I'm guessing alternator, but don't know much about cars... I see so many Passat electrical problems posted here that I'm figuring someone out there can enlighten me ... Thanks...

Altho, if I need a break from whining clients, I do hop onto Edmunds, so I can hear everybody whine when their car is totalled, worth $5K, and they owe $15K, and they wonder why insurance won't pay off their upside down note...I just shift from one whining to another, but the Edmunds whining is quite silent, actually...:):):):):):):):):)..happy, happy me

The supercharger on my Kompressor is causing me a lot of problems and I would like to find out if other owners are experiencing the same problems and if anyone might have a remedy. My car has 118k miles and has a recurring problem with the oil seals on the supercharger failing. This in turn causes the oil to leak into the supercharger and the fuel mixture clogging up the mass air flow sensor. When the sensor becomes clogged it basically renders the supercharger useless.
I have had the M-B dealership supposedly fix the problem under the extended Starmark warranty only to have it happen again after the warranty expired. My current mechanic tells me this is a chronic problem with the M-B supercharger and the only suggestion is to replace the supercharger at my expense $$$$!!!!
Any suggestions? Any fixes or remedies? Should I pursue the lemon laws in the State of Ohio?
Help, I love the car but I am very disappointed with the quality of this particular engine.

" I hereby accept this WE-OWE with the understanding that it is valid for only (90) NINETY DAYS FROM THE DATE OF ISSUANCE, and no refund will be given on any accessories purchased at the time of contract"
THe spoiler is currently not installed and probably being ordered...is there a way I can still get a refund for it??
Thanks in Advance

I have always had a white car. Will black exterior with ebony leather be a terrible choice? I need ebony leather because I have a black lab. What exterior color have you all liked the best?
Please respond. I need to make my choice soon. The dealership cannot find black but they did find silver. On the fence as to whether to settle for that choice. Black gets dirty easy, yes?? But doesn't it look more expensive?

The car has failed inspection this year. The mechanic has suggested me to replace all the four brake calipers. The price quoted on the calipers is around 220 dollars a piece + a labor charge. The invoice price is around 1200 dollars.
Is this the right price for replacing the brake calipers?

Then of course you'll have to deduct for what it would cost to buy and install a USED engine. If it helps, I'd estimate about $3,000--$3,500.
Good luck.
No, you can't sell a car with a bad engine at an auction unless it was to wreckers--who would offer about the same as your mechanic or perhaps a bit more.
