Latest aggravations:
Truck arrived at the dealer Thursday. Salesman called and left 2 messages to set up appointment to close deal. Called my house just as I got home and indicated I "needed" to come to dealership tonight. Found out when I got there all he wanted to do was close the deal that night. Truck wasn't even prepped and I had no chance to look at it in the daylight. Salesman said I could then come back Friday to take delivery. Told him sorry but I wanted my wife on the title and she obviously wasn't by my side at the moment. Also told him I wanted to close and take delivery Saturday.
Friday he called 2 more times trying to get me or my wife in there.
Saturday I went in to pick up the truck. The business guy tried to get me to use their financing. I got 6.5% for 5 years through my credit union. They also provide free life and disability coverage to pay off the loan. Dealer offered 5.9% at 4 years saying payments would be about $5 less per month. After discussing it for a while and staying with my CU he checks his computer. OOPS! He had put in the wrong term and payment for dealer financing was $50 higher. Have 7 days to get check from the credit union.
Salesman spent about 2 minutes discussing features and let me go.
Accessories woman then tried to sell me undercoating. Told me GM was no longer doing the hot wax treatment on the underside. No sale.
Tuesday called my credit union. They had not yet received fax of bill of sale so they could cut check. Called dealer. Had not yet faxed bill of sale. Said they weren't used to dealing with credit unions!?! I think they were just trying to force me into financing through the dealership. If I hadn't called my CU I wouldn't have even known the dealer never contacted them.
I have not been a pain in the butt to these guys. I got my deal through Costco's buying program. I didn't haggle on price. I knew exactly what I wanted. And I rarely even called them for info.
Salesman also said I'd get a survey from GM and that the dealership would give me a free tank of gas if I came by and filled it out with him. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone want to buy my integrity for 50 bucks worth of gas?
gotribe1 - So if this is on my invoice then
dealer orderd my 2 truck purchases as fleet vechile? One of the trucks was ordered GM employee and other one sold unit. So does this mean the dealer ordered them fleet instead of regular? How many days then does dealer have free interest and other extra things like fuel? Is this good or bad for me that dealer ordered them fleet instead of regular? As a GM employee I am paying invoice minus and other truck is at invoice so this charge is something I have to
pay. I found it unusual that there would be a
$16.50 charge on invoice and no charge on MSRP. I
did not request this option and dealer never
mentioned this option. Trucks are suppose to arrive at dealer later this week. I am trying to find out this information before they arrive. I do for the factory invoice on each truck that dealer gave me last week. Does dealer get more free interest days fleet wise or comes out better in other ways?

Dealer did not tell me he was going to order them fleet. If they were ordered the regular way how may free interest days does dealer get. Does dealer come out ahead ordering fleet vs. regular way? Do I come out ahead or loss with dealer ordering my trucks fleet. I do not plan on buying the trucks until the end of the month, as orginially that was the projected arrivial by dealer. I am not ready to get them since they are going to come early, later this week.

In post #119 you said you had an original TPW of 4-10. In post #159 you said it was actually delivered on 4-10. So what was your actual build date, and then how long to get to dealer on 4-10?
Trucks are suppose to be here later this week. I would like to be informed as I can talk intelligent to dealer. I will not want to pick up trucks until April 27th. Dealer orginaly told me they would not be here until first part to mid May. I have to wait until April 27th to free up money to purchase. Would have been just right according to dealers orginial time frame. Dealer told me they would not even be built until this week and now they will be here this week.
Gm built my truck (finished i guess) 4-6-00
Received by dealership 4-10-00
They moved the TPW up a wk.

Really lucked out on selling my old Dodge. Put a for sale sign on it 2 days ago, and 3 people I work with want to buy it as a first vehicle for their high school kid. Told them it goes to the highest bidder!!

*Delivery to dealer, not customer/owner
My truck will not sit at the dealers for any longer than it takes me to get a check from the credit union.
What do you mean you don't need 4 cars for 3 people to drive? My wife and I have 5 cars/trucks and 5 motorcycles to drive. All licensed and insured. I do want to sell a couple (72 El Camino and 91 Capri conv) to make room for the new truck. May also sell the current truck.

(R6J Captive Fleet-Janesville). I did not order
this it but it came on the invoice of my new truck
under options. It shows 0 cost under MSRP and
$16.50 charge under invoice amount. Truck was
ordered GMO. Does this mean dealer ordered my
truck fleet.
Also truck was built in Wentsville(St. Louis)
plant. I did not know they were making truck
there. Any comments on trucks coming out of that
plant.
Ordered from dealer 1/7/00, dealer got allocation 2/29, built 4/4, delivered 4/13. It sure seemed like a lifetime while I was waiting, but now that its here, it doesn't seem like that long, especially considering its a 2500.
Full specs are 2500 LS, 6.0l, 3.73, auto, 2WD, tow package, heavy duty suspension, fog lamps, tow hooks, bucket seats, camper mirrors.
HOT DAMN!!!!
Good Luck with it.

My dads 87 Blazer is kinda over the hill thats why we are getting rid of it. Get about a couple grand for that and put towards my truck. Ill give him his 92 S-10 back to drive to the steel mill ill get the silverado (he will get to drive my silverado on weekends when im at work) and my mom will have her 2000 blazer still. It all works out, theres just no point in us having 4 vehicles we can only drive one at a time. I could see if we had like a corvette or some like great car but a 13 yr old blazer? nah get rid of it and get some cash.

Congrats Wight let us know how u like it

Picked it up about 3:30 yesterday afternoon, and went on a drive that ended up being about 100 miles. What an absolutely awesome truck! All 4 doors are solid, no wind noise, no rattles, no vibration, no launch shudder. The 6.0l engine is really something. And although its way too early to tell, it looks to me like the gas gauge isn't going down any faster than on my old truck!
Found some small chips in the paint on the edge of the tailgate late last night. Salesman and I both did walk-around before I took delivery, but somehow both of us missed it. Called dealer this morning and he's sending somebody over to my office to touch it up for me.
It doesn't move at all for about 50 miles.
Hope you get great mileage with your 2500.
