My bad. I was judging from the first picture posted, at which the front wheel axis looks much deeper than the front wheel flank.
But now I see the wheels are akin to those of the Lambo depicted above. Nice thoroughbred bull that Miura, by the way. (Today has started the SanFermin Fest in Pamplona, where Miura bulls are legendary. )
I believe that car is the GaZ "Chaika" which is Russian for "sea gull." I also believe they still looked like a 1956 Packard through the early 1970s. There was a larger car similar to it called the ZIL 111.
I'm not even sure about what to do at this point with the insurance. I talked to my rep right away, and of course we would be paying the deductible then the balance of the claim would be 'our' collision experience... I was hoping that by determining what type of vehicle hit it, that I could narrow it down in the office and try to pursue that way, not sure if that would have worked anyway!!
At least you went to the right place - the participants in this discussion have seen just about everything, so it must be just too small a piece to jog our collective memory. Sorry.
Well sorta, it's a 1976 Lagonda V8 S1, basically a four-door version of thecontemporary A-M Vantage V8. The car badged as the Aston-Martin Lagonda came along about the same time but was so glitch-ridden that A-M decided not to use the Lagonda name for the current four-door Rapide.
If this is a Dodge or Plymouth, I can only wonder what accroutements the 1957ish Chrysler Imperial model sported. I really dig the twin radio antennae. Was that a backup system , or was it one for AM and one for FM. Maybe FM stereo ?
I believe 1956/57 was the time the Russians launched their infamous Sputnik satellite, so i'm sure radio antennae were all the rage back then, along with the tailfins of course.............
Oh please...all those pastels? And white shoes AFTER Labor Day?! Hell, Jim Rockford would kick their asses. Magnum would kick their asses. Heck, Sue Ann Nivens would kick their asses! :P

My '57 DeSoto has twin antennas, one on each tailfin. At first I thought one was just a dummy, but there are wires running from each one. I think FM was a barren wasteland back then, so with these cars, I think AM was all you got. I think as an option you could get one speaker in the back, often built into the design of the back seat, and I've heard of something called "reverb", which gave it more bass and sort of simulated stereo, but still wasn't quite stereo.
I'd imagine the twin antennas do give the car better reception? The radio in my DeSoto quit working, but when it did, I do recall it seemed to get a pretty good signal.
The script on the fender reads: Regent. The Dodge Regent was equivalent to a Belvidere IIRC. I saw at a car show whose plate read "PLODGE".
I googled around on the web, and info on the Canadian Plodges is sketchy at best. I recall a car called the Dodge Crusader, and also one called the Mayfair, but this is the first time I've heard of a Regent. I think Crusader was the cheap model, which in Plymouth nomenclature would have been a Plaza. Wikipedia said that Mayfair was the top line, which would have equated to a Belvedere. So maybe Regent was the mid-line? That would make sense I guess, as that Plodge above looks a bit low-line to me. So maybe the Regent equated to a Plymouth Savoy?
FWIW, there was also a, for lack of a better word, "PleSoto", which was a Plymouth with DeSoto sheetmetal. It was called the Diplomat, and I think it actually outlived the domestic built DeSoto by a year or two. It was a Plymouth with a DeSoto grille and trim. It was rather popular in export markets for awhile.
Yup, the MV Daytona Spider was a Corvette-based kit car. The fakery is most apparent in the phony looking wire wheels (definitely not Borranis) and the Corvette windshield.
Eventually (third season) Sonny Crockett got a real Ferrari>
Kia Borrego, big new BOF SUV. Timing is kinda sucky, but this is basically the replacement for the Hyundai Terracan (think Korean Land Cruiser) so it will do okay globally. Bringing the diesel version over here would help.
I think I might have had a Countach poster...I don't know if I had the Testarossa. I remember I had a Bburago model of a Testarossa...but the 80s Ferraris I liked more were the F40 and the 288GTO - something about the latter attracted me. The cheese grater sides and weird mirror on the Testarossa always nagged me, too.
I remember years ago I was in Vancouver in the fintail - I parked at Pacific Centre, and when I returned to my car a red Testarossa was parked beside me. It was a very amusing sight parked next to something as boxy and angular as my car.

I doubt those wheels are American, they resemble those seen on the Lambo Miura so it's likely they're Italian, perhaps Campagnolos.>

Euro shifters of the period tended to be very thin...in the floorshift fintails I have seen as well as 113 SLs, the shifter is similar.

I remember reading years ago abotu Enzo actually giving the actors or the show a car, as it made the brand very popular.
Never got into the show, myself...it debuted when I was pretty young, and I never watched it but in passing.
The Testarossa has a menacing stance when seen on the street, just because of it's width, and low height.
I heard they're not comfy to drive due to the wheel well intrusion into the driver's side foot well.

The car I remember most from "grown up" 80s TV is the shark BMW from Moonlighting.
