Juice, the new Odyssey has the locking belts in the front passenger seat. Real pain to live with. Every time you stretch forward, they lock you in. And Honda belts are a bit short to begin with, so it happens often.

Lots of info here, plus the archive....
Sorry... it's early, not enough coffee... I couldn't resist!
Cheers!

we're all going to hell.
Nice list, though.
Patti: 13mpg? Too fun. Though that's why I'd never buy a fleet car used!
Leo: congrats and welcome to the Crew. The best place to ask that question is in Subaru Crew - Modifications, because we focus on that specifically on that topic. I'm sure you'll feel right at home.
Steve: I don't know why they'd put ALRs on the front seats of a 7 seater van! What a pain.
Lent? I gave up twin turbos. So, went lent ends, tell FHI it's OK to send them over to the US. ;-)

Well guys heard on the news the official snowfall for this week was 55 centimetres. and using Serge,s calculation that translates to almost 22 inchs.
Cheers Pat.
Could use another 700 points to make 2000. :-p
Patti-
what's the new program in its place come 31Jul02?
-Dave
Sorry!

I am just back from a few days interstate where I got to look closely at the new Holden Monaro which a colleague has just bought. I gather that Bob Lutz wants to take it into the US as a Pontiac. If you are lucky enough to see it, you will all be smiling. It's an extraordinarily beautiful car with a tuned V8 and 6 speed manual.
Back in a couple of weeks to drive it up through the Blue Mountains. Looks like a fun trip.
Now the bizarre bit. My colleague has two infants in baby seats. When we had kids, we traded our Golf GTi as it only had two doors and fitting baby seats was a pain. Practicality rules these days (or at least that's how I rationalize the Outback). Is he daft?
Cheers

Have a good trip if I don't speak to you before then, Dennis.
Ed
How's the puppy? Can you even get him outside much?
Graham: the Monaro is a 2 door coupe, right? I can see how that would be, uh, time consuming. Of course he'll make up the time en route.

Not anymore. Let's hope something good will come up soon, as Patti promised.
Time to hit that firniture store, to get all the remaining points available (until July 2002)?
Of course only pay what you'll can afford when the bill arrives, to avoid the high interest charges.
-juice
juice- had that idea when purchasing my '98 OB but the dealer would only allow upto $2k.
I would have bought the car with the credit card if they let me, and then pay it off when the bill arrive (I bought my OB cash).
-Dave
I pay cash too. Could have applied the $19,200, but guess what? I would have lost my shirt in the stocks I was considering. Whew.

Still a little cranked up about the MBNA program termination. I hope Patti's statement "I think all will be well for current MBNA program members and members of the new program" holds true.

We just take him out in the back for now as we cannot take him out until all his shots are complete.
We are having a lot of fun with him he is a real loving little dog and very laid back, with a quiet
disposition.
Cheers Pat.

Chat starts any minute now...

When Ford killed the program, Citibank created something called 'Drivers Edge' which paid 2% usable towards any car. By '02 we had 'banked' $550 which I used towards the Outback, then another few $$ towards the Odyssey we got in January. We also use a Discover card for when we top out on the Citibank rebates (annual limits). Last year we got a check for $200....
So now the delema: As we have no plans for another new car for a few years, I was going to get the MBNA for accessories, service, etc. I guess I will wait and see what the new program brings??
Steve
Don't worry, be happy! Don't let it be a dilema for you.

Great chat, folks. We had the usual suspects and towards the middle it was really hard to keep up, you really had to speed read.

- 10% of purchases AND balance transfers are remitted in Subaru coupons
- no annual cap on the amounts remitted in coupons
- no limit on the amount that can be applied towards my next new Subaru purchase
- numerous miscellaneous perks
aah... One can dream, right? Patti, anything like that on the horizon?
add to your list "discount on your next Subaru, in addition to the points earned, when using the card to purchase a new Subaru".

Happy Holidays y'all!!!

Great pics though -- although it looks almost too amazing to be true.

Pretty amazing that no one was killed!

As to how... just uncontrollable net surfing; and I have over time bookmarked several hundred sites that I refer back to, perhaps a dozen or so daily, others very rarely. The subaru.net site I last visited perhaps six months ago.
