The Honda Odyssey Nav is excellent, and I would probably rate it much higher than the Garmin in most categories, even though you can get a good late-model Garmin for under $500. The factory Honda is also much better than my factory Toyota ('06). However, some of the maps are better on the Garmin than the Honda. The Honda Nav is voice-activated and this feature works very well. The Honda also has a HUGE screen compared to the Garmin. The Garmin is great and the maps are better than Honda, but the Honda's size and voice-activation, along with being integrated with the A/C system, etc., makes the Honda Nav far more desirable to me. No hanging wires, etc., is a huge plus. You can get aftermarket nav systems with comparable size, etc., but the price goes way up. An aftermarket integrated system costs about the same as the factory option.
The backup camera is also super. The Odyssey is the second car that I have bought recently with this feature and I couldn't imagine buying another car without it. I have two small children that leave toys in the garage, driveway, etc., so it is great for me. Plus, once you get used to it and have a feel for the distance, it is nearly impossible to back into another car, pole, mailbox, etc., as long as you are paying attention. The backup camera even works great in the dark. I put an aftermarket backup camera on a truck and there is no comparison to the factory camera when it comes to the size of the screen and the integration factor.
maybe the bay area is different..

I'm happy to take 'slightly used' for 10 Grand in savings. These folks give GREAT service. We're having engine troubles right now, I'm not too pleased with Honda, but these 'Used Car Salesmen' have jumped right in to help us out. I'll buy from them again.

Could you please send me a copy of the quote you got for an EX-L. It might help me to get a better deal, I am trying to get an EX, and the lowest OTD price is $28300.
My email address is ylee@tqs.com
Thanks
Thanks!
I will email you the quote I got. Good luck.
Just a thought.

Any thoughts?
Taxes on that car would only be $850 in VA.
Selling Price-28,499 (this does not include TTL) total price does include dest. charge.
This was not an easy trip to the Car Guy...because of the long and slow locate. I was not happy that it took so long. We went in on June 28 and will have the ody on July 20th.
I'm in the market for '07 Touring w/dvd/nav. I got a price quote from a dealer in the Bay Area for $35,688. Invoice less destination charge. Not including tax/reg/doc fees. Is that a good price or should I still try to get lower from another dealer????
Good luck everyone!
26,400 + 595 dest

I wasn't overly pleased with what they gave for my trade-in (2000 Ody), but I still feel I got a pretty good deal.
Thanks!

I wonder what was offered as trade in on the 2000 ODY.
If you can provide me your copy/proof of purchase or quote, the dealer is ready to match it.
Thanksa lot.
:confuse:
Anyone have the towing package installed and be willing to post what they paid??
2007 Odyssey eX minivan $25565
2007 Odyssey EXL minivan $27721
Where did you get the 27250?
The front grille of the new Odyssey is restyled, with two horizontal bars running across the center of the grille instead of just one, and the overall shape of the grille has been updated, making it look nearly identical to the new grille design just revealed on the 2008 Accord. The under-bumper air scoop is also shaped differently, and the contours of the front end are updated with angled creases on each side of the grille that extend down into the bumper area.
The rear hatch and tail lights have also been restyled. The clear backup lights and turn signal lights have been moved from the top of the tail lights to the bottom. The center area of the tailgate has also been reshaped, tying into the shape of the tail lights with a horizontal bar running the entire width of the tailgate, just above the license plate cutout.
This is my first post so I dont know if this question has been asked before. Looking to purchase 2007 EXL with RES and Nav in SE Michigan. I've been looking around and was told that the 2008 will come out on Sep 15. Will I get a better deal if I wait until Sep to buy a 2007 or will the prices not change that much. thanks for your help
$27,323 price

We shopped around online and got some internet offers, then went to see 2 of the best email deals we received and went from there.
We also got the 2.9% 36 month financing special for the nationwide "honda 2007 Clearance" event. They also have 4.9% for 60 months. On approved credit, of course, and we had to ask (insist) for it.
We read up on what tactics to expect during the "negotiating process" but we were still kind of shocked at some of the things people at various dealerships tried to pull while we were shopping around. I don't know what would have happened if we weren't prepared. Beware.
Our experience at Santa Ana Honda was overall satisfactory, the internet salesman we dealt with was pretty straightforward and didn't try to change things on us after getting us in the door. 3-4 hours well spent on a Saturday. I hope we don't have to do this again for awhile. Completed the purchase after 1 week of intensive research and after test driving the Honda, Toyota and a few others. Good luck out there.

I don't know where Triangle, NC is...but if you are near Danville, VA (20 min. from Greensboro, NC) the dealership there gave me a quote of $33,000 OTD for VA. This makes the car price about $31,000. Look up John Hoover Honda in Danville, VA.
Good luck!

Given that incentives have recently been reduced, it seems unlikely they'll be sweetened any time soon.
