I recently bought an 03 Diamonte LS (which I dearly love). I have the owners manual, but those of you who have one also know it contains the info on what to do and how to do it, but not when the mileage is due. It surely can't be more than a page or two, and if some good soul who happens to have such info could e-mail, or mail me, this ole broad would appreciate it!

Over on Edmunds.com there is a Maintenance Schedules, Recalls and Technical Service Bulletins feature that may be helpful. And here in CarSpace Forums, you can post your questions in the Mitsubishi Diamante group.

I know that at the end of my lease, if I choose not to keep the car and return to leasing company, I will have to pay a mileage penalty if I go over the 15,000 miles per year that my contract allows. Do I still have to pay this mileage penalty if I decide to purchase the car, or if I decide to trade the car in on a new vehicle before the lease is up?

I just got a 2006 C230 Benz, looking for the interior air filter.
Could it be that thing above the battery? If so what is keeping out the battery fumes.

Someone in the Purchasing at the End of Your Lease discussion should be able to help or check the Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences board for your make/model leasing discussion.

Check in the Mercedes-Benz C-Class group; the C230 Problems and Repairs discussion may be the best place to ask.

Welcome to CarSpace, fellow Outback owner. :shades: One of the Subaru Crew will be able to help you - try posting in one of the Subaru Legacy & Outback group discussions; perhaps the Subaru Legacy/Outback Wagons Maintenance & Repair one.

Is the v6 engine in this vehicle an interfearence engine? My daughter has one and there seems to be timing chain issues and I need to know if the valve train may be suffering because of it.

    Thanks

I recently purchased a landrover defender 90. The rear spare tire is rusted out. Does anyone know of a fairly inexpensive part store for me to get this I have a part # ANR3141. The dealer in my hood said the parts are few and far between. I was also driving the other day and it slipped out of gear and stalled on me. It acted like it wanted to start but It didn't. The car has 96k Miles on it and was taken very good care of by the gentleman before me. I have 7 years of service records done at the dealership. (from the previous owner) The dealership said the the 90k service the major tune up was done so I'm not due for another one for 30k more miles. Has this happened to anyone? Sounds like a fuel pump to me. Not sure if I want to pay the dealers fees but guess I'll do what I have to.

Any help with the new toy would be greatly appreciated or maybe a link to a website that has parts over seas.

Just purchased a 1300 lb (dry weight) slide in pick up truck camper and now need to find a truck to go with it. The idea is to go on an extended trip this summer and shorter camping trips after that. My budget says it will probably be the years 93 - 99. I know I need a V8. Any thoughts on ford f 250, gas versus diesel for mileage, maintenance etc. Was thinking about a gas 5.8 but found a 460 engine 7.3 liter diesel that I will look at tonight. Any thoughts on trucks built during these years? How about gas versus diesel?

Have a look at our Ford F-Series group. You can talk it over with the F-250 owners hanging out there.

I just recently purchased a 2002 vw passat from a great dealer in my local area. I have only had the car less than a month and has been to the shop 2 times. 1st for the surging and now either the ignition coil stuff or CAT Converter might be plugged up. Can anyone tell me or help me on this one? My mechanic could not find any engine codes but the car is slow at take off. I just repaired the drive shaft and havent even put the 1st payment on it. Could the ignition coils cause the car to take off slow, could this be a cloged CAT converter. Once it gets to 40mph its quick....anyone please help!!!!

But your first move should be to head over to the Classic Cars message board. That will be the place to discuss it. Be sure to mention which car you're considering as different makes and models certainly might have different quirks and issues common to them.

I have a X5 4.4 it has a motor noise like it has no oil
at cranking the motor at starting it. It has no motor
noise any other time and is not consist ant when it does
this. Warm cold first time starting middle of the day.
Is there a oil pump or a sensor that feeds the oil at start that could be failing?
The dealer wants to go in to the bottom end, they say their
not sure why. This seems an unusual answer?
    60k mile. Excellent condition

I had a low tire pressure light come on so I gave all of them air to see if the light would go off. I was curious if this light has to be reset or do you guys think it's a bad sensor ????

Any of you GM owners that have experience with these tire pressure sensors or had similar problems give me an opinion.......

    Thanks,

    Rocky
  • PF_FlyerPF_Flyer Member Posts: 9,372
Use the Browse By Vehicle search in the left sidebar to make your way to the Impala discussions.

We can't have the conversation here, but a note about tire pressure monitors might save you some time. They go off when there's a differential in pressure between tires not when your tires are all low, i.e. one tire is low compared to the to the others. If you simply add air to all the tires that won't reset the light. You need to make sure the pressures in all the tires are the same.
  • rockyleerockylee Member Posts: 14,014
    pf,

Thanks for the advice. I threw some air in them to make sure I could get home. I can't find my pressure guage so I'll be buying a new one today or tommorow. ;)

Just a tip for the future - if you use the Make/Model search on the left for one or the other of the vehicles in a comparo that interests you, it should return a link if the discussion exists. Or you could use the keyword search for both vehicles.

I bought my mazda mpv last year in May. It was brand new but sold as used since it was a 2005 and the dealer wanted the kickbacks so they bought it from themselves.

Anyways since then the automatic door on the left side has broke two times!

That is not right for a new car. Is there anything I can do?

    Thanks!

I have been driving a 1993 V6 Camry with 160,000 miles on it...mostly local driving. I had not changed the coolant since I bought it 3 yrs and 60,000 miles ago. The temperature gauge never went past 1/2 way to hot. After the coolant change by a Toyota dealership, the temperature gauge now spikes up and down during my drives. If I'm moving along on the highway...it stays at about halfway, if I get stuck in a traffic jam...it gets very close to HOT. Is my thermostat messed up now...or is it this new "certified Toyota coolant"?

You can see if other have had this problem and find out how they resolved it in our Mazda MPV Group. If you don't see a discussion that fits your question, you are welcome to create a new one.

There is currently $1,500 dealer marketing support. Is it possible to get the dealer to use this money to reduce the cap cost? The $299/mo lease is with $2,999 down and it would be nice to use this $1,500 to reduce the amount down.

    Thanks.

We are looking for a vehicle to tow behind our RV. When we looked at the Toyota, the dealer told us that no Toyotas could be towed because of the transmission. Does anyone have any information on this? We have seen Toyotas being towed with 4 wheels on the pavement.

I bought this toyota sienna last year and for a month or so my Check Engine light came on, i checked it out today and got the code P0420, which is cat. convertor... the toyota dealership said it would be 1,500 for the parts. i guess i need two of them. Is there any place cheaper? Why is it so much? I checked local auto places and no one sells Cat. Convertors for a 2002 sienna. Can I just drive with out them? Mabey a Junk Yard? I just cant imagine paying that much.
Also, I notice my van makes a Rattling sound in the engine when accelerating. Not sure what that means. any help would be appreciated.. thanks
