I read somewhere that Volvo has a $1,000 conquest for current owners of Acura, Infiniti, or Lexus. Can someone validate this is accurate? Also, is the MF and Residual national for Volvo or Regional?

MF and residual is national. Incentives vary by region.

Conquest incentives could also vary by region. What is your location?

That is a Volvo-to-dealer incentive that will hopefully result in a lower selling price for you.

Again, we have no information about your other potential incentives

I am looking at a Demo S60 T5M at a local dealer...the MSRP on the car is $40,490, advertised price after "Dealer discounts" is $32,846.
Do you happen to know if Demo's or Loaners fall under the same programs as "new" and get the same $4k incentives or is there something different for them? Salesperson was mentioning that "the program is different" for the Demo car. Not sure if I'm being jerked around or if there is in fact something different.

Also, are the $4k incentives for everyone or does that include something for current Volvo owners?

If they haven't been titled, demo or loaner vehicles are subject to the new car lease program.

However, it's possible there will be an adjustment to the residual value for the existing miles, but we don't have any insight as to how Volvo manages that.

If the selling price is inclusive of the incentive, then you may be able to get a better price. Not sure of the targets for Volvo, but for BMW we recommend 15-18% off MSRP, before incentives.

Thanks, unfortunately she was unwilling to provide any information over the phone/text without me physically going into the dealership. The most I got from her was the following information, but not sure that any of the information adds up:

MSRP: $40,490
Dealer has it advertised online $32,846 however they're giving a "total discount of $10,644" so the "selling price" would be $29,846.
With that information, this is the deal she offered:

36/7,500
$750 TOP
$499/month tax included


As a comparison, they have an advertised deal on a base model T5M without premium package, here's what she quoted me for that based on my requested TOP, instead of their "$2600" that they require...

MSRP: $37,045
36/7,7500
$750 TOP
$390/month tax included

Throughout all of this, I asked her for a breakdown of the lease with residual and what MF they're using, however she refused to provide that, so not sure that I can make an informed decision here, or even know WTH they're quoting me for. I find that even $390 for a base model is still too much, but not sure if I'm calculating this incorrectly.

Are you seriously shopping, or are you simply filling out numbers on a spreadsheet?

Shopping for the best deal, I've found, often results in picking the wrong car.

I suggest you do some test drives, find out what you'd be happy driving for the next 3 or 4 years, then come back and get the numbers from us.

Looks like a very good deal.

If you pay your licensing fees upfront, they will be non-taxable.

$44000 isn't your adjusted CAP cost.
The adjusted CAP includes everything that is rolled into the payment.
To get the adjusted CAP, you have to add in the fees and licensing, plus the upfront tax on the rebates.
(should be around $45,650)

Thanks for the quick feedback Kyfdx and the education on the cap cost. Good point about the licensing fees. Do you think I could push deeper than an 8% discount off the MSRP or is that getting close to the max? I saw in an earlier post about 15% for BMW’s but they were not sure about Volvo’s.
