Need some expert advice....should I wait until January 5th to see if they will offer some incentives or could the residual, MF, potentially get worse with the calendar year changing over? Nobody has a crystal ball, but what would you do if you were in my shoes?
If I end up pulling the trigger now and they roll out some rebates or 0% financing I will not be a happy camper!
Thanks in advance!

I live in Bay Area, CA. Does anyone can give me any idea what is the reasonable OTD price for this van in the Bay Area? Can anyone suggest a dealer also? I am very shy to negotiate with dealers. Shall I wait till Jan or Feb? I know very little on how to buy a car.
Thanks in advance.
Anybody want to buy EX in the same area please join us. Hope we can chop the price down.
My gmail contact info AB27cd97. Thanks!
For 2010 Odyssey LX, the dealer in my area told me their costs was = 24,296 (invoice) + 710 (dest) + 100 (ads) = $25,106. They are only willing to offer me $100 off this price + a dealer installed accessory that they claimed worth $199 (for free). So, my price is $25,006 + ttl + dmv fees.
This is the best deal I can get from many dealers in my area.
Just curious what kind of incentives your dealer has? I guess they are selling at a loss, or perhaps I am missing something...
Anyone else out there has such a great deal as carfan's?
Thanks.
One of our group member bought EX on 12/24/2009
1) This is a real purchase price
Odyssey EX from Gillman Honda of FortBend (Houston area)
EX Vehicle Price $26,599.99
Sales Tax $1,662.50
Documentary Fee $189.00
Title Fee $58.80
License Plates $60.80
Inspection Fee $23.75
Full Deputy Fee $5.00
Dealer's Inventory Tax $67.24
Add-ons ~$820
Your Drive out Price $29,500
Add-ons mandatory on every vehicle sold by this dealer, I guess they make money in the add-ons
2) This is only final negotiation not purchase price.
I too quote on EX-L W/ RES with similar discounts, but I have not purchased.
Drive out quote for EX-L W/ RES is $34,500 (this includes the same add-ons as above)
Per my calculation, here are the figures (I got only final driveout price from dealer and I interpreted details)
Selling price $30,500
Destination $710
Add-ons $800 ( window tint, pinstripe, wheel locks, and splash guards)
TTL $2500
OTD price $34,500
I asked for $34 K but dealer did not give.
I just researched to find all purchase prices from Jan 2009 to Dec 2009.
Many people in the first half of the year got almost $4000 less than the current offers. I need van by Summer 2010, so I am thinking to wait for better deals.
3) This is a quote by email from HolmesHonda, Louisiana ( I have to pay again for TX to transfer the title). I cannot trust on this offer, they may ask for add-ons after driving there (I have to drive more than 500 miles). Local people can make use of this offer.
This deal is contingent on completion of paperwork by January 4th at 7pm.

2010 Honda Odyssey EX-L MSRP $34,115
Selling price $29,802 plus tax ($1862.63), titkle and license ($265.55)
Total Drive Out $31,930.18 for EX-L
2010 Honda Odyssey EX-L RES MSRP $35,715
Selling price $31,216 plus tax ($1951), title and license ($265.55)
Total Drive Out $33,432.55 for EX-L RES
I dont know if my dealar has any incentives or not but i purcahsed in the last week of november and that might be the reason of getting that price. You can try AAA buying program or Amex buying program to get another pricing option.
You can do some reasearch on www.truecar.com to see what other ppl are paying.
Good luck
Can any one throw some light on the purchase price ( OTD) if they purchased one.
Thanks a ton !!
The prices I had from dealers is coming out to 33,635 /33,715 (taxes, registration fee excl. which comes to about 3500).
I'm thinking of an offer of $30,000 but would like your input.

"Car is certified, 17,000 miles approx. Listed on the lot for $32,998 and online for $31,995 (Have to love that). I'm thinking of an offer of $30,000 but would like your input. "
I see that you got a quote for EX L RES OTD. Did any of you also look at one with navigation?
I know that there are no incentives now, but am thinking to buy with whatever best price I can get now.
By R & L - did you mean RES? Also, which dealership did you end up buying from?
Replacing 2001 odyssey with 202,000 miles - replaced transmission paid for by honda and now transmission with issues again - figured I put a lot of miles on it - hoping it would last till the 2011 model comes out but unfortunately can't wait
I would buy the 2010 EXL w/ RES and just buy an external navi instead (eventhough its nice to have one thats built in). With the aftermarket gps's, its easier to toss them and buy new ones every year or two years and get the latest maps, plus you can use them when you're traveling. (And I own a 2005 MDX w/ NAVI and RES, so I speak from experience of having owned a Honda/Acura with Navi)
Most title, tags, and doc fees are less than $150.
Just a suggestion.
Do you think it worth to buy the extended warranty? I plan to visit the dealer tomorrow, try to buy before year end to take advantage of tax benefit. Anything else that I need to be aware of so I would not be tricked by them?
Thank you!
Let me know which dealer gave you this price.

You are kidding right.. What you mean by OTD?. You would not have bought EX-L RES for this price including tax, title etc., The invoice price itself $31,706 (without destination fee).
Let me know which dealer gave you this price.

Got an OTD quote for USD 35,500. Visiting the dealer today.
Do you have any updates ?
thanks
I paid $29550 + taxes, destination fee and stuff. It came out to $32838 OTD ( give or take a few dollars. I am typing from memory).
Someone please tell me I didn't get ripped off.
