Dodge,Ford,Chevy------who wins?

  thanks for your input...when you read people's comments about all of these vehicles, it seems they all have major build problems. The Ford's wandering all over the road and chewing gas like it's free, Chev's polluting the roadside with leaking oil from every seal and the Dodges littering the roadsides with broken gearboxes...I hear Chevs spit out the odd gearbox too. I can't believe Chrysler still uses the 318 cu in engine...is this the same unit that has been around since the 60's?...John Deere's would have a more up to date engine in their tractors surely...

  You stated my point. Dodge made junk for years and it takes time to rebuild that overall perception regardless of present-day standards. I never said Ford and Chevy were perfect;hell, I've had problems with all three. My input into this discussion is my expierences with all three for my firm. I haven't just personally owned two or three to pontificate about yet, many different trucks in which I simply balance pros and cons.

  I disagree strongly with your analysis with the driving of a Ford. Every source of motor press raved about the overhaul in 1997 about Ford's quality of ride. I don't know of the new Chevy but our 95s blow. Talk about man-handling! Those trucks were the worst "new" trucks we ever bought.
  And yes Virginia, there are differences. It is not as simple as throwing a dart at a target to determine which truck to buy. That is a major cop-out. I've met many people that have strong emotions when comparing brands whenever they switch despite of brand preferences. I'm one of those people. I was a diehard Chevy fan and woke up when using our Fords and Dodges. I found major differences each unique to brand. Subjective and objective aspects matter.
