    The adjusted cap cost has to take into account however much of the $6000 in cash from you is lowering the cap cost.

    Thank you very much!! All of the numbers I listed above came directly from their printout sheet including payment. I really want to be sure they aren’t playing any games. I realize that I can add or subtract cash to affect the payment of course. That’s a lot of cash to buy-down a deal. I think I’ll pass on this high-line unit. As long as this broker wasn’t playing games, I’d use them again but look for something cheaper where I’m not putting so much cash into it.

    $6500 lease cash? They must not be advertising that. I’ve only seen $4500 cash. Ok so I’m structuring a deal and want to be sure I have my numbers right before I email the dealership.

    The car I’m looking at is $61,190 MSRP. Based on my research the invoice for this car is $57,591. I used the edmunds lease calculator and I came up with the following without any other discounts.
    MSRP: $61,190
    Downpayment: $6500 (lease cash)
    Price paid: $54,690
    Money Factor: 0.00013
    Sales Tax 6%
    Residual (49%) 29,983
    Comes out to a monthly payment of $547.
    If I come with a trade in worth $5000 does that bring the price paid down to $49,690?
    Or am I doing this calculation totally wrong?

    I was planning to pay the acquisition fee and dealer fee upfront. I think i'm messing up with the price paid portion. I think I'm double dipping with the calculator. I'm putting the price paid as the price after the down payment instead of it being a negotiated price.
