I just read an article in the LA Times about the latest with tires.
It seems that the glue (If that's the right word.) between body and tread deteriorates after 5 years or so. So a 'NEW' spare that wasn't on the ground for 4 years is just as prone to failure.
Being that this discussion has slowed down quite a bit, let's please continue this subject in this Maintenance & Repair discussion: Firestone Tire Recall. Are mine a problem? Feel free to copy/paste any of your messages into that discussion.
