Congrats to all!

Ironically I've not received that issue but did receive an "introductory issue" as a "new" owner after buying the XT. It basically had the same innards as the "introducing the new Legacy/Outback" issue with some different, welcoming front and end pieces.
I sent Drive both the photo used and a front 3/4 view in which you can see Paul's face as well as a better view of the car (those are in my Imagestation account). I guess for the sake of anonymity it was best of them to use the one they did. I should've been more thoughtful about that.
Ed
Could be, but they might also have thought that this was the more "visually interesting" photo.

Welcome to the flood of new member that will be joining us over the next two weeks or so. :-)
Yes, gotta get back to work, I'm moving offices. Good news is I will now have a window with a partial view to the White House!
Ed's letter went in there, too.
Good things come in 3s!

Actually - they were keeping the focus of the article away from me from what I heard, but more on Edmunds as a resource. I happen to think it's one of the best for our customers.

P. S. - did Lucien name her Davetta?
Loosh's daughter's name is Elie Ann:

Time for an e-mail...
Cheers?

Move [non-permissible content removed] (Sienfeld reference), is more like it, getting people motivated to pack!
At least I get a window when all is said and done. :-)
Any how, later today I head to the beach to paint the condo, anyone want to come help?
<crickets chirping>
Hello?
I'll miss the chat but maybe catch up on Saturday.

1. It's like an an Accord with an attitude.
2. I'm really proud of my home state workers--build quality is so fine.
3. Homer would say, "MMMMM, Comfort!"
4. Silver is so slick looking and its the color to have with this model and all the metallic trim inside.
5. Too early for an ice or snow storm--I really want to try out the wiper and mirror heaters.
Boxer growl on this car is just as cool sounding as the turbo whine on WRX.
6. New mileage report, city only, coming soon.

juice, I would help ... but only if you are willing to come up to the NH lakes region, in the peak foliage season, and help paint windows on a ski chalet, conveniently located 5 minutes from a ski area!

Change the timing to "ski season" and I am there!!!

A few things that caught my attention:
- The GT was rated very well. In fact, CR felt it handled the best and had the best ride of the group. The two items that CR penalized the GT on were fuel economy and the tendency for lift-throttle oversteer. The later would be a detriment for only your typical FWD driver.
- CR complained the S40 had cramped rear seats. That was in-line with my observation and contradicts C&D's finding. Is the Euro-spec S40 rear seats bigger?
- CR commented that the GT offered a very good driving experience comprable to a $40K 330i!
Ken
Time will tell. Look for one of us (!) at the chat tonight!
Cheers!

My daughter is working on a paper on the home PC so I can't use this. Sorry folks!
FYI - I'm almost done the labels for the prizes. You should have them next week.
See you on the boards!
Patti

Well, I probably won't be able to make it either so I'll see everyone on the boards too.
Ken
P.S I can finally take down the rest of the hurricane shutters...yay! Maybe we can use them as voting machines here...as good as anything else....... ;>)
I must have missed it too.

PS..how is your daughter doing?
we go for several weeks when things are good then she gets a reality check as to her limitations and that sends her into a tailspin again. It is an emotional rollercoaster all around. We are going down to see her at Christmas and hopefully she will be a bit more positive by then.
She is checking some options at the minute so she is trying her best with what she has.
Cheers Pat.

Today has been the Bathurst 1000 here. It is always an exciting race and has the best in car coverage of any motor race ever.
As usual, it had its special interest. This year, a kangaroo leapt onto the track, colliding with the Jim Richards car that had been on pole position. They patched the car up but it was not well.
Worth looking for it on your sports pages.
Cheers

Results of the 4 piston calipers so far...
Weight: 6lbs each v. 11lbs each for Subaru 4-pot Calipers
Size: Smaller pistons than the Subaru 4-pots, only slightly smaller, however they allow for OEM WRX 16" wheels to clear them w/o spacers.
Performance: As good or better than the 4-piston Subaru Calipers I've been running for 15K miles.
Looks: Bling Aluminum and shiny
Pricing: Looking to be retail in the $500 range w/o pads (It uses the same pads as the OEM Subaru 4-pot calipers)
More info as events warrant! Should be a nice upgrade for Forester/Legacy/WRX/RS etc.

I forgot to offer beer, silly me!
The rough part was the "popcorn" texture on the ceilings, yikes.
Managed about 28 mpg on the trip, still can't match my wife's mileage and the Forester was nearly empty!
Patti: if you have a router set up, you may only need to release and renew your IP address.
If you connect directly to the DSL modem, just run the Self Install CD again.
