I hope it's not a preamble to something bigger, like volcano eruption etc.
Cheers Pat.
who knows ....
And if I leave the Subaru side and go to the Honda pages, I have to log in again. This is getting old....
I'll also be picking your brains for dicsussion suggestions for the Subaru vehicle groups as we reorganize the forums. Your input and assistance is greatly appreciated!
The Subaru Crew Chat is on tonight. The chat room opens at 8:45PM ET Hope to see YOU there! Check out the schedule
-Brian
What if the the Subaru Chat Graphic pulsated or something, or a verbal "You've got mail" type of voice announced this when you log on?
I agree, having ModBob post this same message repeated in so many threads is not the best way of doing things.
Bob
Besides, we're up against a baseball playoff game 7 tonight!
I hear when Detroit wins it's always a great year for cars, otherwise I don't really care for one team over the other.

That night at dinner, I was talking with the producer for our video and it turns out that he produced the series of Subaru commercials from a few years ago. Apparently, he contributed to the "from the wheels that slip to the wheels that grip" series.
He had a few cool stories to tell, not so much about the cars themselves, but the people involved with the commercials. Apparently, he did an internal video for SOA where he got the president of FHI, impromptu, to drive one of their cars.
You never know who you meet on the road!

Sounds like fun. Did you do a little sneak appearance in the shoot, along the lines of what Stephen King, Mel Brooks & M. Night Shamelot (sp?) sometimes do in their films???
Steve
Nobody did it as well as Alfred Hitchcock!

total .. including the next one ...

So I'm driving home yesterday, and the vehicle behind me honks, and wouldn't you know it, it's that Forester I was curious about.
The funny part? It's MY BOSS!
Didn't even know until now. She's had it for about a year, 2006 model, and loves it so far. Yet another Subaru owner that could probably afford a luxury brand, but simply chooses not to because a Subaru is more than good enough.
And she told me she bought it the same day another collegue (one of the guys I always dress up for Halloween with) was at the same dealer (Stohlman Subaru in VA) buying an Outback Sport for his daughter.
Small world, real small! :shades:

No signs of snow yet, and I'll be in Brazil from Dec 20 or so until early January. But I want to mount them to try them out, and so that I'm not stuck in the middle of a storm witout 'em.
-juice
I usually put the snows on our cars around mid-December and remove them mid-late March. That has always seemed a good estimate here in NJ (notwithstanding the occasional early or late season storm). You might want to put yours on before you go away, so they're ready when you get back in January. Of course, now that you have them, you probably won't get any snow!
Len
Yeah, I'll slap them on the weekend of the 9th, perhaps.
The last weekend is always hectic, packing and last minute purchases.

I'm dressed as a pirate today, and a few friends took pics so I'll try to get a copy of them and post 'em up.
Please drive your Subies slowly and watch out for little trick-or-treaters. The roads will be full of pedestrians tonight.
AAAARRRR! :shades:

Anyway, they never go out of fashion, and you did look very natural as a pirate :P
But my personal favorite juice haloween dress was French Movie Director a few years back.
Still waiting for the pics.
I was a "software pirate" as a twist this year. We had a speaker with a PhD that talked about information security and I was there to sort of antagonize her and draw more attendance. Worked like a charm, it was standing room only.

My buddy (a lawyer) was the Wizard of Laws (sounds like Oz, get it?).

It's getting harder, everyone is so politically correct that I don't want to offend anyone.
I thought about going as a blind ref (get it?), seeing eye dog and all, but that might offend handicapped folks or their family.
We've done the Arab oil Shiek thing and that might offend clients from that region (and my wife would kill me).
I've done the college grad, the escaped convict, hockey player, Julius Ceasar, it's tough to be original every year. Got any ideas for next year?

First chipmunks (who have fortunately not chewed any new wiring I replaced on both Subies), now this.
I have a bunch of lady bugs in my bedroom, not sure where they are coming from. Not 2 or 3, mind you, I caught 20 the other day.
While beautiful and seemingly harmless, how can I control them? The windows are sealed and they still seem to get in. Are they attracted to something specific.
Hadji just looks at them and purrs. I mean he barks.

Cheers Pat.
* playing dead
* a stinky yellow discharge
I didn't know they could sting...you sure?

We see these on the outside of the house (along with some box elders) in September/October just around the first frost. Sometimes a few sneak into the house and then are attracted to light. Don't squish 'em on a surface, especially a wall in case of staining.
