I checked the '99 catalog and noticed the same thing: Apparently you need an LS to get the "fold down center storage armrest" (the LT doesn't fold down since it is an actual center console).
I would bet that you could get the hinges and center fold down section for an LS and just bolt it in, as I seriously doubt that Chevy would have two completely different seat brackets for base and LS ... especially considering that base, LS and LT all use the same actual seats with different coverings.
Whether or not it's worth it is up to you.

You might have better luck trying to find a wreck to get the seats out of. But you need a special tool to get the seats loose. I haven't found the tool yet.

I heard about the 2.9% from my sales guy Doug.
He called to give me an update on the build date
and said they just found out yesterday (Apr 15th)about the new rate. He also said the expiry date was June 30th but they often extend it. BTW I ordered mine(1500LS Ext.,2wd Z85,4.8,auto,tow pkg etc) on Mar23rd and the sales guy called Apr 1 and gave me a build date of May 10. When he called yesterday he said it could be built even before that because they have had some show up on the lot on or before the build date.
P.S. Anything in a name?
