Didn't one's location/city/town show up down in the area where the current cars list is? I noticed a month or two ago that it's gone now. Was I dreaming? If not, why the change?

My grandson (you guys remember him - pitched for Cal State San Bernardino- 95 mph fast ball) has been working as a strength/mechanics trainer for a sports business enterprise that works with boys/men to improve their pitching performance / speed as well as control and accuracy. He got his Bachelors Degree in kinesiology with a minor in physical education.
He works with middle schoolers, high schoolers, college level and professional baseball players on weight training, pitching control, accuracy and form. He really enjoys his work as he teaches them how to consistently improve their strength, delivery and their pitching motion. I don’t know the cost for each enrollee, but I would imagine it is pretty steep.
He is still in California - he is in a serious relationship with a young girl - so much so that i have offered to fly them both here to South Florida so I can meet the love of his life - will also rent them a car (no way is my 24 year old grandson going to take my Genesis G90 supercharger on joy rides with his girlfriend).
I have the master bedroom empty - I don’t use it - it has a smart TV on the wall and a computer. They will have their privacy. Can’t wait to see them.
That's very cool, Mike, that your grandson was able to start a career in something that is so close to the sport he loves. I hope you have an excellent visit with them when the time comes!

There was a space for that at the top (near the status box, like "Member"). It is definitely missing now (though I have no idea how recently that happened!).

Yes, thanks. He wanted to play in the majors, but when he hurt his arm and that Tommy John surgery, it put an end to those dreams. But now he can still be directly involved with kids as well as major league pitchers who enroll in their program in the winter months or after sustaining an injury and are working to get back in the bullpen.

I noticed that was gone quite a few months ago. Why that was eliminated is anyone's guess. I liked to know where people were from. You didn't have to fill it in, but most did so it must have been liked.

Well at least it doesn't look like I was dreaming it. I liked it; sorry it's gone.

Just found out I have two tears in right abductor muscles and bone on bone hip action going on. Paid meds are not the long term answers. So, looks like repair the muscles and replace the hip. They just scheduled for beginning of May.
Surgeon said doing both at the same time is possible. Told him to let's do that and get it over with. The downside, recovery will be longer. Hopeful to get it done and be back to "normal" mid-July!

So sorry to hear about your need for hip replacement along with some muscle repair. I know many friends and acquaintances who have gone through that procedure and every one of them recovered quickly with therapy and rehab.
Main issue is locating a good rehab with excellent physical and occupational trainers. I would suggest that while you have the time, visit several in your area (within 20 miles of your home). Check with your insurance company if the one you selected is covered by your plan. Investing some time with detective work now will reap great benefits when you are discharged from hospital.
Yeah, and that info used to be displayed each time you posted, but not anymore.
If so, that's been a long, long time ago. Definitely not anytime in the last five years, as far as being public to other members.
Not really. It's been only in the last year that it disappeared. Mine used to say Central PA. (or something like that). I figured it was just another glitch, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Could be worse. I have a totally non-functional left knee that is incredibly painful and dangerous (loss of stability/balance, so risk of falling) and cannot get around much of the time. Meds are very limited b/c of my cardiac situation, as are surgical knee replacement options. The orthos are split as to whether they can do it or not. Life is very limited right now.

Everyone says that a hip replacement is easier recovery than a knee replacement, which seems counter-intuitive, but there you go
My Mom had dual knee replacements around 20 years ago. It was a very long recovery. She gets around pretty well, but one of them is starting to cause her some discomfort and may need to be worked on. She is not happy about that

@graphicguy, sorry to hear about your ailments but the upside is that they can be corrected today, not like with your grandparents. So, with some rehab after the surgery, you will be as good as new.
We all wish you the best.

Never owned a car with red leather interior, but have driven one - a mustang GT with the big 5.0 L engine. I liked the white exterior with the contrasting red interior.
In 1956, my Dad bought a white Buick Roadmaster Convertible with red leather and red interior dash, side panels and soft convertible top. It was exquisite. It had the Fireball V8 engine with Dynaflow. It was a monster of a car. I loved sitting in the back seat playing with the power windows which were a rarity back then.
When we were driving, we used to get the looks of all the drivers on the road. What a car.
Appreciate everyone’s advice. Amazing to me what they can do medically today vs only 10 years ago!
Mostly irritated that this Spring and most of the Summer is going to be spent with limited mobility. That, and that I won’t be allowed to drive for a couple of weeks.
Working out plans to have an “overseer” given my son works and won’t be able to be with me 24/7 for the first several days after surgery!
May need to go to a rehab facility….something I DON’T WANT TO DO!

I don’t question your obvious distaste for rehab facilities. I have the same dislike for them. I spent 3-1/2 weeks in one last June/July after my open heart surgery for a double bypass operation and another 2-1/2 weeks last September/October in another one when I fell on my oxygen generator one night and ended up in the hospital due to my inability to stand because of a severe spinal injury. I’ve had enough experiences with rehab facilities and paramedics and ambulances last year to last a lifetime!
The nursing and aide help is so bad in every rehab I have been in. The doctors they assign you to rarely see you - you are seen by nurse practitioners and physicians assistants. The food is disgusting which is why you lose lots of weight while inside a rehab - you can’t eat that garbage.
The last rehab I was forced into served only Kosher food! If you’ve ever had 3-4 weeks of Kosher food, you don’t become Jewish - you become angry and ornery and beg for your friends and visitors to bring you pizza, Chinese food, Chick-Fil-A, McDonalds - anything! Remember, the kitchen in a Kosher facility is closed from Friday at sundown until Sunday morning. Ever eat a Kosher piece of meat? You need toothpicks for hours after eating to remove the tough grizzle from between your teeth - because Kosher beef is not aged - it’s fresh killed and immediately cooked - UGH!
That’s why I strongly urge you to visit facilities while you’re ambulatory to check them out and research them. There are some good ones out there - I just haven’t found one yet!🤪😜
graphicguy, An old friend had both hips replaced several years apart, the earlier one more than ten years ago with surgery at the rear. The more recent one had surgery from the front with less cutting of muscle. After the last one on a Friday he was back to work the next Tuesday. Of course he works in an office and does not climb utility poles.
@graphicguy - based on the above, I guess, shop around for rehab facilities, and read reviews. Friend of the family who lives alone had knee replacement a few years ago. She loved the rehab place she went to, and felt like she was really doted on and pampered by the staff.

Sometimes they count locations as two. So if there is a woofer/tweeter combo in the doors they count it as two.
I’ve seen some manufacturers list it as “12 speakers in 6 locations”
