    Perhaps if dealers are forced to 'reveal' a MF, they state a higher factor to cover people who might have lesser credit scores? Only reserving .0001 for those who, once their credit score is obtained, have the best credit?

    I don't know... just guessing. I have a friend in the car business (sales manager) so, I'll ask him about that.

    Most likely it's an attempt to markup the rate for a higher profit.

    Dealer told me they were going to charge .00141 instead of .0001 to "make a little money on the deal". He almost seemed a bit bothered that I even knew about the .0001 rate and how to calculate a lease myself.
