I went to two MINI dealerships in the long island area, ny and was told there is a pilot program when it comes to Money Factors with Mini Financial, they showed my the info on their dealers screens. Basically they said it assumes the same money factor (.00177) for everyone in the NY area. That way there are no surprises when they run your credit and your payments will not go up if your credit is lower. I thought it was BS considering if you have a good credit score. They said it will becoming to BMW financial soon. What do you make of this?

I show .00175 as the base MF for NY.

But, I'd be real leery of a program that doesn't penalize people with poor credit.

I suppose the bank can do whatever they think is in it's best interest, however. Be interesting to see how it is received by the dealers and the public at large.

I know BMW has experimented with a few things in the past, only to reverse course.

My calculations gave me $317 after days of torture and dealing with the nonsense at the dealership I signed at $320 a month

out of pocket I paid my dmv, ridiculous doc fee, and bmw bank fee. 

Hopefully this helps people. Leasing isn’t rocket science. It’s numbers and a formula. Don’t let the dealer trick you into believing that simple math is somehow wrong on your behalf. You need an msrp and a negotiated sale price along with mf and residual and you can calculate your monthly payment.
