We just bought a Limited (MSRP - $44928) for $40,400 in Houston. Great experience. Fort Bend Toyota - Email me for salesman info. He had several XLE's with Nav.

Just recently bought a 2011 Sienna LE FWD, V6 8-passenger. Also has back-up cam, bluetooth set-up in the steering wheel, and XM Satellite Radio.

    MSRP: $29,725
    Leather Heated Seats: $1,999
    Carpet Mats/Fixed Console: $399
    Window Tint: $299
    Toyoguard Plus: $699
    (Total Options): $3396
    Sticker Price: $33,121

Paid $28,500 plus tax, title, and processing fee.

The dealership where I bought also adds a lifetime (unlimited time or miles) warranty on the standard Toyota 3 year/36,000 mile powertrain warranty that is good at any Toyotal dealership across the country.

Felt like I got a pretty good deal, based on the Truecar "Best Price Paid" for just the LE without all the options for $27.5K, especially with the dealer cost for the standard LE being $28,172 (again according to Truecar.com).
  • irie101irie101 Member Posts: 3
I see advertising for 2.9% for the LE model. Can anyone tell me what financing you got and for how long. Also, is the Toyota the best place to get new car financing? I am looking at a XLE with good credit, just not sure where to get financing.
  • erwin007erwin007 Member Posts: 3
I went through Toyota for the LE I bought a few days ago. The current special for the LE is 0% (36 months), 1.9% (48 months), and 2.9% (60 months), with no payments due for 90 days. Not sure if the same deal applies for other trimlines. I think they told me you had to have over a 660 credit score to qualify. I personally did the 2.9% for 60 months. There is no prepayment penalty, so it's easy to pay off early if you have the extra cash.
  • sebring95sebring95 Member Posts: 3,241
Be sure to check around though. I normally do not finance but was interested in the 2.9% Toyota was offereing. The dealership offered up a private bank with 2.65% for 60 months and no prepayment penalty. Toyota's special rate is better for those with lower credit scores, but you can do better if you have a higher score.
  • bobby85225bobby85225 Member Posts: 6
I think yours is good deal.
Here is the deal I got:

2011 LE 8 Passenger, Bluetooth and Backup Camera.

$27440 + TTL. My price was 30,900 OTD.

Unlike yours, I don't have leather and Sirius XM.
  • erwin007erwin007 Member Posts: 3
@sebring 95: Not necessarily true. That depends on your area. I have excellent credit and even with shopping around that's the best rate I could find, in my area. Your mileage may vary. Throwing around blanket statements about anonymous people's credit ratings is inappropriate.

You don't have to take offense at things that weren't personal attacks.

And he is right, you can do better than that. PenFed current has 2.5% for 60 months. If you are military or have family in the military, it's free to join. Anybody else can still join, but you just need to make a one time donation of $20 to the National Military Family Association, or $15 to Voices for America’s Troops. That's how I did years ago, and it was well worth the money. They always have great rates. They have a credit card that pays 5% on gas purchases (that alone paid for my membership fee in 2 months).

I used PenFed to finance my Sienna and it was easy. Fill out the application online, and when approved they mail you out a check that is good up to the amount you requested. I walked into the dealership with the check, we filled out the total financed amount and VIN number on the check, and it was as easy as that. No fooling with the dealership running your credit, pulling tricks on you with the interest rates, etc

Edit: I also forgot...if you financed elsewhere, you can refi with penfed for the 2.5% rate. If you do this, I think they also have some promo where they pay you $100 (runs through April 30).
  • sebring95sebring95 Member Posts: 3,241
Wasn't meant to be personal....but the fact that you can qualify for the Toyota financing down to a 660 (that's Tier III) means that there certainly could be better options out there. 2.9% isn't the greatest incentive offered by a captive...Many have 0%-.9% right now.

Wondering what a good price is for a 2011 Sienna XLE with Leather, Nav and Entertainment System. I've only received two quotes from dealers so far with the average being a sticker of $39,417 and a sale price of $35,612 +TTL for a total of $3742 off of Msrp. I am receiving more quotes in the next few days but I was wondering how this offer stacks up against what everyone has heard. I should mention that I will be purchasing this vehicle thru a dealer in the Chicago area.
  • tentativetentative Member Posts: 3
I went the naive route of americanexpress . zag . com, which said this is a good deal, but wanted reassurance from yall.

2011 Sienna XLE + floor mats (dealer insisted had to include that when getting AMEX quote, so $200 extra, meh)

    AMEX quote: $30,803
    Processing Fee: $395
    VA Tax: $936
Dealer business license tax: $62 (boo)
Online system filing fee: $10 (lol)
    Registration fee: $12
    Total OTD: $32,218

Wife and I just sold our 09 Forester for $19k, and need the replacement vehicle asap, so as long as this deal isn't bad, we'll probably run with it. Thoughts? (Don't worry, I've been around the internet since the 90's, so I won't take offense to anyone's opinion!)

    Thanks,
    Joe G.

    Hi,

The SETF page has a special 39 month lease advertised for the LE Sienna we tried our local dealer and they upped the downpayment to over 4K to hit that monthly payment.

Has anyone been able to get the price advertised on the SETF page?

We were able last year to hit the 199 nohting down payment on the corolla.

    Thanks in advance,
    Ray

I'm not sure if that's a good price or not, but if you got that price through zag, I don't think they are allowed to tack on that $62 and $10 fee. They are supposed to charge nothing except the quoted zag price, a doc fee (which I assume is what they listed as the processing fee), sales tax, title fee, and registration fee.

That said, in VA, there doesn't appear to be a limit imposed on the maximum doc fee, so they could just roll it all together if they wanted to.
  • wtlwtl Member Posts: 11
I have been bargining with TX area dealers for the pass few weeks trying to get them to come down to the price without success. The lowest I got was $31k+ttl and standard 2.9% as ad. Any one have better luck? It seems to me that the southwest region has the highest price around.
  • tentativetentative Member Posts: 3
Okay, we went ahead with the deal after another last-second round of haggling. We live in Richmond, VA, and dealt with all the surrounding dealerships within ~100 miles.

McGeorge gave us a $32,218 OTD price. We took that to everyone else. Fredericksburg and Stafford could neither beat nor match it (although Fredericksburg offered free manicure Wednesdays for life, lol). Haley were the nicest dealers, and we would've bought from them, but they could only get it down to $32,153 OTD. Mechanicsville gave us an OTD of $32k flat. We took that back to McGeorge, and they grudgingly said they would match it, so we went with them, since they are closest to us.

Once we saw the vehicle today when we were just about to start signing everything, I noticed that it wasn't the original Sienna. We had agreed on a Cypress Pearl / Bisque interior, base XLE with floor mats, but I immediately noticed that 1) there were crossbars on the roofrack, and 2) the stock number was different. Turns out they sold the original Sienna, but were willing to give us this one instead for the same price. Turned out to work in our favor, as it meant throwing in the roofrack crossbars for free (~$300 value I think?). The vehicle had 3 miles on it, so I'm fairly sure they didn't do a bait-n-switch in any way that harmed us.

    So:
    McGeorge Toyota
    Richmond, VA
    XLE
Floor Mats, Cross-bars on roof rack
    $32,000 OTD (VA tax = 3%, dealer fees = $395 + 62)

Thanks for the opinions, we really appreciated them!

    Joe G.

I have read through the boards and think it is reasonable to get a 2011 XLE with Nav and E-Pkg for around 35. States in Midwest were offering 1.9 and 2.9 % financing however they don't seem to want to come down on price if you are using that. Most quote 37,XXX.XX I think waiting is the best option for me. The first one that says 35,000.00 or less and has 1.9 or less on 60 mo gets a customer in about 1 hour from me. 100 dollars over that and I am out. I am one stubborn ___ that way. FYI I am talking no trade in + TTL and would not want to pay much for processing fee. oh and plus roof rack..
  • loucapriloucapri Member Posts: 214
The highest price around is in the NW,
One thing you can try is NOT to include roof rack cross bars, mate and cargo net. Just ask for a BASED XLE. Often time, those items are there already (an dealer will sell the car with it all together). BUT if you keep telling the dealer you want those options, then they have a reason to add those to the price.

  • tmadel1tmadel1 Member Posts: 2
Wow - really an XLE with premium package with $35K? Invoice is over $39K. How can you get it for $4000 under invoice.........

    Hi All,

Can someone tell me how much I should pay for the SE with preferred Pkg? I live on Long Island, NY and willing to travel up to 150 miles away to get a good deal.

So far, the best deal I can get is $32,800. Also, can someone recommend a good dealer in NY/CT/NJ/PA area.

Also, it seems like there is no incentive from Toyota. Is that true? Should I wait until June? I am not rush tho.

    Thanks so much in advance.

I am getting $37129 to be the lowest for a Sienna FWD XLE with Premium package. Do you think I can do better than that? The invoice is $36700. I like to get it at or below invoice.
  • leighann4leighann4 Member Posts: 3
I bought SE here in Virginia in Oct. , mine has Preferred Pkge, Towing pkge, moonroof, and floormats with sills, and roof rack crossbars. I managed to get it down to 31,414 (this was base sale price, I didn't give taxes/tags as that varies due to state you are in)
    Do research, used the "truecar price report" (you can put in your zip and see what others are paying in your area), Zag.com, if you are a Costco member...use their auto service to get a quote, look at the dealership Fitzgerald auto mall., etc. My first quotes were anywhere from 1k-1.5k higher til I played dealerships against each other. Use the internet and email. When I showed up at dealership, I had a notebook plus all the info from these sources right in my hand to refer to , not to mention all the emails from the dealership with the price quoted so they didn't switch up on me. {actually after I got there, they had 3 SE's., but had already printed off the sticker with the VIN from each one...they told me to pick the one I wanted. Since I had done all the research on them, I picked the one with the roof rails and they didn't add $$$ to the quoted price}
go back and read the past 10-15 pages of this thread, there are a few others who bought SE's and gave their prices they paid too.
    Love my SE!!! :)

Thanks for the information in this forum. I did my home work on here, through edmunds, truecar.com, and zag.com. Spent about 2 hours and called around the area dealers. The price definitely is higher now after the disaster in Japan, however, don't let it be the excuse used by the dealers.

For reference, I took home a Predawn Mica/Light Grey Sienna Limited with the following packages and accessories. I may not have all of them in the right bucket, but it's an attempt to help other shoppers in comparison.
Premium package (DVD and entertainment system)
accessory package (all floor mats and cargo net, wheel lock)
    Cross bar with roof rack
side molding (apparently this is a ~$200 thing).

$41,700 + tax + license. From what I can gather, this is about 800 over invoice. Happy shopping!

Wanted to know if this is the bottom before I buy.

    MSRP 39834

    sale price 35831

    tint 490 (forced to buy)

    sale price 36321

    8.8 Percent discount with tint.

    What do you think?

    Hi,

I just purchased an XLE 8-Passenger FWD, w/ Premium Package (PM), Carpet Floor Mats/Door Sill Protector (CF), Mudguards (MF), and Roof Rack Cross Bars (3T) for $35,988 + Doc Fees, Title, Tax, etc.

They did try to charge me extra for tinting and other dealer add-ons. I had been quoted this price over the phone when I put my deposit down and specifically had asked that there were no other add-ons so when I got there I was ready to walk if they tried to charge me extra.

    This was in AZ.

    Thanks

    Huh?

Aren't XLEs tinted from the factory?

What exactly did they add on?

And you have to get it? Sheesh.

Tell them you charge a $490 Customer Fee for your time for having to research what on earth they are talking about.

Purchased an XLE 8 passenger with Premium package, carpeted floor mats, and mud guards for $36,500 in Upsate New York. MSRP was $39,834 plus dealer installed mud guards.

Could have done a little better if they didn't have to locate the vehicle.
  • daveb22daveb22 Member Posts: 19
I just purchased the same vehicle in Upsate NY for $36,500 with carpeted floor mats and mudguards.

There was a price increase of $500 or $600 on the Sienna for vehicles manufatured after May 1st. If you can find one manufactured prior to this you should be able to buy for $36,700 or less. If not, I would say that $37,100 is probably not a bad deal without any rebates.
  • daveb22daveb22 Member Posts: 19
I was looking at this same package before I bought one with the premium package.

The best price I received via several internet quotes was $33,190. My target price was $32,800 which to me would have been a pretty good deal given that I would be buying the vehicle below invoice without any rebates of any sort. Hope this helps.
  • rahulbpatelrahulbpatel Member Posts: 4
    Hi,

I purchased the car from Earnhardt Toyota in Mesa, AZ. I went to their website and it had the $35,988 listed as a special. However, I just checked and they've raised the price to $36,588 which is still better than anywhere else I found in the area.

    Best of luck.

    Thanks!

Am new to this website....n am in for a Sienna. Wanted to do some homework before requesting for Internet quotes for NJ.

Guess when you all mention the deal price it always EXCLUDES the Taxes / Levies / Doc Fee etc.

    Only INCLUDES the Destination charge....right??

    Thanks.

    Looking for some information.

I am new to the mini-van market and have researched mini-vans a lot in the last 2 years. After test driving both the Sienna and the Odyssey I was more impressed with the Sienna. Here is my question, I think I'm pretty much settled on the Sienna SE but our area only (Southern California) only sells them with options that I don't want or want to pay for, i.e. Sun/moon roof. I've got one in my accord that I rarely use. Here is the deal I was offered so far:

$32299 (includes destination) +tax license additional
    Sunroof
    SE preferred pkg
    Towing pkg
    Floor mats

Does that seem like a good deal? Can I get a better price if I have one ordered with only the specs I am looking for? Dealership said ordering is possible but can take up to 3 months. I'm ok with the wait. Do dealerships wheel and deal with ordered vehicles? Sorry so many questions, but this is a HUGE purchase for our single income family. Thanks in advance!
  • sebring95sebring95 Member Posts: 3,241
They may say they can special order them...but that's not always true with Toyota. They build them certain ways and that's it, regardless of what they call "options". I've waited months for a specific car before (two Camrys and a GX470) but ultimately gave up and just took one with stuff I didn't want. We just bought a Ltd and while they say DVD/NAV and Conv. pkg were options....NONE are out there without at the very least the Conv. pkg...and you can't seem to get DVD or NAV by themselves...all or nothing.

I was very close to signing a commitment on a new one but found an identical used model with 1,500 miles. Still had the bubble wrap on the headphones and remote control. Saved about $5,000 so we took it and ran. You might shop around for a slightly used one...there seems to be a lot of buyers remourse on these things and I've been surprised how many <5,000 mile units I've seen sitting on lots. There's a used SE (has moonroof) on a lot near me with 5k miles and asking $29,900. I'm sure they could be beat down further.

The price includes destination. Taxes, title, and doc fees are not included. The fees I paid in NY were as follows:

    $75 documentation fee
    $10 inspection
    $12.50 tire disposal fee
$130 dmv fee for registration and transfer of plates.

Try Earnhard Toyota. See my earlier post. I was able to get a XLE w/ Premium for $1K below invoice.
  • mrscoffieldmrscoffield Member Posts: 14
    Thanks for the info.
You are right about the package. We can only get it with all of the options. Don't see any used SEs in our area. So here is the deal, we are thinking of purchasing this weekend as we were offered 1.9% for 60 months. If they'd stretch out the 1.9% for 6 years I think we'd sign papers ASAP!

$32,299 Toyota Sienna SE (Costco Member Offer)
    +tax/license
    includes:
Preferred Package, Moonroof, Towing Package, Mats and Sill Protector

Finding invoice price online of $32,324. Any thoughts anyone?

Is leather an option on the sienna LE?
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
Don't think so, but I bet if you look under Auto-Upholstery in your yellow pages you'll find a place that can add Katskins leather.
  • l9lee1l9lee1 Member Posts: 2
I've been shopping for a sienna LE, v6, fwd and with a few emails got some dealer quotes at $27,988. No options other than the preferred accessory package...essentially cargo nets and floor mats.

Any comments on whether or not this is a good deal?
