    Curious on a deal I just put a deposit down on for a Hyundai Palisade XRT (AWD). Car arrives in a few weeks.

    MSRP: $45,075
    Selling Price: $43,500
    Lease Equity: $1,500 (coming out of a 2020 Palisade lease next month, so they offered "lease equity", which I'm not sure I totally understand this as I've always just returned leased cars and moved on)
    Term: 36 months, 10,000 miles/year
    Tax Rate: 8.625% (NY, Long Island)
    Zero down and rolled everything into the monthly payments except all nominal dealer/DMV fees (~$400)
    Due at Signing: first month + nominal dealer/DMV fees
    Monthly Payment: $659

    Thoughts?

    Lease equity: Your car is worth more than the residual. Instead of turning it in to the bank, they are buying it from you, and crediting you with the difference.

    Didn't shop around much, but this was the final deal offered after an initial $699/month. Still not satisfied with the deal and wondering what I can do. Car is to be delivered within next 6-8 weeks.

    I am being quoted a money factor for a 2023 Palisade SEL premium FWD at .00368. The sales manager keeps stating it is fixed and not negotiable. I see you quoting here on this site .00263 which appears to be at or near market interest rates. Is the sales manager holding out on me? It would appear that he is using it as a final tool in the negotiation process to make some money for the dealership. Please advise.

    Do you have top tier credit?

    Do you know what bank the dealer is using? Our numbers come from Hyundai Motor Finance.

    Shop other dealers.
