They can do the PDI and you can instruct them to not remove any packaging or do any clean up if don't want them to.
Also let them know not to mount the front License bracket if you rather not put it on. Assuming your state requires one. Some people don't want it on even though their state requires it because they don't want holes in the bumper that requires mounting the bracket.

Mark - I read that the front license plate bracket arrives in the trunk of new vehicles, ready for dealer installation. Perhaps "bracket" is the wrong term.
The bracket is in the trunk of the car when it arrives at the dealership and the service department installs it when they PDI the car. Now if you live in a State that doesn't require a plate on the front then there won't be a bracket with the car. It comes with cars in States that require front plates.
components so a little extra care is taken to not spill oil
on the steering brace. Really no problem. I have 2 other vintage Mustangs and always service my own. Hope this helps.
He doesn't need to add any filling. Just had sand them to fit them right. Then prime. Then sand. Then prime some more. Now wet sand and then paint, they mount them. No bolts. They apply with 3M tape.
Once they are mounted they have to sit 24 hours before driving to give the tape time to set up properly.
I will get pics when it is done. I'm guessing Tues. or Wed. at this point, unless he can get them painted and mounted by the end of today.
have to use a couple of short 2 x 6's laid at the
bottom of the ramp to elevate the front of the car
enough to start up the ramps. I use a typical
long handle floor jack to raise my cars and then
put jackstands with adjustable heights under the
frame. Put rags on the jackstands to keep from
scratching the frame.
I don't remember any wheel hop in my '68. The previous owner of my '67 Sunbeam Tiger put traction bars on it, which prevented rear end problems when accelerating. So I was told. The new GT500 must have a lot of torque for this to be a problem - understatement, I'm sure.
Even with jackstands under car I leave the ramps under front
or rear wheels as and extra safety measure.
I visited one of the dealerships I was trying to secure a sale from and the salesman I was working with had just quit. Of course, no notification, I discovered this by chance. I spoke to his replacement and the young sales rep seemed befuddled when I asked about the GT500. He stated, "well, you know...they're only making one thousand of those cars a year." At that, I bid him good day and my wife and I left. :confuse:
Anyway, here is my news. A friend of mine works in the Shelby Plant in Flat Rock. I told him my car was scheduled for production on 032607 and he said he would watch for it. This morning I got the following email from him.
" Your Car is scheduled to be built on 03-30-07. It will be held a couple of days in the Paint Shop for extra special inspection. Then a couple of more days because it has to be sent across to another building to have
the stripes put on. One bad thing that I did hear is that It will be shipped by rail and there is a shortage of rail cars to send them on so I don't know how long that will take? I will try to keep you posted. It's kinda
like having a baby, isn't it. LoL Pretty exciting!"
I thought you all might enjoy this. I will post it in Blue Oval also since there has been some talk about the striping department behind about 200 cars.

As for "fastforagirl" she will eventually get around to posting pictures. She's gonna run out of gas sooner or later.
Invoice $22,995 - $3,000 Final Pay Cash = $19,995 Dealer invoice after final pay.
That would be dealer invoice after the final pay cash from Ford. The final pay cash is what the dealer gets from Ford after Ford eliminates the rebates. Final pay amounts vary depending on vehicle. Rangers had $3,000
So it would appear you bought it for $65 over invoice after getting the final pay cash applied.
What dealer did you buy it at? The one I found was in MA. Sunnyside is where it is at. Torch Red.
Nothing wrong with that deal, BUT, you are not going to like this. You could get basically the same truck for about the same deal after the $2,000 rebate and $500 auto show cash. But this auto show cash is for my area. Incentives are regional.
I just checked the zip code for the dealer in MA. For that area there is just the $2,000 rebate.
The other thing is Ford has lowered MSRP on 07 VS 06.
For example, the 06 that has an MSRP of $24,660. Base MSRP before any options is $24,025
The same truck on a 07 has a base MSRP of $21,915
The 07 I found has the same equipment as the 06 plus the rear jump seats which a $225 option.
So total MSRP on the 07 is $23,775
Invoice $22,567
So for $65 over invoice you could buy the 07 for $20,632 after the $2,000 rebate.
So for $572 more you could have gotten a 07 and that is with the extra $225 option for the rear jump seats.
The biggest difference being the year difference. About $3,000 difference in depreciation with the 06 being a year older.
If you plan to trade it within 3 - 4 years that would make a big difference. If you plan to drive it until the wheels fall off or at least keep it longer than 5 years then it doesn't make much of a difference.
This is my third Ranger. My first 1983 sold to brother @ 200,000 miles, 1994 Ranger gave to son @ 285,000 miles and still going strong.
This is where I saw the black vert for $69K. Thank you SD.
I added the upper and lower side scoops, added mirror covers and relocated the Shelby letters on the back across the center where there should be.

The concept seems to be the same as the Shelby GT. Take a brand new Shelby GT500 that just came down the line, ship it to Shelby's factory in Las Vegas to be fitted with some Ford Racing upgrades then ship to dealer for sale.
My question is, will the number of GT500s that are available now get reduced by 1000?
Mark
That's funny.
Shelbydude the scoops on your car are nice. Thanks for the pictures.
Randy I read this and think of the 8-9000 08's there planning on building they will allow 1000 to be sent for the upgrade I think. I'm sure shelbydude might know the answer for sure.
Regards,
Julie
What was made at the Atlanta Plant? I hope it isn't being moved to across the border somewhere.
The old Taurus.
Hmm...as they say "a bird in hand." I hope this scenario will soon be clarified.
Can anyone shed light on this? Thanks.
Have him type this into the search on FMC Dealer and it will come up. Then go to pages 5 and 6 to get the schedule dates.

I tried to do my oil change today in my garage with my floor jack. I lifted it up until the tire lifted off the floor and couldn't get under the car enough to even find the oil filter. There's quite a few plates and shields under the front of that car. Called my buddy and we will do it next Saturday in his garage. He has two lifts and after todays attempt I have found you need a lift to do it safely and correctly.
I'm thinking of adding some Lemans stripes to my new torch red Ranger. Not too sure what color to go with. Rocker panels on my truck are gray and want to go with rocker panel decals to match Shelby. RANGER FX4X4
Another concern is price. Keep it under 20g and I can rationalize it. Otherwise, the option seems too much for my pocketbook. After all, can I really appreciate the added 40 HP? The hood and extra badges are certainly nice, but I'm not buying the car for show or as an investment. Lots to think about.
Yeah, I agree...the black with red stripes looks hot.
