in January--couldn't find my color combo in December so didn't even try to negotiate until they had the car on the lot. New cars have been coming in this past week and the purchase price was a little more than 10% below MSRP with no back and forth. I was extremely happy with the way I was treated and highly recommend this dealership. I am a female exec but I went in a few times in 'Mom mode'--kids sometimes in tow--and I was impressed by the treatment I rec'd every step of the way. A few things to note: the base model price has gone up about 600 dollars since 2009 so if you were looking at a car about 48.4K MSRP before the holidays(that's a typical price for nav/prem/comfor) the sticker will be 49 something now...

What was MSRP and your cost before taxes, fees, etc. What was the documentation fee?
  • fundudefundude Member Posts: 2
From reading this board it seems the best deals have been for a 10 to 12% discount off of MSRP or a $48,000 MSRP for $42,240 to $43,200. Does anyone have the name and dealer where they received a deal in this range?

I spoke with a finance manager yesterday and repeat customers with good credit can get a 36 mo lease on the AWD for money factor 0.0022 and 62% residual but they said no additional money factor discount for multiple security deposits - anyone hear differently?

    Thanks so much

In December they(Steven's Creek) were offering $1,000 below invoice on rx350s right off the bat.

HI. Did you finalize the deal on your rx at 39647? Was that price out the door incl tax, title etc? Which dealership was it? i live in South Carolina and cant find a deal that good down here. Thanks very much.
  • cutco760cutco760 Member Posts: 63
    Hey punjab1,

The same thing happen to me last month, here is what you need. Do you have proof that they will pay the balance off? It should be written on your agreement contract. If so you need to contact the finance department at the dealer and talk to them and not the salesperson. The lease payoff amount on your old car should be clearly stated and written as a subtraction on your new lease agreement. If that is the case contact the finance ASAP. They do have 30 days to payoff the balance and they always deal directly with the manufacturer. Its normal for the bill for the old car to arrive, all you need to do is contact the finance department and let them know that you leased a new car and they are picking up the payments. Do not send in payments until you spoke to them (otherwise you will lose that money). Keep us posted. By the way my bill was paid in full 28 days after my trade in and I did get the bill, the interesting thing is that the payoff amount on the day of the trade was $100 lower than the payment date so they kind got stuck with it. Please look at your agreement before you call and talk to the finance people and not the salesman. Keep us posted on your ordeal and good luck, I know oyur frustration.

    For Everyone,
Else before signing your agreement always look at your numbers and if possible calculate them before walking into the finance department to seal the deal. You should always know what you will be financing and you should always see the balance of the payoff on the agreement never ever take someone word as valid. In a court of law only written documents will spare you from financial chaos. Always know the amount to be financed, term, APR before going in to finish the deal. Once you know that aspect you can do your math and know oyur payments and compare your numbers to the finance agreement before closing the deal. It took me 40 minutes to sign the agreement and the guy was pissed, but he knew I could walk out and the car would not be sold if he said anything. Its a huge financial comittment and you should always know that the numbers are what you know they will be. Once oyu sign there is no going back to redo it. Also never rely on a dealer who says I will get or do this or that next week. If the car does not have the features you want tell he or she that you will return and pick it up when the features are in place. Its the old CYA, we all want that new ride,

Thanks, I ended up getting a 2007 40,000 miles with Navigation for $25,500 from a Lexus dealer. Chose not to CPO it as it has a year left on the manufactures warranty. Hope this was a good price.
  • maximafanmaximafan Member Posts: 592
That sounds like a great price to me from what I've seen on the used car lot of the local Lexus near me. I think my local Lexus dealer has had prices of anywhere north of 30,000 for the 2007 models. I've got almost eight months left on the lease on my '07,
and I'm torn over whether to turn it back in or just buy it when the lease is up. I'm afraid I'll regret it if I give it back.
My buyout is 18,500 or 18,700, not sure which. I have to check the papers.

Still trying to decide what to do.

By the way, there is a limited service campaign or recall on the 2007 RX350 regarding replacement of an oil hose line or something to that effect that was supposed to be subject to degrading prematurely. I received the notice in the mail right before Christmas and had it replaced when I got back from being out of town over the holidays. Make sure and ask your service advisor about this as soon as you get a chance.

Not sure about writing, they took care and I thought its Ok; never imagined there would be any problem. Had cars from this dealership, on sunrise hwy in RVC for three lexuses atleast. I am being told its one of new scams by dealerships and salesman did not call back with any definitive answer.

They took car and I was told its taken care of and I paid almost good price, thinking they should be rewarded for being nice and they were rewarded for being cheats.

They can return my car and will be happy to pay, god knows where the care is now.

Its eyeopener and new experience about Madoff like cheats.

Will pursue other means to get it right.

I don't know about your area, but Dealers in southern California do not want customers complaining to Lexus of North America. If I were you I would contact them and tell them what happened. In view of the fact that this is your 4th Lexus, I suspect that they would be interested in hearing what happened to you.

did write to lexus financial and will be writing to others soon, directly or indirectly
will write to BBB and others
one just does not expect this from lexus and its no better than highway robbery

    Hey Punjab,

Spoke with my neighbor he is a Lexus salesperson. Here is what you need to do. Go and speak with the finance person who handle your deal at Lexus. Let them know that you traded the car based on them paying it off as they said. If they give you the go around. Contact Lexus and let them know what happen and tell them that you will be contacting the state A.G. office and better business bureau office. Also if you made any payments on it, they must reimburse you principal+interest. Legally the car is yours since you are paying for it. It would be the equivalent of a borrower defaulting and the co-borrower having to pay, by law the car belongs to the co-borrower. If you make payments you own it. Tell the finance guy that if the matter cannot be resolved before you leave the dealer, you will contact the AG office/business bureau/Lexus and the media. This matter should have been resolved within 30 days. Sadly there dealers out there willing to do this, but it is illegal and deceiving. Generally everyone can tell you what to do, but only people involved with the business know the way to beat the system. By the way the reason that they do it, is to get a customer to make payments and lower their payoff obligation, under the law the car payment cease to be your obligation once they took ownership, you must have signed off a deed of acquital to them. Otherwise it would be like abandoning your property on their lot which means they must contact you to pick it up before getting rid of it. Follow these steps and you will be okay. Keep us posted, I will check back everyone other day.

    Regards,

I have emailed lexus last night, no response yet, also did send a note to lexus financial that its my car, if you want me to pay, deliver it back to my driveway. My attny is sending them a note

I sure will write to Nassau county and NY DA/AG/ BBB, if no response by this weekend.

If there is any one else with similar and current problem with Lexus please do contact me.

Hi there - I just got an OUT THE DOOR quote today for $42,523.41 from Park Place Mission Viejo, CA and $42k from Longo, CA. Should I push for $40.9k OTD since that's the quote you got?
  • marabuntamarabunta Member Posts: 24
I obtained a vehicle with Navigation that listed for $47,250 when they had close to 100 RX350s. After purchasing the vehicle I suspect that they made a mistake in the wording of their e-mail response to my inquiry. They said they would sell me a car that listed for $47,250 (a price that included the destination charge) for $40,980. When they tried to add the destination charge of about $875 to the $40,980 I told them that I did not believe it was right to tell me they would try to add the destination charge after I came to buy the vehicle based on their quote. I believe that they changed the way they word their e-mail quotes as a result of my deal. In addition, I believe that they are down to 20 RX350s and they may not be willing to deal as much. I love my vehicle and have absolutely no complaints. The most important factor to me in purchasing my RX350 was getting one that was manufactured in Japan as opposed to Canada. I have read a lot of material that indicates the vehicles manufactured in Japan are better cars. I would go with the cheapest price because it does not matter where you service it. You can always try to push for a little more of a discount......it is the end of the month! Good luck.

Has anyone had recent experience purchasing this vehicle recently in northern Virginia? I have requested a quote through the Costco car buying program to see what deals they offer. Has anyone else bought through this program? Just a side note.....car buying is my least favorite activity.

Anyway, I really just want the AWD model with premium package. Most of the other features I like are standard or included in the prem package. Any suggestions or experiences would be appreciated.

    Cheers!

I brought mine from Lexus Alexandria. my sales guy was really great, not sure if I got the best price but i had been looking for a while and a few dealerships seemed to think it was funny to quote one thing and then when I get to the dealership say I must have misunderstood. Perry Quoted me out the door price of 44,250 that included, tax and tags. Drop me a line if u want his number.

Just purchased a 2010 RX 350 FWD with premium package at Lexus of Silver Spring for $38,500 out-the-door. Just add the price of the AWD option and you should be in the neighborhood, though i'm not certain if the AWD is offered with only the premium package. After much looking and haggling I am fairly certain that this is about as low as you can get in this area and at this time. A couple of other dealerships would not sell us the car at this price. Lowest at Pohanka was $39,100 for the exact same model. The lowest price I could get on a 350 AWD with Nav, Premium, Comfort was $43,888 OTD, not worth the difference for us. FWIW It was a good amount of work to get it down to this price. We also got quotes through a car buying program, but could get the price lower on our own. Hope this helps.
  • exsalesguyexsalesguy Member Posts: 1
You can honestly get a better deal through the dealership if you do some research and negotiate. I sold cars for several years and our dealership partnered with Costco to offer deals for members. However, Costco charges the dealership to offer their cars through their stores, so the dealerships simply add that amount to the lowest price they're willing to sell the cars.

We used to use the line, "tell you what, we'll give you the Costco member deal, even though you're not a member" and people would get excited and buy the car not knowing they could have received a better deal if they had done some research.

I've been quoted 50,800 msrp for prem, comfort and luxury,

What Can I expect for these options.

Also, my dealer says they don't install rear dvd on the 2010 because of the headrest. Has anyone gotten it install at the dealers? Are these hard to find. What's the price for prem, nav, comfort, luxury and dvd rear.

Thanks, I just need to know what's the price people are paying for these cars, i have read the forum, but not much people list everything they have or it was a deal back in december.

    thanks in advance.

    Finally got a call fromGM
he says they were not supposed to sell car at the price and apparently, if I had leased they might added dollars in that amount and I may not be able to find out.
What do I do? I would have never returned old vehicle, if they would have not promised to cover the old lease paymenst for four months.

Sounds like a crock to me. The salesman is the dealer's agent and in that capacity, if he sells you a car, it is a done deal. Should be between the GM and the salesman. Not your problem. Looks like fraud to me.

Thanks for all the great info on this Forum. Very helpful. Have a couple of questions before writing the big check. Please forgive my ignorance, but I am perplexed by two different RX350 FWD Vehicle Base Model price invoices I received from several dealers. One reads $37,625 Vehicle Base Price, and the other $37,250 Vehicle Base Price. I’ve read the two invoices over and over, and can’t see the $375 difference. Am I missing something? Base Price shown on Edmunds.com and Lexus.com is $37,625. Is this a differently equipped car or an invoice issued before Lexus raised their prices? It reads like the exact same car to me. Please advise. I am also unclear as to the difference between the 19” Alloy Wheels that come with the Luxury Pkg., and 19” Chrome Wheels (prices ranging from $800 to $3,000 extra) that several dealers insist are a must. Aren’t the 19” Alloy Wheels the larger shiny seven-spoke wheels I see on most RX350s? What about the Sport Pkg. 19” Alloy Wheels with Superchrome Finish? No dealer has even mentioned them to me. The price differences are so vast; I don’t know what to think. The higher the price, the better the chrome quality or ? Are 19” Chrome Wheels that much nicer than 19” Alloy ones? Are they also seven spoke? Obviously I am totally clueless about wheels. I realize such things as chrome wheels are a matter of taste, but since I don’t know how either the alloy or the chrome taste, I defer to the expertise of this Forum for education and advice. Thanks.
  • rparisrparis Member Posts: 368
I believe the price difference of almost $400 could be the higher priced vehicle has the Lexus Enform with Safety Connect which I think, was not standard equipment or even available on earlier manufactured vehicles.

I've heard unofficially that there will be a "program" equal to or better than the December deals, coming around the 15th or so of Feb. Residual to stay the same 60/62/63 and hopefully the MF will go down.
    can anyone confirm?
  • rexx08rexx08 Member Posts: 17
Have you heard anything further? Thanks.
  • maximafanmaximafan Member Posts: 592
I recently saw a 2010 RX with the 19-inch "Chrome" wheels. I have to say, I think they look nicer than the regular alloy 19-inch rims. They're both the exact same rims, and, of course it will cost more for the "Chrome" 19 inchers. There's also an 18-inch alloy that should be the standard wheel. These look like the same rims that were on the 2004-2007 model RX's. I live in the Tampa Bay area, and they're selling them with the seven-spoke alloy 19-inchers, even though they charge you for them.

I am sorry for asking stupid questions but what is 60/62/63 and MF means?
    :confuse:
  • rexx08rexx08 Member Posts: 17
When you lease a car, the car is essentially sold to the manufacturer's financing arm or participating lender and then leased back to you. You are paying for the portion of the car that is attributable to the lease. 60/62/63 is the % residual value of the MSRP that is attributable to the lease depending upon whether your lease is 10k/12k/15k per year over 3 years. So, if the MSRP is $40,000, your purchase price is $38,000 (which includes any cap cost reductions) and you have a 12k/year 3 yr lease, the residual value of the car on the lease is 24,800 (40,000 x 62%) and you are paying for the difference between your purchase price and the residual value ($13,200) over the course of your lease. The money factor is financing the average value of the car during the term of your lease (the average of your purchase price and the residual value); if you multiply the money factor by 2400, you get the annual percentage rate on such amount.

No. If you have navigation, then the rear camera pops up in the navigation lcd display. If you don't, it pops up in the left side of the rear view mirror. It's lower resolution, but I prefer it because you can look back at the mirror and the camera at the same time. And the beeping thing, it has that too.
  • marabuntamarabunta Member Posts: 24
My price was based on an internet inquiry. I only contacted the dealer in response to the quote they sent me. I would start by sending a request for a quote to your local dealers. Then change your zip code to 92677 (mine) and send a request to the dealers in my area for a price quote. If the difference justifies a trip to California, then I would come here to pick it up. The dealer can waive California tax, title and license fees in favor to your local state. You will have 30 days to pay the fees and license the car in your area.

    Hi,
After initially not being on the radar, the wife and I are now thinking of leasing an RX. Here is what we got through Costco:

    2010 RX350 AWD
    Premium pkg
    Wood and leather steering wheel
    Backup monitor
    Heating and cooling seats.
    Tow Prep

The MSRP is $44,290. The dealer says the selling price is $40,820 based on the Costco plan of $500 over invoice. The numbers didn't quite add up with Edmunds. The dealer says the selling/invoice price also includes local Advertising Fees of about $1,000. I know all dealers add Destination and Handling to the invoice, but this is the first time I saw a dealer add its Ad Fees to the invoice.

    36mos, Residual 62%, MF .00230

This worked out to $1,625 (initial fee w/zero down), $568/mo including taxes (7%)

    My questions:
    1. Is it common for Lexus dealers to add the Ad Fees to the invoice?

    2. Is this a good deal?

    3. If not, anyone know of a better one in the Tristate area? (btw, we're now thinking of adding the Nav pkg)

finally, lexus of RVC did right thing, even after few calls. They paid for my left over lease payments and cudos to GM there. They fixed a wrong and that was great. Thanks to them and you all for advise on this issue.
