Looking at a lease on a 2019 A7 Prestige. Attaching the lease info from dealer below. Am new to all this, so looking to see if this is a fair deal? They are telling me payments for 36mo/15k will be 1196 w/ $5k due on delivery - which is supposed to cover tax/title/license/etc, but looking at this is the $5k just cap cost reduction? Confused about line items 6,7,30,31,32. Any thoughts or help understanding?

What is your ZIP code?

A cursory glance tells me this is a bad deal, but when we know where you're located, we'll better understand why.

The $999 for maint is prepaid Audi Care which they tell me adjusts the residual such that it makes it a break even consideration on the lease.

The lease numbers are .00143 and 43%, with $5000 dealer marketing allowance.

Audi Care adds 1% to the residual, so 44% is correct for this deal.

The math is correct, but the marked up MF is adding $24/mo to the payment.

I don't know what line 6 represents; you'll have to ask the dealer.

Line 7 is the remainder of your $5000 after the 1st payment is subtracted.

30,31,32 is simply the cash out of your pocket.

I wouldn't start a lease with so much up front; usually, we recommend just the first payment and any registration costs.

I'd push for the base MF and an understanding of what the $1800 on line 6 is.

How does Iowa manage sales tax on a lease? The worksheet seems to indicate that it is up front tax assessed against the sum of the payments, and is rolled into the monthly payment.

42/15 - .00163 and 41%

43% would be for 42/12 P+ or 36/15 for the Prestige trim.

They aren't the same thing - I would get clarity on that from the dealer.

Hello friends...can anyone provide current guidance for residual and MF on a 2019 A7 lease? I’m looking at a premium plus, 36 months and probably 7500 mi/year. Seeing a very wide range in discounts off MSRP so any advice there would help as well. I live in 63144 but am thinking to go out of state for a better selection (CA dealers seem to have the most inventory)
