    Question: When I look at lease deals on various dealer websites they are showing a large cap cost reduction due at signing. I'm assuming they are basing the base lease rate on MSRP and including the $7500 lease cash as this cap cost reduction?

    Maybe, but not always. The $7500 is certainly used as a cap cost reduction, but there may be more required from you to achieve the advertised payment.

    Well, in this case the Cap Cost Reduction if $7,700, so I'm assuming it is inclusive of the Lease Cash, with the base lease rate (Gross Cap Cost) being the MSRP. I will check with dealer though. Thanks.

    Also - if the MF was increased in response to the $7,500 lease cash/tax rebate, in general how does leasing an Ioniq5 compare financially with purchasing?

    If you finance, there is a $5000 incentive if you take the higher APR (6.35% for 72 months), else you can get 1.99% APR for the same term without the incentive.

    You'll have to run the numbers to see which makes the most sense, but if you plan to keep the car after the lease term, it's probably better to buy it from the start.
