Hmm ... that's the quote I was getting for LE I4 AT w/ VCS back in October 2007 from dealers in LI area. Since there's 2009 models out now, they should give you better price then that. I ended up buying my Camry from a dealer in Queens area. They were more flexible and explains you better the sales rep. in LI area.
Let me know if you want name of dealer and other information.
Usually $55 documents fee is all that you need to pay, plus the tax, title and license.
Not sure where you are located, but here in the SF Bay Area, that particular Camry configuration is very common and sells for $17,888 (reading from today's ads).
I bought a Camry Hybrid at the end of December from Fitzmall in Gaithesberg Va. I live near Philadelphia and used their on line pricing to see if the local dealer would meet it. They would not. I chose a car from the web site and put down a deposit. I took the Amtrak down to D.C. and then the subway. The salesman picked me up at the station and drove me to the dealership. 1 hour later I was on the road. No hard sell for the add ons. Sale price was 27952 for Hybrid, leather , moonroof, comfort and convenience package, UT package (including nav, upgraded radio and a few other small items, carpet trunk mat set. delivery 660 dollars . MRSP was 31119.00. There was a 500 dollar rebate which I did not take. I took the 3.9 percent financing instead. This is a fantastic way to buy a car.
I am picking up my 08 Camry SE 4cyl Auto in Oakdale (LI), NY this Sat. I used my Costco membership to pay $21,349 ($22,199 - $750 rebate - $100 online coupon) + Tax etc.
I am looking for an 08 Camry hybrid, w/ Nav, and hopefully: leather, remote start, and body molding. A prior poster mentioned Fitzmall which had reasonable prices posted. Can anyone recommend a NJ or near by dealer, that would have a similar website or would match others' prices?
Also another posters mentioned rebates on this car. Edmunds didn't list any. I am flexible on when I get this car. How can I find out about existing or upcoming rebate deals?
I'm a bit confused  cause a dealer told me today you cannot the Camry with Nav. He also said door molding is applied at the dealer. Is that true?
I was offered Camry Hybrid (with leather) lease. The inception fees total to $1298.00 for first payment, bank fee, tire tax, plates and dealer doc fee. The $363.00 is tax included and allows 12,000 miles per year for 36 months. Is this typical deal? or too high?
I'm also considering purchase as well if deal is good. It seems dealers give limited information over email, maybe I should just call each dealer and see what they can offer.
HI. I just bought the Camry Hybrid, witha ll feature except the NAV system, and drove it away for $25,100.
I put only $5K down. Do the math and you may find over 4 years, the monthly payment is about the same as your lease. Then you own it. I just got 40 mpg on my first tank of gas.
All the prices are online at fitzmall - you can compare your prices against them.
I'm getting mine there this week so I can let you know how it goes. The loaded '08 camry hybrid I put a deposit on is nearly $700 below invoice. - that's about 2K less than I was getting in NJ- I figure it's worth a $65 train ride.
I'm trying to finalize numbers on an LE, but I'm not sure about one thing. I know the special lease deals running include a residual enhancement, so I would think you could not combine the current $1000 rebate with that towards the final cap cost. But if I just did a standard lease of 36 months - not really crazy about a 39 month lease - could I apply the rebate towards the cap cost? I've figured it both ways and the difference is about $3-4. Thanks, Steve
Thanks for the info. I did check fitzmall but bit hesitant that I had to make a trip. I got requote for fully loaded Camry Hybrid w/Nav at 28600 (plus tax, fees, etc) with 6% tax comes to $31148. However, I was told that there would be $700 rebate from Toyota which would bring down the price to low 30s. I would definitely ask about the rebate. happy car hunting!
The LE adds a power driver's seat, and keyless entry. And, of course, a lot of extra money for these two extra features. The CE has power everything except the power locks you have to manually use the key to open the car, and hit the lock button when you get out to lock it. Some people just add keyless for $200, and then you have the same car as a LE except the power driver's seat, and I can live without that.
That's it, no other changes at all, other than the LE badge on the rear!
I had a great buying experience at Team Toyota of Langhorne PA. 08 LE Automatic, With Alloys, JBL Sound System w/Bluetooth, Moonroof and Preferred Accessory Package
Dealer also agreed to a 61% residual and a money factor of .0005!!!!(Thats nothing!!!)
Rolled all the fees into the lease: Acq: 550 3 Years Registration: 230 (New Jersey) Title: 40(NJ Title Fee With Up to 2 Leins on the Title) Doc: 45(Pennsylvania Doc Fee Capped at 45) Tires: 5 (Pennsylvania Tire Tax) Tax: 641(7% of total depriciation) Montly Payment Came out to 271.
Nothing out of my pocket. Walked away(Actually drove away) with the car for 271/month. I am going to add the side skirts and bumper lips myself and mod the exhaust to dual and this LE will look better than a Silver SE. It already sounds better due to the JBL.
Here's what i'm being offered by Darcars Toyota (www.darcars.com) in Silver Spring, Md
2008 Toyota Camry SE (4cyl/Automatic) with the following options: 50 State Emissions JBL FM/AM In-Dash 6CD Changer Power Moonroof Rear Spoiler Vehicle Stability Control
For: $22,450 OUT THE DOOR!
Out the door includes the following fees INCLUDED: Tags/Registration/Title/Lien Fee: $198 Processing Fee: $100 Tax (6%) $1260 Rebate: $1000
Yeap, really spoke to the dealer last night. Funny thing is the dealer agreed to my offer too fast; so i'm going to make a story up and tell them that another local dealer counter offered them at $21.9k and i'm going to see if they bite and try to beat that? I've done it before and it has worked so we shall see.
I am trying to finalise a target price for my new toyota camry LE 4 cyl, I have recievd quotes from dealers out of door price in $19845.00.19940.00 Is it a good price ? invoice is in edmunds is $19520.00 and TMV $19066.00( with $1000 reate and I need to add 6% tax and tags+dealer fee if any i beleive)
There is a $1000 rebate so What should be my Ideal target price.?
"There out to make a dollar and i'm out to save a dollar."
This is true however dealers can verify the price you got elsewhere.
"They are guaranteed a profit regardless of what they sell the car for because of "HOLDBACK""
This is false because a dealer can sell the car and not make a profit including holdback if low enough.
Based upon your posts you are still pretty green of what is a good price or not and what all is involved. A dealer will make money off of you and you can purchase the car cheaper elsewhere for whatever price you paid.
Actually what your saying is false, I wholesale cars for a living. New car dealers are guaranteed HOLDBACK for moving the item; regardless of what they sell the car for. $22,450, was what they told me, I as a consumer I have the right to go anywhere and buy my vehicle from; like I said I plan to throw them a low ball of $21.9k and see if they bite... i'm almost 100% sure they will bite.
They don't verify jack... back in May 2007, I bought my 07 Ram CTD/QC from Steve White Motors in NC and did the same thing and they beat my local dealer in MD by $3k OTD.
That is a bit higher about $900 higher than what others have paid OTD. You yourself was not sure if it was a good deal and you wholesale cars for a living? that is somewhat contradictory.
"Actually what your saying is false, I wholesale cars for a living. New car dealers are guaranteed HOLDBACK for moving the item; regardless of what they sell the car for."
This is false a dealer can still lose money moving a new car.. example:
Dealers cost in a particular car is $26,000 dealer makes a mistake and sells said car for $25,000 dealer then gets holdback of $750... dealer is still in hole for $250.
If you ar not sure if a price is a good price or not use the various resoruces at your fingertips for education.
Hey, I just saw the Toyota Camry Hybrid for 0% Financing for 48 months in MD/PA region....(Feb 12 to Feb 19) on ToyotaFinancial.com - Is this true? WOW! Seems to be President's Day special....
Hi everybody, Thank you all for your greate advices on this site. I am planning to buy Toyota Camry Hybrid in San Diego, CA area. Has anyone bought one recently? I would like to find out about the lovest price I could get on it. Thank you again .
I got the TCH with Nav/Leather (MSRP 31.2k) for $27.9k..... Doesn't include sales tax....That's the best quote that I got in NJ Dealer added some junk like Auto Etch/Pinstripe etc for $500....making in $28.4...but then the dealer gave me $500 gas card (a 4 step rebated process ...Wonder if I will get the $500 ever)
I didn't take the $1000 rebate but went for financing....
Hi, Thanks for the advice, I got a deal for 08 toyota camry le 4 cyl silver auto trans with $19300 OTD it looked to me a good price but at the end i found there is no floor mat inside car when ask this to dealer he says they don't get in all cars Is not this standard in camry 08 ? Can I claim to Toyota ?
I got it from darcars silver spring, he only gave me lowest quote I had little bit higher from antwerpen and interior is ash grey, plz send me the link for mats
I bought a basic 2008 Camry Hybrid w/preferred accessory package (rear bumper protector, cargo mat, first aid kit & carpeted F&R floor mats) for $24,200 out the door. This included the $1000 rebate. Not sure if it's a good deal, but this is what I was able to get out of them. It was pretty difficult to find a base model with minimal or no packages installed.

I am looking at a 2008 Camry LE.. I guess there is a $750 rebate now.. But,, what about dealer conveyance fees of $250, and Etched windows???
How much can I get this car, in the CT area, before taxes.
Are destination charges mandatory for payment??
Need the car soon. Help is appreciated.
Let me know if you want name of dealer and other information.
I am going to check out another dealer to get some figures from them, vs my local guy..

They are guaranteed a profit regardless of what they sell the car for because of "HOLDBACK" do some research on it and then think about "ethical".
They can do what they want, in the end I can take my business elsewhere. :P

turst me... there is only one way to deal with the "Dealers"
This is true however dealers can verify the price you got elsewhere.

HOLDBACK is guaranteed profit, regardless like I said before. A DEALER NEVER LOSES MONEY, plain and simple. I want to see some proof to your claim.
