Does anyone on the forum have any insight into the circumstances with a 1 pay lease. I am aware that if the vehicle were to be a total loss that I would lose my money. Looking at a G70 and also a TLX. The latter has an extremely high money factor but good support otherwise. Wondering if the money factor goes away or is reduced with the decision to not make payments (finance). Also, do folks get a discount overall or changes to any other terms for 1 pay? Any guidance is appreciated very much.

Actually, your assumption about total loss are wrong.
Single pay leases work just like regular leases, in the instance of total loss. The lease payments are treated as though they were held in escrow, and you should be refunded a pro-rated portion, in the event of total loss.

The money factor is reduced. It does not go away.

The difference in money factor is the only change from a standard lease. It's a lower money factor, in exchange for making all of your payments upfront.

Of course, no point in single pay lease on the G70.

msrp 46000, sales price 37000.
Based on MF of .00011 and 45% residual...

I leased a new 2019 G70 3.3 AWD Prestige on 1/9. My lease deal was really complex, but the bottom line is they took $9215 off MSRP and gave me an outrageously high value of $26500 on my IS300 for trade (buyout $29k; six lease payments left).
