Has anyone figured this out? Is there an alternate location for the front plate?
Thanks.
The number I believe is 1802704
Sunday I was looking at a 300C at a local dealer. It looked darned nice in the Lava Red - far nicer than I had expected from the color chip in the brochure. When I sat in it, however, I had the distinct feeling that the steering wheel was not perpendicular to my body. The right side was closer to me by 1/4" to maybe 1/2". I showed my wife and the salesman, and they could easily see it from outside. It seems like a minor thing, but made the entire seating position feel wrong. I then sat in the Touring next to it and it was the same. Lastly, I checked a Magnum SXT on the lot, and it too was not straight. I don't recall noticing this on the Chryslers or Dodges I drove several weeks back, at another dealer. Has anyone else noticed this? Sometimes cars are just designed that way, but I'd sure like to think that it was a quirk of that dealer's setup or something.
By the way, the Hemi is definitely the way to go for maximum fun.
So far the only other things I've seen are the overhead map lights, one of mine burnt out in the first week (another owner from the same dealer had both of his go out a couple days apart also within the first couple weeks), and the clip to hold my sun visor in place broke. Yet another easy/inexpensive fix, but also something that probably shouldn't have happened within the first month of ownership.
Chrysler definitely ought to be getting plenty of feedback from the service techs on these little things. I suppose that's the price of getting a new model car.
Tomorrow I'll be driving 150 miles round trip during daylight. I'll see what happens.
Thanks for your imput.

The thing that keeps me from buying this particular car is that it had a rattle coming from the passenger side dashboard. I went in to deal on the car just to see what kind of deal they are making on these cars. They wanted MSRP with an additional $249 for dealer documentation fee plus a title fee.
When I started to walk out of the dealer the sales manager came in to ask me what he can do to get me to buy it today. I told him that it has a rattle on the passenger side dashboard, and when he looked at the salesman the salesman confirmed this problem. The sales manager did not say that he would have the service department fix this - he simply watched me walk out of his dealership.
Are these rattles a common problem with these new 300Cs? Can anybody tell me if your 300 has any rattles?
I want to buy a new 300C but Chrysler's history with their quality is what really scares me. I am currently driving a Honda Accord and I have just given it it's first brake job at 68,000 miles and I am happy with Honda quality and value in spite of a small rattle coming from the Honda in dash 6 CD stereo.
If this 300C is an unusually good Chrysler product then I want to trade in for it. It is by far the best rear wheel drive muscle car for the money at this time. Nobody else is selling anything like this at this price.
Thank you.
1000 miles on it.
Thanks, Ivan1
