Those P340 36 month numbers look outstanding. With a decent discount you could get a pretty low payment even on a relatively expensive car.

Hi...a new to the whole lease game so would appreciate some advice on what I am getting offered for the 2020 p300 CF coupe 2.0L. Right now they are offering me a adjusted selling price for the vehicle at close to 75k, with the total balance being about 81k once you include taxes and fees. For 10k miles a year they are asking for $17k down and $705 per month for 39 months. Any advice on what monthly payment and upfront money I should be shooting for in zip 22043 would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What is the MSRP?

You should never put that much upfront on a lease. It just masks what you are actually paying per month. Your all-in cost is over $1100/mo.

The price seems to be about $50/mo. higher than I roughly calculate. I would assume they are marking up the money factor.

Issues:
Small discount (about 3% off MSRP)
Apparent marked up money factor
Checkered Flag edition

The CF residuals are 4% to 5% lower than the comparable non-CF model. I'm not familiar with that trim, but that just kills a lease deal. Is it really cool enough to pay $80-$100/mo. more?

Awesome, thank you for the quick reply! Can you also send the 36/10 numbers for those 3 coupe models when you have a chance? Getting closer to pulling the trigger and 340 seems like the best bet. I’m shocked by that MF, initial dealer quote was 0.0006, a 60 fold difference!

So I’m pretty set on the 2020 P340 coupe. Left the dealership without making a deal.
I’m ordering a new car, here are the details:

MSRP 76820
Negotiated 70585
8% sales tax
0 down payment
56% residual (36/10)
0.00015 MF
890/month

What do you guys think? They wouldn’t go lower on the MF. I’m not sure how they got to 890. Even if I tack on an extra 1000 in fees, I’m calculating around 875/month. The negotiated price is with this months current lease cash incentive, which would probably get better once the car arrives in 3 months. My target is 750/month and I definitely don’t want to go over 800. Think thats unreasonable?

The money factor markup is pretty small. Will they lock in the rate until the car arrives?

Amount due at signing on that quote?
Did they supply the adjusted CAP cost?

Yep, they said they would lock in this months rates. I’m in the northeast, shopping around Philadelphia (19103), South Jersey, Delaware area. I’d need to pay first monthly payment when signing. I’m sure there will be an extra 500-1000 in acquisition fees but we didn’t get that far. I didn’t specifically ask for adjusted cap cost but I assumed it would be 70585, since it includes the cash incentive. I also have no down payment and am not trading in a vehicle. I feel like this gives me a decent baseline to work with, especially since theres no shortage of Jaguar dealerships in the area.

What state do you live in?
The acquisition fee alone is $895.

I live in PA currently. Wow 895...so thats on top of the 200 the dealer charges to prepare the documents. Perhaps I should try to negotiate a lot of these fees into the monthly payment.

Good luck.

Bank fee is imposed by the bank, and goes to them. You can try to negotiate a lower price, but on an ordered vehicle you don't have as much leverage.

Oh, one more piece of bad news. PA has a 3% lease specific surcharge on the sales tax, so your total tax hit will be 11%.

Ahh you’re right, I thought 8% was bad enough...now I see how they arrived at 890. I’ll check with a few other local dealers to see if they can do a little better. Perhaps my target price was unrealistic. I was shooting for monthly payment to be about 1% of msrp, but the residuals on these cars have gone down considerably in the past 3 years.
