I think they are marking up the MF is that correct? payment seems high with that much money down.

In MD, you pay sales tax on the entire selling price.

Is the delta on your trade value the entire up front cost to you? $13K? Again, not all of that is down payment - taxes, fees, etc. consume a lot of it.

I was looking at a 2025 Ford Explorer Platinum, 48 months, 12K miles per year... i am being told that RV is 52% and APR is 7.95. I thought this was crazy based on what I am seeing on this forum thread. Thank you guys in advance!

Either they are giving you the rate for a lower credit tier, or they are massively marking it up for extra profit.

The RV cannot be changed; that's set by the bank.

Thank you Mitchell! I assumed the APR was way off. I do have 800+ credit, so it's probably just massive mark-up. I have never leased before, so trying to learn everything lol. If i were to purchase the car at a different zip code, like 10541, would that make any difference? Does the bank set the RV by zip code, or is it just based on model/make, etc? What is the money factor on this offer?

How much room for negotiation do I have?

48/15: 5.95% APR and 52% residual

For 36 months, using your prices (and $0 down), I get $764/mo plus tax.

What we need to know is - how much of the $5K up front is going to cap cost reduction, and how much is paying for the first payment, inception fees, etc.?

You can't ride out the F-150 lease and save the money? That $2K is adding roughly $60/mo to any lease payment.
