depends on what your dealer fees and tax are and dmv etc...i'm assuming 603 has tax built in...how much is total due at signing....450 does not sound realistic in the current environment to me, maybe some dealer in the nation would do it but like a dream deal right now...try for 525 tax in w just first payment and tag due at signing (maybe ask for 485 and slowly meet them up to 525, see what happens)

What is the selling price?

$0 down or $0 due at signing? They aren't the same thing.

there's so many variables involved that i'd need to see understand about your deal and your friend's bmw deal to be able to make any analysis or observations....but they're obviously selling you the car at full price during a time when that's a pretty common thing for people to pay...a year ago i'd try to get 12 percent off on a mazda, now i'm happy with 4-7 percent and if the supply in your area was low enough then msrp might be a fair if unappealing price....in my opinion 485-525 should be your target if you really want that specific cx9 right now

In CA, you pay tax on the monthly lease payment, not all up front as if you were buying it.

Ask the dealer for a screen shot of their lease worksheet; that way, we will have all the lease numbers that we can run ourselves.
