If you haven't signed the paperwork, there is always time to renegotiate the deal.

You want to find out what MF they are using.

I read about that and it says everywhere that it is hard to find that out. Should I just ask them?
For renegotiation, I say yes to people usually so I'm at a place where it tough for me to figure what I say.

Ask them for a screen shot of the lease worksheet; we can figure out what MF they are using from that.

Remember, the salesperson is not your friend; this is a business transaction. Ask for what you want, and if they don't agree, leave and find another dealer.

Also, you're probably more experienced. If I don't re-negotiate the sales price, would it be odd to ask them to include the Beam Rings or accessorize it a bit as complementary?

I didn't see this anywhere in your posts - what lease term and how many miles a year is this lease for?

I can tell you that the MF they've quoted is marked up - it just depends on how much, based on the lease term.

That will add a lot to the monthly payment.

Lease Term is 36 months
Lease Miles is 12000
Additonal is $0.25 per mile

.00005 MF and 50% residual
$3000 lease cash

.00130 is a huge markup (the maximum allowed by the bank)
It is equivalent to them marking up an interest rate by 3%!

I am not sure if they’d bargain on that.

Hey, thanks for sharing that info. I guess it is too late now, I went ahead and signed the lease on 03/01.

@Michaell thank you for all the information and help.

I ended up going back to the dealership on 03/01 and discussed about the money factor. They got back to me and said that the money factor was non negotiable. After going back and forth for a while, they ended up reducing the sales price by another $900 resulting in a $25 per month payment reduction, adjusted the residual to 51% and threw in the $115 theft package without charging it to the lease (I understand that it is something that they would usually do for free but in that moment it felt like I was getting something).

I wish your comment had happened a day earlier and I'd have walked out with your suggestion in mind.
