If you're negotiating and they don't want to drop the markup, a $1000 discount will achieve the same purpose. F&I would rather cut into the salesperson commission, rather than give up their spread.

Waiting for the dealer to confirm arrival date as the vehicle is in-transit & I’m trying to figure out cost to lease & buyout immediately. Since I am in Florida & the buyout has to be done through a dealer & not directly through HMFA, I am assuming extra dealer fees are going to eat into the $7,500…Also worried the buyout is through a dealer that it is then considered a used vehicle & that has warranty implications.

The residual is fixed by the bank, and cannot be adjusted.

The MF is for top tier credit; the dealer can mark it up, but it cannot be negotiated lower.
