    Before signing, dealer called to apologize that they won't be able to lease to me because I am not a MI resident (I am from Chicagoland). Apparently, leases in both states are handled differently but they were not able to explain what exactly was the problem.

    I decided to purchase the vehicle at 0% APR for 48 months. The dealer reduced the price additional $135 to make it $29K flat. Dealer document and electronic filing fees were $230 and $24 respectively which is lower than the $303.60 and $39 in IL respectively. In Chicagoland, the best purchase sales price before incentives is about $500 higher but as soon as you mention a lease and the sales price increases to a minimum of $30K or $1,000 higher than what was quoted for lease purposes in MI. Lastly, the dealer also gave me 20 yr/200K miles powertrain warranty free of charge.

    MI and IL are likely to have different lease programs, which would explain the difference in the MF.
