For buyout option, what is the typical method--cashiers check? Something else? I am on lease extension right now so it renews on a monthly basis for 6 months. The next payment is due 10/16 so I'm trying to figure out if it makes sense and if I have time to get things done this month or if I'll need to wait for next month at this point. Or if they give a grace period with payment for a few days.

Is the new car you want in stock? You'll want to time the sale of the old car to align with when the new car is at the dealer.

I'm sure the dealer and the bank can tell you how to buy it out.

Dealership got to the MF and residual you stated above on an MSRP of 29.9k for 36/12. They added a line item called “total add cap cost” of $1274 and said this was the interest on the lease. What would this line item actually be?

Can you post a screen shot of the dealer lease worksheet, that shows this information?

My guess is that represents the total amount of interest (or rent charge) paid over the lease term.

It's Kona EV SE. 12k miles a year 36 months. Not sure msrp but I'll ask. With those numbers , can you know if it's a good deal or not ?
