Am I the only person in this forum that didn't lease? I just paid $41,000 for a new/untitled '21 Arteon SEL 4motion (not Premium). MSRP $45,175 (inc. mats & trunk liner; puddle lights; Bumperdillo plate). Dealer gave me all of the $4,000 purchase cash, plus a little more. Doc fee was $300 with no other add-ons, no "paint protection," or huge "dealer fee." (One dealer I shopped claimed there was no Dealer Cash-- which was a lie). I thought about waiting for the 2022 (with more hp), but it seems VW is dragging its feet on release date because many shared parts of this car are being divered to Audi models that are better-selling.

I don't know if this is the right forum but I didn't find another one for incentives or customer/dealer cash available for purchasing an Arteon (SEL-Premium R-line in 90278 zip code). I would normally look to lease but these low residuals make leasing almost out of the question, so I thought I would explore a purchase option. I am willing to wait for the 2022 model with the 300-hp engine and dual clutch 7-speed but I don't think 2022 models have arrived yet, so I'll just use 2021 numbers as a guide for now.

We don't have access to previous programs to look at it.

But, if there were a $4000 incentive on the 2021, and now it's gone, it's likely that amount was paid out to the dealers who still have units in stock (maybe last month)
