We bought it from Honda of Lisle Superstore. The actual price was $31,300 including destination and splash guards which were already installed. No RES or NAV, no other accessories.
The $31,353 quote was from Valley Honda in Aurora and I believe it was for vehicle without any accessories. Original Honda of Lisle's quote was $31,699 and I used Valley Honda's quote to negotiate with Honda of Lisle.
Schaumburg Honda also gave me a good quote - $31,500 but they didn't have the color I wanted.
TAX $ 2,225.82
Title & Tag $ 37.50
Registration $ 51.45
Doc Fee $ 125.00

Could you please let us know the name of the dealer in NC that offerred that price?
Thanks!

Vehicle Price = $31,661
Dealer fee =$ 339
------------------------------------------------
Total (before tax and tag) = $32,000

Tag transfer = $37
Total (OTD incl tax, tag) - $32,337
Smoky Topaz Metallic with Truffle interior
Lifetime power train warranty (over and above the 5 yr / 60K mile from Honda)
Based on the posts here , had a reasonable idea on what a good price will be. E-mailed 5 dealerships in and around Greenville,SC , gimme a call if u can meet $32K all incl (before taxes). Within a hour got the first call where they offered 32.4K – “we cannot offer a dime below that” – told them not interested and within 5 min got a call back with 32K even. Did not ever visit the dealership. They sent the sales guy home with the car and all the paper work. Took 0.9% / 36 mo financing from Honda.
Thanks for all in the forum for posting their experiences, greatly helped me to eliminate the guess work on “what is a good price”. The whole experience was hassle free and took 48 hrs from my first e-mail to the dealer to the delivery at home.
However, this price was 'offered' to be matched by a sales rep (haven't bought yet) at Bob Barbour Honda, in Greenville, NC. However, I did NOT get the 'Barbour' price in writing, and I don't have the sales reps name with me (I'm in NY for for the holidays). They also offered the same warranty BUT I never got it in writing.
I spent about an hour sitting in a 2012 Honda EX-L at the Bob Barbour lot, using the voice activated Nav (it also runs other stuff, like heating, a/c) in order to see how 'user friendly it is). I have a Kenwood voice activated non-factory system in my 2008 Toyota Sienna and it doesn't control temperatures, a/c like the Honda BUT, I'm not super impressed with the voice activation of the Honda because it appears to be very limited in finding POI's plus its $200 a year for the upgrades to the maps, however, there IS one thing I do like and that is the very recessed screen of the Navi system, since it blocks most of the sun that washes out my screen.
When I do buy, it will probably be in the spring and it will definitely be a Honda.
I called them both and they are saying the best they can do is 35,306 + tax + doc fee + title.
He said the reason they cna;t do $34,007 is becasue the market demand changed :-(
Thanks again for your reply!
Can you please give me the details of this dealer where you bought the Honda EXL with no nav and no res for 32,000 OTD.

2012 Odyssey EX-L W/RES + (Window Tint , IBEX paint+interior protection, splash guard)
Car Price : 33,419.72 ( 34,169.72 - 750.00 Honda Incentive)
Dealer Fees + TTL : 2,480.28
OTD Paid : 35,900.00
Bought 7 year 80K miles Honda Care W/ No deductible for $600 and it was added to the loan (Hyannis Honda quotes $765.00) .
For some documentation reasons, the finance person need to put a higher price for Honda care, and to offset that he offered to lower interest rate to 1.7% for 60 mos instead of the standard 1.9% for 60 mos deal. That seem to have saved me $169.02 in finance charges over the period of loan.
Dealer : Honda_0f_Sprng
just bought 2012 EX L W/ Nav for $36245 OTD W/ 1.9% 60 months, from Treadwell honda Mobile, AL
Avoid dealers from VA..their documentation fee is too high.MD dealers have low doc fee and better price.
Don't spend more than 31500 for 2012 Odyssey EX-L (no RES, no Nav).
On top of itthis price you need to pay the tax +doc fee and tags.

EX-L with Nav.
$34,450 incl. destination and Protection Pack (all season mats, mud guards)
-$750 dealer incentive
= $33,700 + TTL
According to the Edmunds pricing tool, I guess I paid under invoice, though I think I've seen better deals than mine posted on here....
They did not offer any extras like mats, mud guards...
I don't think they have any more $750 dealer incentives at this dealer any more.
The dealers in VA charge a lot and also their doc fee is too much. So look for deals in MD or PA.
You can get a good price.I'm not against dealers in VA..but they should think practically.
This forum has helped me a lot in buying my odyssey. Thanks for all your feed back.
Thanks!
$34,610 + $482.00 roof rack + $103.00 cargo liner + $111.00 tire lock + $1587.00 8yr/120K Honda Care extended warranty.
Got $32715 + TTL offer a week earlier, but not a desired color.
February 2012 Motor Trend Long Test Article 2011 Odyssey Touring Elite, 6 months old, 14999 miles "...we'll have the technicians look at the transmission as well. Over time, shifting has become rough, and occasionally upon acceleration between first and second gears, the transmission seems to be shuddering."
But DO NOT GO to Honda of Kirkland. I wrote *2* complaint letters to the GM/Owner. I attempted/was in contact with the GM/Owner, Customer Service Manager, a Sales Manager, and 2 Sales Associates...and I'm telling you...worst car buying experience ever. Only after I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau did I get a response to either of my letters. So many dealerships in the area...go to *any* one of them. I honestly would have paid more for a better experience...and if you knew me...that's saying something.
Trim: Touring Elite
Vehicle Price: $39,195
Accessories: $1190 (trailer kit kit and ATF cooler)
Honda care:1295
Destination: $0
Doc Fees: $599
Taxes: $2,868
Tags: $18
Total OTD: $45169 - 750 Honda cash
Looks like many of them are - Odyssey 0.9%/36 mo or 1.9%/37-60 mos.
It this normal for being this close after the holidays. How long would it take for more supply to roll in ?
Anyone know of a dealer in the Los Angeles area that is willing to a near invoice price on the Touring Elite ?
These two dealers claimed that Honda is purposely keeping supply limited for these two models and hence they are able to sell at MSRP. Are they BSing me ?
I only came to know about it when I was signing the option to purchase. Nice surprise!

Does your price of $39,899 include destination ?
Thanks to all of those who have posted content here--very very helpful. I am from Ford/GM families potentially buying my first Honda Odyssey as our family continues to grow and needs the space. I have searched the content as best I can on this site but still would ask for some perspective on my experiences thus far.
Scenario: Had been looking to buy a Honda EX-L (with NAV)...although now I am thinking just the EX (with neither NAV nor RES...since we already have portable systems for both purposes).
First dealer quoted me $37,700
(-1,000 unspecified customer discount)
Perma PLate....................300.00
Trim masters...................490.00
Wheel locks.....................195.00 (but then stated that these were not options and that ALL hondas had these prices and these costs cannot be removed !!!...really? c'mon).
My trade in was worth........2,250 ( a little low but higher than Carmax)
sales tax...........................1,200
Tags/fees..............................67.0
Doc fees.............................450.
total OTD.............................37,140.
This seems rather high to me....also, I was stunned that they told me that those protection items were not options (they are with almost every other car company). Any perspective on price and/or any other info would be appreciated. I am happy to keep posting through the purchase of the car for everyone else.
On a separate note--we are going back and both on whether we need a NAV or a RES or both ( I think untimely we will not get either).
thanks
