    The base MF (which we quote) is set by HMF.

    The dealer is allowed to mark it up .00040 for extra profit.

    I have a quote for ~$9000 one-pay for a 2024 Ioniq 5 RWD Limited, thanks to an aged inventory rebate. The MF is .00136 or 3.28% APR on a 24/12. The base rate MF is .00189 and the one-pay base rate should be .00099. How do I negotiate this down? Thanks!

    If they were discounting $2000 off MSRP, would you try to negotiable the MF, or elsewhere in the deal?

    I don't know the market, so I'm no help with pricing. Shop multiple dealers to see which one gives you everything you want.

    Given how slowly EVs have been moving, I'd push for the base MF.
