2013 and earlier-Acura RDX Prices Paid and Buying Experience

I never thought of, but like I said in previous posts, 3 dealerships were willing to let me walk when I pushed $33,000. Got mine at $33,429.

Once again, I will say Napleton was upfront, seemed honest, and didn't play any games. I tried the $33,000 and they wouldn't do it. Even tried to putz around before pulling out of their lot and they never tried to bring me back in. Went back to McGrath because the sales rep was honest as well and I told him I would at least come back to see if they would match the price. They did.

Can someone help me with these #s, I have plugged these into 2 (Edmund's and Bankrate) different lease calculators and they still don't come out as high as what the monthly that the dealer is quoting. Am I missing something? This is an Illinois dealor so tax is on the entire price, but I have taken that into consideration and I still come out with $395/month versus the dealor quote of $445/month.

    All help is greatly appreciated.

    All the best,

    (Dealor quote below)

    MSRP 37410 INVOICE 34429

    SELL: 34429-1000-529 ( BELOW COST)

    RESIDUAL 52% 10K PER YEAR (51 FOR 12)

    LIC TITL 65+78=143
    25 EVR 150 DOC

    $445 X 36

It looks like your entire $3000 upfront is fees and taxes..

So... to your selling price, you have to add the acquisition fee ($595) and capitalize the first payment ($445).. When you add those to the cap cost, I get right about $446/mo... which is just a dollar off his number....

    Thanks Kyfdx! Much appreciated!
Is there a good site or program that can show me how to accurately calculate the lease payments from the residual, mf, cap cost, msrp and terms? Everytime I plug the #s in they always come out less.

Thanks again though for the confirmation.

    All the best!

36 months with 12,000 miles per year
$3,000 down (everything included in that amount)
    $399 a month

Is the only difference between the 2008 and 2009 the fact that the passenger seat is now electric?

If that is for a new 2008 RDX with Tech pckg I would say that that is a very good deal! Congratulations. Would you mind saying where you got that deal?
  • If 36,371 includes tax, licensing, etc, then that's a good deal. It's hard to compare prices regionally. They are different. Try to break it down to see what price you're getting before tax, licensing, dest charge. If it's less than $33,715 it's a good deal. Enjoy your car. Except for the gas prices, I'm loving it. :surprise:

Just bought RDX with Tech package + Roof Rack + All Season Mats +Cargo Tray + Wheel locks for 32700 + Tax + DMV Registration. the price includes destination.
I financed the car with Acura 0.9% financing for 36 months.

If I did not finance, there was room for another $500 discount I think. Based on what I researched so far, he is selling this at a no or very minimal profit.
  • That's the only difference!!
  • I am planning to buy New 08 RDX Base. Can anyone tell me the best price that i can negotiate for?

  • I just negotiated for a Base RDX, 36 months, 18k miles per year, $2100. down inc. 1st month and all taxes and fees, and $476. a month. Fair?
  • anyone has most recently quote for RDX w/t?
How low it could be? Would it possible to get one in CT for $29,000+tax?

    Hi qwerty123,

I live in the Bay Area and am also looking to purchase a RDX. May I ask where you bought your car? (if you can provide the name of the salesperson taht would be even better). How do you like it so far? Thanks.
  • I got the offer around Philadelphia area for $28,770 + taxes, so your offer is about $500 better.
    Thank you

Could you tell me what dealer in the Philly area gave you that price? Did it include doc fees as well? I've been looking at the CR-V, but with the cash back on the RDX, it's now in the ballpark.
  • Planning to buy new RDX 08 or 09 if available. Any good deals for this in Dallas TX area. I am looking for a technology package.

New 08 TECH for Invoice less the $2500 incentives and 0.9% for 36m and $4000 over KBB for trade. Plus TTL and $150 doc fee.

Chicagoland dealer in Woodfield area. I don't think Edmunds allows you to post dealer info but if they do I would be glad to; amazing experience.

Have a quote of 32,963 OTD price on an 2008 Acura RDX w/ Tech package. Good deal or not?
  • depdep Posts: 79
No way for us to tell you. You have to break it down into each element of the deal.
  • cargal7cargal7 Posts: 2
Quoted as: 2008 Acura RDX w/ Tech pkg - price $31,050,
    $760 destination charge
    $170 dealer fee
    $933 tax
    $40 tags
    $10 title fee
    OTD price $32,963.

If the RDX is new (not a DEMO, loaner, test drive mule, etc) then it is a very good deal!

If you have a trade then you would need to determine if they are giving you a good price on that or not.

    2008 Acura RDX Base (New)

$27655 Price (includes cargo tray, wheel locks, and mud flaps)
    $760 Destination
    $1708 Tax
    $180 Title, Tags & Docs

    $30300 OTD

    How'd I do?
  • could have done better. way better.
  • depdep Posts: 79
The base RDX is 31,265 less $2500 incentive = $28,765

You paid $28,330 + TTL which is a great deal assuming it is a new RDX (not a demo, loaner, etc) and assuming you got a good price on your trade, if any.

    Did you take the .9%?
  • free888free888 Posts: 18
It was brand new (less than 10 miles on it, still had the bags on the seats, etc.). No trade in, eligible for the .9%, took the 3.9% for 60 months.
  • depdep Posts: 79
Yep, that is a great deal on a great car! It is not often that an Acura sells for ~3k under invoice. And, this is even early in the model cycle.

  • i'm looking to get into New 08 RDX Base this weekend,

If anyone received a good deal lately please let post your finding

    I'm in North Jersey
