The above deals on the XC90 are a ripoff. I have a 36 month lease at 12K a year with $1,374 down with a MRSP of $62,480 on a T6 momentum 7 passenger at $700.00 a month. I thought this was too much and should have been about $20 less a month. The dealer is close to house and supposedly has very good service. Service Dept is important to me.

Agreed. I am about to close a lease on T6 mom 7 seats. msrp 63k. 36/10. about 630/month with 0 down. There is probably some more room but I did not try too hard.

That is a great deal. My up front fees were 1st month, motor vehicle fees, and small miscellaneous fees. I had dealer fee of $799 and acquisition fee rolled into lease. Dealer fee is a Florida thing that every dealership adds on.

Dealer fee is capped at 75$ in NY. I need to pay sales tax + dealer fee + dmv fee + 1st month upfront. The acquisition fee is rolled into lease as well. I am returning my current xc90 lease so there is likely loyalty discount applied.

Could I please get the latest MF/Residual/Incentives for a XC90 T5 AWD Momentum 7P in 98007 at 36/10k and 36/12k? I have A-Plan, in case that matters.

Trying to lease this for my wife, first "nice" car we'll have owned. (But not before an all-nighter doing research!)

My plan is to go in the morning with an offer, and if the dealer can't get close, try the next. I got an offer from my closest dealer at $5k DAS and it seemed very high. Unless my numbers are completely off -- this looks like a .00319 MF(!?) with 59% residual for 10k miles. Any thoughts?

My take on this deal is that it is terrible. Are you trading a car $5,500 and $5,000 down means you are giving them about $10,000? The extra $500.00 from above I am assuming for motor vehicle fees and miscellaneous fees. I suspect the money factor is being jacked up. I also think for a T5 momentum you should not be paying this monthly. Maybe for T6 I could see the monthly around $650 with minimal down. I also think above quotes you are getting is without tax.

Yes, looks like a massive markup to the money factor.
They circled the $5000 customer cash row, but the numbers on the right are for $2500 customer cash + $5500 trade-in. I would never start a lease with $8000 upfront.

Considering the worthless extras, and the $2000 dealer incentive, the effective discount is only $3000. Nothing to get excited about.

Also, the payment with the base MF and $2500 cash should be $555/mo, vs. their quote of $651/mo.

Update on my hunt. This is the best I could do with local dealers. Got them down to realistic MF (0.0015) and convinced them to remove $650 of unnecessary extras, but they're not budging on dealer discount.

I could probably get a bit more discount, but I'd have to be willing to push much harder, or look for dealers further away. The $10,305 DAS includes $5,500 for my trade-in, which I didn't negotiate but I think is reasonable. Blue Book is $7,500 but the car has some body damage.

Dealer says $10k DAS is not unusual for a sub-$450 monthly payment on this car at 12k/36.

Thoughts? I'm close to pulling the trigger tomorrow morning. It's crystal white metallic with blonde interiors, and just beautiful.

Seems silly for them to resist giving you the base MF; a .00005 markup is hardly anything extra for them. But, whatever.

I would shop your trade in around to see if you can get a better offer, then come back to the dealer and ask them to match it. I did that with my last purchase and got the dealer to come up $2K on their first trade offer.

I understand the desire to have a low payment, but be aware that if the car is totaled on the drive home from the dealership, that trade equity and up front cash are ..... gone. The whole idea of a lease is to pay-as-you-go, and pre-paying $10K may save you on the monthly payment, but the overall cost of the lease is still the same.

If you amortize the up front cash into the payment, you are effectively paying $726/mo on a $58K vehicle. Not sure if that's good or not, but the numbers do check out.

Michael's last paragraph is well stated. You are paying $726 per month on a $58,000 vehicle which also has the lower horse power engine. My deal was MRSP of $62,480 on T6 momentum 7 passenger 36/12K with $1,370 down at $700 a month. My problem is the dealer fee which is $800 that is absurd but cannot get out of it. I believed I paid too much, but now especially in the COVID time many vehicle prices are inflated due to low inventory. I would look around.
