    Dealer is offering me GLC350e 36/12 in zip code 92606:

    $43145 Selling Price
    $12700 Discount
    $6640 Dealer actual discount ($12700 - $4460 lease incentive -$2000 MB incentive )

    Assuming $1000 down payment, What would be the capitalized cost reduction in this scenario?

    b) $6640 + $1000 down payment
    c) just the $1000 down payment

    But he quoted me $489/m with $2k drive off. My calculations showed a payment of $460 with $1k down payment/drive off (I wasn't aware that certain fees had to be paid upfront)

    I calculated $1720 for fees (I thought $80 was CA doc limit?) but not the upfront tax on the rebates? How/where does that get calculated?

    14. Adjusted capitalized cost – residual value
    $39,910 - $30,156 = $9,754 depreciation amount

    15. Depreciation amount / number of months
    $9,764/36 = $270.95 base payment

    16. (adjusted capitalized cost + residual) x MF
    $39,910 + $30,156 = $70,066 x 0.00114 = $79.88 rent charge/interest per month

    17. Rent charge + base payment
    $79.88 + $270.81 = $35.830 pretax lease payment

    18. Payment x local tax rate

    You are subtracting the $4460 twice.
    You are including it as a discount and as a CAP reduction.

    Using your numbers above
    Adjusted CAP = $44370 ($42645 + $1725)
    The $4460 was already accounted for to get down to the $42645.

    I would estimate fees as:
    $795 acq.fee (some dealers mark this up to $1095)
    $610 DMV fees
    $85 doc fee (went up in 2018)
    $345 (upfront tax on rebate)

    You aren't having any issues with the formula or math.
