Anyone know if MB is offering any cash that can be combined with the subsidized 1.9% finance rate?

Also, any insights to share on recent purchase prices?

    Thanks.

How did you come up with a number so much lower than the asking price?? How did the discussions go?
  • greasykid1greasykid1 Member Posts: 336
Spoke with the sales mgr directly. Explained that I was a serious buyer and READY TO BUY. After a couple of days he came down on price and the clincher was when I asked him to come down the amount of the doc fees and he agreed.

I am looking at a E350 4 matic with a list price of $57,000. The TMZ price with the same options is $50,978. MB is offering $4000 dealer cash. Does the $4k come off the TMZ price?

Hello. I was looking to purchase an E 350 today. The MSRP is approximately $51k and the dealer's willing to take 8500 off. Is this a good deal?

    :)

Depends on your location which you do not list. :confuse:

Sounds good to me, but I don't know MBZ prices. Still for the Bay area, that's good.

Not too bad for down here in the greater L A area either!

Looking at purchasing a 2008 MB E320. MSRP, 58,725, dealer is quoting 11k off MSRP and 1.9 financing for 60 months. Does this seem like a good deal?

Have compared it to the BMW 535xi, Infiniti M35x and Jaguar XF twin turbo. Jag is the only one with 0 incentives right now, since it is so new. Thanks!
  • greasykid1greasykid1 Member Posts: 336
Where are the REALLY good deals on either . What are they? I am in N Carolina.
Your post of $11,000 discount sounds very good. What are others getting?

Have LOADED 2005 E320CDI with 29,000 mi.that I want to trade in.How are the trade-in prices? Are the dealers taking off as much on the trade as they are giving on the new car?
  • snaglepussnaglepus Member Posts: 160
    :)

You want to trade in a CDI with only 29K miles?

What are you considering that is as good as what you have now?

Or do you simply have new car fever? :confuse:

I'm looking at a 2007 E350 with P2 Package, free Sport Package, Trunk Closer/Lift , rear side window blinds, and 21,000 miles. Asking price by the private party is $34,000. I'm in the Carolinas. Dealer prices for certified vehicles with often less options start at 39k.
  • mrwishesmrwishes Member Posts: 2
The car also has Keyless-Go. I thought this was part of the P02 package but I just found a site that says it wasn't.
  • greasykid1greasykid1 Member Posts: 336

I am looking to buy 2008 Sport Package P1, IPOD, Silver with Gray Interior. The invoice price is $51,787 and the TMV is $48,950. But Dealer is only giving me 4k below invoice which comes out to $47,787 but is willing to pay for the delivery of the car from out of state to Texas which is 1k. Is that a good deal? Should I ask the dealer to give me 4k below TMV which comes out to $44,950? I think if the dealer is selling at 48,950 which is the TMV they are still making $ with dealer holdback. Should we be using TMV or Invoice when we negotiate with marketing support? Also is the marketing support for E Class 6k or 4k been to 2 dealers and they said Edmunds made a mistake in stating 6k? Pls advise!
  • lchlouie1lchlouie1 Member Posts: 1
As of 11/8/08, the marketing support for 2008 E 350 is 6K. the dealers in san francisco bay area is offering $12K off the MSRP. Does anyone known of any better deals?
  • phil_in_socalphil_in_socal Member Posts: 28
You should get atleast 18% off msrp, sport package is at no cost at this time. so if that's factored in the price, exclude that first then apply your (minimum) of 18% off the adjusted msrp. plain and simple. :surprise:
  • brand3brand3 Member Posts: 2
do you know if 18% off mspr also applies to 2009 cars?

I'm looking at a '06 E350 4matic with 21K miles and premium package with Navi for $33k (MSRP $35,900). I'm also looking at a '09 c300 sport 4matic which is coming out to a leasing price of about $530/month for the premium 1 package and 12K miles/yr. Does the deal on the E350 look good or should i try to negotiate a good price to finance the '09 C300 sport? Live in NJ.

    Hi diva82,

I would personally have a tough time purchasing a 2006 Mercedes E350 4Matic or any used car unless it was an incredible value. The used car market is quite soft right now. Is the vehicle certified?

I really like the new design of the C-Class. How much money due at signing is required to obtain the $530 per month payment?

    All the best,
    Matt

    Hi Matt,

The E350 is certified. The money due at signing for the C300 is about $4400.

    Thanks

Has anyone evaluated the MB current lease offer on the E350?

    It's $619/mo + tax, 36 months, $795 Acq. fee, $3,750 cap cost reduction; $5,164 due at signing; 10,000 miles/year; Fine print reads based on MSRP of $57,945, $52,073 with CC Reduction; Includes Destination, Metallic Paint & Premium 1 package;

Using these figures, what should a reasonable lease be for this E350? Thanks.

...All post different invoice prices on an E550 4Matic? Edmunds-$61900, Merc.USA-$64075, and kbb-$62775. Which one reflects the most accurate firgure when negotiating?

It is the end of my lease (dec 2008). I have a E350 Sport with 17000 miles on it. My end of purchase price is $41,000, now MB is offering me to buy it fore price to $34,000 and is willing to finance it for 7.89% up to 5 years. I love my car but do you think with this economy, Does it worth it .
The interest is high, and it will be without warranty by Sep. 2010.
What do you think? Any suggestions.

Hi, I need help! I have never purchased a car before so I am feeling anxious about this. This is the quote I have been given for an E350 2009 P1, wood steering wheel, 4matic, metallic paint, non sports package:

MSRP of $58,065 with lease discount with Capitalized Cost of $50,165:
No Money Down For 10,000 miles
39 month payment of $659.61 including Tax
27 month payment of $785.85 including Tax

Is this a good deal or should I wait until next year to buy the 2009? I'm just afraid they may run out of the color I like. I mean the price can't go higher can it?

Thank You For Any Answers in Advance,
    B

I forgot to add the residual values to the above quote:

The Residual Value on the lease at the end of 39 months is $27,871.20.
The Residual Value on the lease at the end of 27 months is $31,935.75.

I have a 2007 E350 lease which expires 3-09. They do offer lease pull ahead but I have not seen anything resembling a good deal on these leases. Any suggestions or hints that the lease prices may get better? I am looking for a 15k /39 month lease.
  • desiguydesiguy Member Posts: 3
    I just leased a E350 4-matic with Premium 1 sport package:
    $549 a mth
    48 mths
0 due at signing (dealer paid 1st mth) - Sign and drive.
    10k miles

They allowed me to look at inventory across 3 dealerships in the area and got me the one I wanted (black on black). Is this a good deal? Could I have negotiated for 12k miles/yr?
  • mmoreno1978mmoreno1978 Member Posts: 106
    Sign and Drive

    $725.00
    39 Months
    15,000 Miles a Year
    MSRP $59,635.00

I still owed $2100 for the next 3 months on my Infinit, so I paid it out of pocket and gave MB the car.

I am already missing my M35X.

    MB really lacks luxury.

    Out of curiosity...
Then why did you get Merc
    Is this buyers remorse?

desiguy, can you provide with the dealer you leased from ?
  • mmoreno1978mmoreno1978 Member Posts: 106
    The AMG package looks fantastic!

The Infiniti was much and is much more refined. But this car is better looking for 2009.

The 12 horses are also making a difference. (280 vs 268)

It was also pricing the best out of all the cars in this class. I looked at the GS, but it was $75 more a month, so the E350 gave me the best bang for the buck.

Very Long Lease. Numbers seem OK.

A local (So. Cal) MB dealer agreed to sell a certified E350 for $30k + TTL. It has 16500mi with P1 & sport packages. It's an off-leased vehicle. With the certified 12mo warranty in addition to the original warranty, it will have 2 yrs & 9 mos warranty left. Is it a good deal?

I am looking to lease 2009 E350 4matic. I can't find the residuals or money factor for Feb. Looking for 12k miles/yr and 36 months. I usually do not put anything down, but these are not usual times in the leasing market. I would pay tax and bank fee upfront if it lowers the money factor. I wanted to like the new Acura TL-Shawd-my wife hates it-you know what that means. She prefers the "classic" styling of the Benz and BMW 5 series.
    Thanks; Charlie

I am in the same boat. Looking to lease '09 E350 4matic. Are there any good deals out there?
  • desiguydesiguy Member Posts: 3
I leased a 09 E350 4matic (Sport, Black on Grey) with Premium 1 package and AMG wheels for $549 a mth, 39 months, sign and drive. Dealer paid 1st mth lease payment. 12k miles per year.
  • AlivetoclimbAlivetoclimb Member Posts: 3
Thank you for info. Did you put any $ down for this deal? If so how much. Sounds like a good deal. I appreciate your input.
  • chea89chea89 Member Posts: 57
Just signed,, 39 months, 12k/yr., $633/month includes NY tax, about 8.6%, $1509 out of pocket includes 1st month payment. No AMG, just package 1, white car. I couldn't duplicate deal other poster said for $549/ month sign and drive. I'm happy.
  • jamby1jamby1 Member Posts: 9
Could you please tell me where you got this deal? Even without the 1st lease payment thrown in, the payment is about $125 less than the best deal I can find in central NJ.
  • desiguydesiguy Member Posts: 3
This was in Cincinnati... in November 2008 .. around thanksgiving (i think they called the "winter event"). My friend went there in January and they are no longer offering the same deal.

Looking at purchase in NJ of E Class 4matic...any info. on what deals have been done? Looking to include leather
  • chea89chea89 Member Posts: 57
Have you compared the leather to MB tex? I have, and I preferred the MB tex. Maybe because I also have it in my 87 300e, and now my 09 E350 4matic.. But before you go for the leather do a side by side comparison. I do love my new car.

What is the deal with wagons ? I see 6,000 cash back to dealer for the sedans, but nothing for wagons. Dealer says the wagon leases are priced almost 50% more than sedans. Do wagons get discounted ??? Thanks.
  • cneffcneff Member Posts: 65
I think we are out of luck on the wagons. MB does not offer deals on them often. I was also told they are way up there when compared to the sedans.

I just leased, Feb. 28th, the exact car you are describing. 39 months, 12k/yr for $633 per month, including sales tax of 8.625% Out of pocket was $795 bank fee, tax on bank fee, inspection, first payment and registration-total out of pocket was $1639. I didn't see in your post mention of bank fee-just dealer fee.
My car is white, so no upcharge for "special color", does not have sport package. Mercedes lease, not a leasing company or bank. I hope this helps you. I still feel I could have done better, but it was the last day of the month and I wouldn't be able to shop that day. We had just left Lexus dealer, and they wanted more for an ES350-so we pulled the trigger on the E350 4matic Benz. I live on Long Island.
