    Hi everyone,

I would like to lease a 37coupe base or journey with auto trans. 3 years 45k miles no money down. I live in fla. How much should I pay cap cost and payment? I'm not sure what rebates I qualify for
  • sahil908sahil908 Member Posts: 60
I am looking for the same info. Would appreciate if someone can post these numbers for 12k miles/ year for 36 or 39 months. Thanks guys.
  • kingpcgeekkingpcgeek Member Posts: 1,051
There are no "rebates" for leasing a G coupe.

Base models rarely exist in the wild, and Journey's without premium are almost as rare. So you are looking at a car with a MSRP of around $41k and an invoice price of $37.7k. If you were able to get the car for around $38k you would be doing pretty good. Using the only numbers I have available which are for July, not sure if they changed for August, the lease payment would be around $510 not including tax. This is also assuming you will be paying first months payment, bank fee ($595), tags/registration, and doc fee at drive off. If you want to roll the latter three into the lease you could can divide the total by 36 to get a guesstimate of your payment.

Looking to lease a 2009 G37x Sedan w/ Premium and Navi and 15k miles per year. Putting down 2k - Quoted - 3,596.00 due at signing (includes all the fun stuff and 1st payment). Monthly payment of $479.00.

    What do you think?
  • sam_ksam_k Member Posts: 242
jsstull3, the only way to evaluate a lease deal is to know the MSRP, negotiated price (i.e. cap cost), invoice price (to compare against your negotiated price), money factor and lease length (e.g. 39 months). Giving us the amount due at signing and the monthly payment doesn't really tell us anything. Obviously the more you put down at signing, the lower the payment so without the specific numbers used to calculated your lease payment, nobody can evaluate if it's a good deal. The dealer should be able to tell everything except the invoice price. They won't tell you the invoice price but if you know all the options in the car that you're buying, you should be able to calculate the invoice price right here on edmunds.com.

Also, you really shouldn't be putting that much money down on a leasse. If the car is totalled or stolen the day after you get it, that money is gone. You will not receive a dime from the insurance company because the leasing company owns the car, not you. Your insurance company will pay off the leasing company based on the book value of the car and the gap insurance (built in your lease payment) will cover any amount owed on the car that's not paid by your insurance company. You should put everything in the lease payment including the fees and taxes. Yes your payment will be higher but you won't be gambling with your money. You can take the down payment money and put it in a savings account or CD and earn interest on it.

My advice is that your read the following edmunds.com article on "How to spot a good lease".

I got mine (2009 G37x with Premium, Navi, Wood, and some other b/s options making the MSRP over $42K) on the last day of July. $2K down and $483 per months for 39 months (taxes and fees included). Mine is 10K miles per year. I believe the selling price was near invoice.

The car is great. The only complaints are: (1) rear visibiltiy is bad, and (2) gas mileage hasn't been impressive.
  • JayManCpaJayManCpa Member Posts: 28
I have the same issue with the gas mileage as you. It seems like I'm always at the gas pump. I anticipated getting better gas mileage. The only other problem is that the sound system isn't that loud on max volume. Call me crazy but I think my Dodge Charger R/T seems a little faster. The G37 rides ten times better. Very smooth ride.

Looking for the MF and residual on a 2009 G37x Sedan--didn't think I wanted to lease until i saw the $1,000 in loyalty bonus cash.

    Thanks!
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
IFS just raised the residual and lowered the money factors today on the all new G37 convertibles for anyone who was shopping for one. They raised the residual between 1-2% depending on term and lowered the money factor about 40 basis points. Should save folks about $40-$50 per month. :D
  • denverg35denverg35 Member Posts: 54
Anyone have the money factor and residual for a lease of a 2009 sedan or coupe---looking at 36 or 39 months, would like 12,000 miles/year

    Thanks

Hi Sewellgsm, Did they make any changes to the rates on the G37 coupe?
    Thanks

Not bad but we got a better one playin some dealer off of one another putting 1500 down on a 2009 G37 Sedan w/ Premium and Navi and 15k miles per year for $416.
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
    Residuals - 12k:

    09 sedan (RWD): 56% (36) & 55% (39)
    09 coupe (RWD): 59% (36) & 58% (39)

    Money factors: 5 Tiers, depends on credit (.00127 - .00540) :)
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
Not since 8/1/09. Mid-month update was for Convertible only.

Hi bgk99. All banks that lease vehicles to consumers charge acquisition fees. They are annoying, but they're the price that you have to pay to lease. To me, acquisition fees aren't nearly as annoying as disposition fees...where you get charged at lease-end to give your car back. Grumble, grumble, grumble.

Here's the information that you're looking for, Steve. Infiniti Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 G37X with 12,000 miles per year are .00123 and 57%, respectively.

The numbers for an otherwise identical 39 month lease are .00141 and 56%.

If you were to lease with only 10,000 miles per year, this car's residual values would be 1% higher.

Hi denverg35. You never mentioned how long you want to lease this car for or what mileage allowance you need, so I had to make some assumptions. Let me know if you want something different.

Infiniti Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 G37X Sedan with 15,000 miles per year are .00123 and 56%, respectively.

"For a prem g37x reg in N.J. fees up total 1121.50 your payment is 469 x39. Call me to move forward. "

This is a NY dealer....no other info.

Who is the dealer? i'm looking to get this car tomorrow...
  • ashehasheh Member Posts: 32
Its Infiniti of Manhasset on Long Island. Let us know if you make a deal, I just think they have something up their sleeve.

They seem to be getting ripped online.

    2 questions -

the 2500 marketing cash, is this available towards a lease?

is 1500 over invoice a good price, it seems from the board that everyone is paying below invoice.

Thank you in advance - I am new to Infiniti (coming from Audi) and I am not certain what to expect
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
The $2500 dealer cash is NOT available towards a lease. $1500 over invoice seems a bit high - depends on the equipment, availability, and what part of the country you are in. In Texas, we would be around $700 less. :)

12K miles 39 months - nav and prem - $514 per month includes NJ taxes and pd. just inceptions --- thoughts?
  • ashehasheh Member Posts: 32
If you didn't buy yet try Douglas Infiniti in Summit,NJ. I have to say this is the first dealer I have ever walked into and enjoyed the shopping experience no sales pressure. I walked out with the GM as he was leaving and basically said he wants me to make sure that I am 100% sure of my purchase. They gave me a good estimate ( I am still torn between the Coupe and Sedan) of how much each would be (550 or so for the coupe and 490ish for the sedan). The salesperson I dealt with was straight forward asked me which car I wanted to take out and took my wife and I on an extended test drive of the Coupe. I think I am done looking for a dealership that respects me as a younger customer, it was worth the hour drive( I have a dealer 15 mins from me but didn't like their sales tactics). I will post the exact price after I take delivery.

Aseh - $490 for 12K miles or 10K on the prem and nav car?
  • ashehasheh Member Posts: 32
    I told them I wanted 12 .
  • ethandaneethandane Member Posts: 14
Aseh - let me know your final deal if you don't mind, inceptions and payment. I have shopped this car with prem and nav pretty hard in nj and surrounding area for 12k/39 months and i think any lease payment sub 500 is a very good deal....

Am looking to do a 36/39 month lease in OH for G37X w/ Premium and Navi and looking for reccomendations on dealerships/leasing companies as well as recent deals that other have cut.
  • ashehasheh Member Posts: 32
Oddly enough I came across a posting that stated that the Audi A5 has a really good lease rate and residual. I am going to have to look into this before I finally commit.
  • ethandaneethandane Member Posts: 14
Aseh - is there an email or number where we can touch base, i think we are looking for the same car in the same area and can help each other with what we have found out....
  • ashehasheh Member Posts: 32
    Sure, its asheh at hotmail.

Carman (or others) - Please give me your thoughts on a G37X premium+navi 39 month lease $0 at inception $530/month with 12K miles. Is this really the "super special end of the month can't pass deal" the dealer claims it is? I can't get them to give me the cap cost, but based on what others on the board are saying it seems OK but not great - I appreciate any input as they are trying to do the deal today.
  • kingpcgeekkingpcgeek Member Posts: 1,051
If a dealer won't tell you how much he is charging your for the car its time to move on. You can't evaluate a lease deal without that number, and of course that is why he doesn't want you to know it.

I would have to agree 100%. If they can't tell you the price then I wouldn't deal with them. I recently purchased a G37X Prem & Navi, 39 months and 15K a year for $600 drive off and $525 a month. The car is great as most of you already know. Although I'm not sure that it is as fast as my Charger. Anyone looking for a good deal in North Jersey call Perry @ Infiniti of Denville. No hassle at all and very professional. I've called him plenty of times with stupid questions about the car and he has always helped me. Not like most dealers...

Hello all. I am having to lease a new G37after my 08 G35 sedan was totaled. I have to rush into it, instead of researching. Any ideas of what I can expect. Looking for Journy and Nav like I had before.

    Thanks.

Hello, can anyone please tell me the current (september) MF's and residuals for the G37x 4dr Sedan AWD? I'm looking for either 12k or 15k per year and either 36 or 39 months. Also, please let me know if adding the navigation package or not influences the numbers. Any information would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Thanks in advance....

The sticker on the car is $42,955...includes premium package, cargo net, and, illuminated kick plates...Salesman made the price....$40,995 plus tax and DMV..or additional $2,000 off if we did not want special financing....which would make the car..$38,995 plus tax and dmv...

I know what I think of his offer.....I want to know what the Infiniti car deal experts think,,,,I have no trade....I am willing to pay cash....and I don't want the kick plates..so the MSRP of the car that I want is $42,625.....what would be a great deal on this car??

I already own a 2006 Infinti G35x which I bought new from the same dealer.

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide to me....

    Hello Car Mann:

This is my first time posting to the forum...been watching it for a while and am finally in a position to lease a G37x. I am in Maryland, and went to a dealer yesterday for test drive...very nice car!

So, here are the terms of the lease offer I rec'd:

    Price = $38,905
    Term = 39 mos.
    Money factor = .00199
    Residual = .57
    Allowable miles / yr = 10,000
Acq. Fee = $595 (not up front)
    Cash down = $4,000 (includes 1st mo)
    Doc fee = $99
    Adjusted residual = $23,893

    Monthly payment would be $505.45.

Is this a good deal? I don't know what the bank fee is or how I can find that out...

The monthly payments will include tax, title, doc, fee, acq. fee and registrion. I am getting a sense from reading some of the posts here that this is not a great deal because:

    Sale price is too high
    Cash down is too high

WHat else am I overlooking? Feel like I should go back and counter with the terms I want.

Would really appreciate your guidance and help.
  • jeffaljeffal Member Posts: 28
    JayManCpa,

Does that $525 a month include tax?

I just got a quote for the same car as you, 36 months, 10k miles/year, $0 down, with taxes rolled in = $650 a month
  • nc09nc09 Member Posts: 5
Yes...the $525 / mo I was quoted includes tax. But it looks like your cash down ($0) is a lot less than my cash down ($4k).
  • nc09nc09 Member Posts: 5
Woa..sorry about my reply,,,just realized you were not asking me that question. My bad. --NC09.
