The OB is a lot of fun on the auto-x, and it feels real nice to be in an AT!

You need to work on that tan, though! ;-p

Guys/Gals-
Whoo-hoo!!! indeed
Double whoo-hoo with the Outback rolling on Toyo RA1s (wrapped around WRX rims.) Disappointed that I'd hit a cone on my last run, which would had placed me third right behind mike.

LOL on the "Outback" tan!!
Ken
Actually, we're outdoorsy so maybe you should show the "after the tan" shot. ;-)

Greg: My condolences to you and the family....
Steve
My condolences also. Earlier this year, I had to help my wife with the sudden loss of her father. I know how difficult it can be.

What is she replacing it with?

The H6 Outback sedans start at about $25k, but you probably won't find a used one for much less than that because they're newer models.
You can get L sedans cheap, they start at just $16,876 at fitzmall.com. $19,665 for a 2003 L/SE automatic, and that has 16"s and the moonroof!
Chat reminder - see you folks tonight?

what's the price range she's looking at?

BTW, you get the 5/60 B2B warranty, but not the 10/100, so that's why she'd look at an extended one.
Subies don't depreciate much, so you may as well buy new. In this area, even my '98 Forester is still worth $11-12 grand, while you could get a Sonata 2-3 year newer for that much.

Steve, good luck with the adoption.
Ken, RPN rocks! Which HP division makes the calculators now? Cut my programming teeth writing SPL on an HP 3000 running MPE. Ah, the dark ages of the command line, pre-Windoze .. Wait, I miss my command line.
Loosh, Maybe Subaru should introduce a new color -- Beaune White Pearl. (ugh, that was bad)
I'm back from the Outer Banks. Picked up some tar on the inside of the GT rims.. clay to the rescue!

RPN is the way calculators were meant to be. I actually have trouble using a 'standard' calculator -- what's with the equal sign anyway?
I'm not sure which HP division makes the calculators, though. Agilent spun off of HP two years ago and since then we've been completely separate companies. I don't know what's going on in Carly-land.
Ken
Steve, good luck with the adoption. We've been wrestling with this issue for quite a while ourselves. It can be very emotional at times. My sister-in-law has adopted twice (stateside), and has a wonderful family. Well worth the "rollercoaster".
Paul
But yeah, she'd have to look at a '98 most likely, to be in her price range.
Mike: (note the capital "M", for Mike Smith) since you waxed the rims, the tar should come off without too much work. See, it was worth it!

But I didn't have to use punch cards, so you probably think I had it easy! LOL

Ron
It's funny to watch someone who has never used RPN try to do anything with it though.

I am still mourning the demise of my HP 41CV. The screen cracked and HP do not carry parts. I can't believe it - it was only 20 years old - what's the world coming to?
Its's a pity because I haven't found anything else which is as practical. I was using an HP 12 yesterday but even that is not much use. Too finance specific for my liking. Might have to look at a TI version
Cheers

Yeah, it's pretty funny watching someone try RPN for the first time.
Heard this from a 20 year veteran, but when HP began integrating more of the components on their calculators, they found that the units were becoming too "light". They apparently added weights into some models so that they would retain their original "feel".
Found this link for those who wanted to read up on every HP calculator made:
