Most of SAC dealers are not interested in giving quotes, they think someone buying at this time must be desperate and willing to pay high price.

Eliminate the pricing guesswork in NJ . Do your own research .. Here is how. Dealers that wont negotiate online, by phone remove off your list move onto the next dealer.

I would email / call 15 closet NJ dealers Internet mangers / dept , ask each dealers mgr. IF you buy/ lease vehicle by end of this month or day of call... would dealership sell @500 below models invoice price for a immediate sale. Its a... Yes or No answer.... Or at worst a counter offer to your buying price.

Try these NJ dealerships in addition to yours

    DCH Academy / Kay,Paramus , Garden state, Auto-sport, Clinton , Route23, Mahwah for starters

    Good luck
    @brian125

    Hi Brian,
I followed your recommendations for my last car purchase in 2013 and was hoping you would have some words of wisdom for 2020. I live in SC and have been looking to make a cash purchase of a 2020 Honda Accord. I am willing to travel. In 2013, I bought a Honda at Pohanka in Fredricksburg, VA. I have them on my list to contact this time, but was wondering if you have others in the region that I should have on my short list?
Appreciate any comments that you might have regarding the current car buying environment.
    Cheers,
    Tom

Purchasing tomorrow ($500 deposit placed today)

    Honda Accord 2020 EX 1.5 T

    MSRP $28875
    Sales price $24204 (-16.2% MSRP)
Dealer added options $399 (wheel locks, tint, trunk tray, pinstriping)- will comment at end
    Dealer fee $897 (Florida)
    Taxes $1555
    Registration $225
Rebate (Honda loyalty and First responder) $1500

OTD 25780 (for an OTD total of -10.7% off MSRP)

I had other OTD offer of $25679, but the dealer I purchased from has sold us or last two Hondas, and we like their salesman- in addition, the only value option is the tinting- the difference in these 2 deals is only $101, and I don't think you could get quality tinting for that price. I would love to have negotiated out the dealer fee, but I had contacted about 15 dealers OTD pricing, and this (and 3 other quotes) were very hard to beat. I guess I could have waited till the end of the month to see what would have transpired, but inventory on the color I wanted was somewhat limited.

Have to finance through Honda Financial, in order to get rebates but I plan on paying off the car within 2 weeks, and there is no prepayment penalty.

    I think I got a great deal.

Can you share which dealership you went to? I'm also in Florida and looking at the same car 2020 Honda Accord EX and the lowest I found was $28,200 OTD so I don't feel I'm getting the best deal. Honda loyalty and first responder don't apply for me but it's still $1k more than the deal you got when removing those extra discounts. Thanks

Coggin Honda Orlando. However, the best price that I actually was able to get was at classic Honda, but I purchased the vehicle from Coggin for only $101 more bit got window tinting, splash guards, wheel lock, and trunk tray. Anecdotally, I think that the dealerships are getting a little busier here. The dealership where I purchased had 12 Ex 1.5 available last week, and now they’re down to around 8..

Looking for a 2020 accord touring hybrid or reg. Any dealer incentives? Customer cash or Honda $500 cents out there?

Saw one post of $31978? Any others?

    Thanks for your help!

Did you end up buying a Touring Hybrid? What did you pay? Was the $31978 you saw posted a hybrid and was that out-the-door?! Trying to find what I should pay for a new 2020 Accord Hybrid Touring without taxes, tags and title fees. Thank you in advance for any help you may give.

"I did buy a 9 year/150,000 miles bumper to bumper extended warranty thru Honda Care. Finance manager offered at $1,900. I negotiated to $1,600. I have 60 days to cancel, but that money would be put towards the balance of loan. So, it would be paid off earlier. Any opinions on my extended warranty or it's price? Any other questions, feel free to ask/tag me."

I recently received pricing on purchasing a Honda Care warranty direct from a Honda dealership that sells on the web. They didn't offer the length that you purchased. They offered a 8/120, $0 deductible for $1,175. I guess it depends on whether you need that # of years or miles.

Thanks for the info. I'm about 35 days from my purchase date. My 2020 Accord is certified pre-owned, so I wonder if the price is a bit higher than it would be if I had bought brand new.. The finance officer said Honda "just started" offering the 9 year/150k deal on certified preowned. He said the $1,600 price was at cost, but you know how that can go.

But, my Honda being "Certified PLUS" pre-owned, it would have already come with an extra 2 years/50,000 miles of additional coverage, for a total of 5 year/86,000 miles of bumper to bumper and 7 year/100,000 mile on the powertrain. SO, for $1,600 I'm getting an extra 4 years/64,000 miles of bumper to bumper and an extra 2 years/50,000 miles.on the powertrain.

So, still undecided if I want to cancel or not. Leaning towards keeping it as thats what my wife wants to do.

Hi, I’ve been searching for a good lease price on 2020 Accord EX-L 1.5 and have started to question if purchasing is simply a better option seeing as how expensive the lease seems to be at the moment. It seems rather cut and dry with purchasing as I’ve spoken to 3 dealers and they’ve all quoted me at the exact same price give or take $2-3/month ($6k down, 72mo, $397 inc taxes).

Is there any strategy you would recommend to try to get the dealers to come down on this price at all or am I pretty much at their rock bottom with the incentives that are out there? I do work for a hospital but I’m not a licensed medical professional, so I don’t believe I would qualify for that extra incentive? Also, there’s such limited quantity on this trim right now that it seems like they have no desire to move the prices any lower.

Any tips? I’m in zip 11703 (Long Island, NY).

    Thanks!

How many EX-L's in dealer inventory? If not many, you'll have you're work cut out for you. But, you've asked for dealer quotes, and they've given you.a quote. You can get them at a.lower price by making an actual lower offer. You don't ask...you don't get. You also could expand your search....say within a 3 or 4 hour drive radius of where you live.

Not sure how long Honda has had the current 0% financing, but looks to be about a $7,000 discount. Great deal. How'd you negotiate it?
I like the all weather mats that came with my 2020 Accord. Includes a fitted mat for the trunk. Cleans up nice and quick. Looks nice.
