    First possibility, is they've quoted you a higher MF since they haven't run your credit yet, and are hedging their bets.

    Second, is greed. Marking it up for extra profit.

    Tell them you won't sign a deal unless you get the base MF.

    And, really, it's not as big of a difference as you may think - .12% vs. .46%. Still darn cheap money.
