I know it is a Cisitalia and from early post war. Something does not look quite right though.
Now that will worry me all night.

I am no good at US trucks but is it a Dodge Power Wagon from early 1950's? The cab reminds me of a standard Army cab which seemed to appear on a whole lot of army vehicles.
I am thinking maybe converted Korean war vintage reused as a fire truck.

First attempt at posting this got lost in transmission, so might see two messages.
I am guessing early 50's Chevrolet (maybe Belair) convertible. Throught th '50s Australian Holdens looked like Chevy's from a few years before and the line look like a late 50's Holden

A good deal fancier than the ones we made as kids. We used to regularly enter our billy-carts (the name in Australia, honouring the fact that early carts were dragged by billy goats) in a derby in a nearby town. Ours were all built by kids and we were deeply disdainful of carts built with parental assistance (although they always won).
The wheels were scrounged from old prams off the local rubbish tip. The very fastest, and wildest to control, fitted small ball bearing races onto whittled timber slats, either wedging them on or hammering a nail on each side, leaving the riders backside two inches from the pavement. If the bearing races were in reasonable condition and well oiled, they were phenomenally quick. Steering control was arbitrary as metal on pavement has a low coefficient of adhesion, but the noise was spectacular.
On a good day, you could tear through two pairs of trousers, falling onto the road surface. I still have a scar on my right hand to tell me of my childhood. Our mothers were remarkably tolerant!

I was a local Soap Box Derby champion in 1970... back when Chevrolet sponsored and it was a big event...
Got an all-expenses paid trip to Akron for myself and family (Boy Scout camp for me, college dorms for the family.. for nearly a week)...
Heady stuff for a 12-yr-old!

Could be wrong, but I think I remember seeing it.
Maybe it was because they hit their head.
Also there is an event near here every year put on by the local high schools and all teams / students can only build their racers in the wood shops at school. No outside advice is allowed. It gets highly competitive with multiple teams from multiple schools. Each grade is broken into different classes. Class A is 11-12th grades, Class B is 9-10th grade, Class C is 7-8th, and Class D is 6th grade. What is nice is the students are graded on their workmanship, not the results.

New Documentary Focuses on Tale of Hemingway's 1955 Chrysler New Yorker
"A 1955 Chrysler New Yorker Deluxe Convertible that once belonged to author Ernest Hemingway is being restored by a museum located at his former home near Havana.
Hemingway paid $3,924 for the Navajo Orange and Desert Sand car in 1955 while living in Cuba, where he had maintained a residence since 1939."
Definitely not Chrysler. Early 50's GM, probably Chevrolet!

Unless they just used a Chevy for shooting some scenes. :shades:
Here's a head shot of the New Yorker.
There is no chance the yellow car is a '55 Chrysler. That car looks totally different. It sure looks like an early '50s GM to me.

You are going really obscure, even for Australian cars!
This is a Holden Brougham, I think an HG model from about 1970-71. However there is something about the grille which looks not quite right so I wonder if it is an overseas market export. The model script would normally be on the lip of the bonnet, not on the grille.
The Brougham was essentially a Holden Premier, with a longer boot, but the body and nose was bog standard Holden fare. It was not a sales success and died after three years, to be replaced by the long wheelbase Holden Statesman.
