    The '48s didn't have tail fins. It's got to be a 1949 or later.

    The 1948 model Cadillac is the first finned Cadillac unless it's the Series 75 long-wheelbase/limo model which carried the vintage 1942 prewar style through 1949.

    Yes that's a '49 I believe. Has the split rear windshield that you can't see very well. Look how modern the roofline is. I think they would call this a model 6107 Sedanet...not sure. There was also a 6207 listed.

    IMO Cadillac never made another car that comes close to this one in pure, clean, elegant good taste.

    Well the pimpy wire wheels need to be removed, but other than that..... :P

    If you can't see through the wires, to make the car spacious and graceful underneath, then don't bother putting them on. :mad:

    Those hideous wheels distinguish my MG Magnette from the near twin Wolseley - they look better on the Magnette than the TD/TF range, I think. Actually the earliest TDs had a different disc wheel, with four slots around the edge - I used to pass one on my evening commute until about ten years ago.

    I agree about the '49 Sedanette being absolutely classic. It's always been a favorite. Your pic with the wire wheels is interesting -- I've seen much worse, and I could see how this look could grow on someone (as long as you had the originals to swap out for serious times).
    I was kind of confused about the front parking lights varying from solid rectangle shape to small round lights in a rectangular bezel. I'm guessing that this small distinction indicated the difference between the Series 61 vs Series 62???

    I'd make one exception, IMO the '49 Convertible was even nicer, I saw a black Series 62 with a tan top this weekend and it was just outstanding!

    It's easy to make just about any convertible attractive, but it's not so easy to make a "post 2D" look good.

    LANCIA -- it was designed by Raymond Loewy, who should have known better. Maybe the man was on the skids at this time (1960). Maybe Exner stole his brain. Who knows? Yes it's a Flaminia-based car, with special coachwork by Zagato. The full name is a Lancia Flaminia Supersport Zagato. I believe one of the Zagato family designers just died last week.

    A very mellow yellow Dellow no doubt. I don't think they made but a couple hundred of them, as a kind of replicar trials car for the UK. late 40s to late 50s.

    I doubt very many people ordered a Series 61 or 62 sedanette with wire wheels as they were the least expensive 1949 Cadillacs. Most Cadillacs of that vintage sporting wire wheels would've been convertibles.

    Wow, that pic of the Jeepster looks remarkably like the one that my wife's stepfather owned in Wyoming. He passed away last year and my MIL had to sell it. It wasn't quite in that nice of condition, of course, but I think she got a few thousand for it.

    Still leaves her with two cars - a '97 Eldorado and a '97 Grand Cherokee Limited. Neither one probably has more than 35K on them.

    Small is good offroad. The Dellow could go places that a Jeepster couldn't being both smaller and lighter.

    The hubcaps actually look like something off of a Dodge Dart. Meanwhile, around the windshield/cowl area, it looks like it's related to an American Chevy Nova. My guess is some kind of Vauxhall or Opel, circa 1973?
