This is my first post to this forum, but want to thank you for all the useful information provided. Wish I would have visited this forum prior to my previous lease back in '07!
I'm about to trade in my G35 sedan and considering trading up to a special edition G37 sedan. Can anyone share the respective residual values and money factors for 36 and 39 month leases with 10K and 12K miles respectively?
MSRP 44,215
Invoice 40,894
Thanks in advance!
G37x coupe w/ premium/nav 10,000 miles
Value of Vehicle + AMO's: $40,225
Cap cost: $41,883
Cap Reduction: $4103
Adjusted Cap: $37,780
Residual: $29,295

Due on Delivery: $4000 (cap cost reduction $4103 + Documentation fee $239 + first month payment $339 + License fees $311 + Government fee $7 - Conquest $1000)
This is all foreign to me so I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks a lot.

Also, I want to lease the G37 Journey sedan with Nav and premium package, I want to put 0 down and I want to lease it for 36 months/ 12k per year. Can someone tell me what would be a good deal as a monthly payment (including tax)? The MSRP on this is $39,315 and the invoice price is $36,162. I have no idea what the money factor is at this time or the residual (not sure where to find this), but ultimately I want an idea of how much my monthly payment should be for a good deal before I go pound it out with the dealerships...
Lastly, any thoughts on truecar.com- the "guaranteed" prices seem good???
Thanks in advance!
Does anyone know the MF and Residuals for G37 journey with Nav and premium sedan for 36 and 39 month and 12k/year?
I am turning in a 07 G35x and this is the quote I'm getting on a 2010 G37xS sedan
Nav Premium Sport
Cap cost reduction: 0
Sale Price: $38,864
Depreciation: $14,708.
Money Factor: 0.00186
monthly is 500 (39 Mo 15k/year)
Do these numbers seem reasonable for a NY registered lease?
Thanks!
so heres the deal ive worked out so far let me know what you think im gana LEASE this car by this weekend. so here goes
Black/ black sedan, sports, nav, premium,

MF = .00121
Residual = 59%
I was expecting the numbers to match the Sport Sedan being:
MF = .00107
Residual = 62%
Can anyone confirm the correct numbers for a 39 month term, 10K mile lease for the Journey and Sport Sedan models?
MF = .00107
Residual = 62% "
Those #'s are for the Manual Sport version. (I was told) :lemon:
MSRP 41.935
Sale Price 38,525
Residual 58%
MF 0.00128 (Should I push on the buy rate or is this fair profit?)
Term 39 Mos
Used 1000 Loyalty
Pay 466.26 down (1st payment)
Mos Payment Will then be 453 ish there after......
Comments? Solid Deal?
Cheers!
...and all the Sports were manuals?

I'm going to trust that the Anniversary Edition Sedan numbers are inline with the Journey Sedan, unless someone has information to the contrary. My only question remains - are these the correct numbers from IFS for a 10K mile, 39 month term on a Journey Sedan?
Residual = 59%
Money Factor = .00121
I've found numbers for 15K mile, 36 month terms, but looking for confirmation that those are indeed the correct numbers from IFS. I thought that they might be about a quarter percent off on the rate (.00112 instead) and residual (60% instead) for the lease in question.
I'm very close to sealing the deal pending a confirmation from a reliable source - anyone out there have confirmation?
BTW g35_mania - If you're negotiating on a 10K mile lease, you might want to check out the numbers I was just quoted and factor that into your decision. If your Cap Cost is under invoice, then that 1% higher residual and .00007 MF might be justified. Good luck with the deal - sounds like you're very close, too!
If you will take some time to read through previous post you will see that people will not evaluate your deal without knowing the selling price of the car. Since all you have given is the payment and a way too high first payment we can't help you. In CA $3000 is too much to put down. At most you want to put down the first months payment, bank fee ($595), tags (probably around $6000 in CA) and doc fee ($55 in CA). Personally the only thing I put down on a lease is the first months payment.

There is so much information out there on leasing a car, you really need to educate yourself before jumping into a 3 year commitment.

People are concerned about the residual because the higher the residual, the lower the lease payment, not because they want to buy the car at lease end. The residual is set by the company leasing you the car, Infiniti (Nissan) Finance in this case. They also set the money factor or interest rate. Some dealers will mark up the money factor for extra profit, but not many.
The only variable of a lease that you can negotiate is the selling price of the car. You get a higher selling price and you have a higher payment, a lower selling price a lower payment. To know if you are getting a good deal you need to know the selling price. Car salesmen don't prefer payment shoppers versus price shoppers for no reason.
Right now you should be shooting for a selling price of $1000 under invoice since there is $1000 of lease cash available. If you are getting around that price then you can consider it a good deal.

I'm trying to put together a lease deal on a G37 Coupe Journey with Premium & Navigation in WA. This is my first time leasing but I have a high credit score (enough for Tier 0/1) and qualify for GraduateSelect. I read that it's a good idea to bring a one-page proposal when going to the dealership. I've done my research but I'd like someone to double-check this proposal. I got the residual and MF from RideWithG but if anyone has anything more current that'd be great. I've got VPP Plan D through my employer.
MSRP: $43,115
Invoice: $39,621
New VPP Plan Price: $39,621
+ Bank Fee: $595
- Lease Cash: $1000
Total Capitalized Cost: $39,216
Term: 36 months
Miles: 15,000 miles/year
Disposition Fee: $395
GAP Insurance included with IFS Lease
IFS Residual: 61% or $26,300
IFS Money Factor: 0.00131 or 3.144% APR
- Multiple Security Deposits: Six (6) reducing MF by 0.0001 each (0.0006 in total)
Adjusted Money Factor: 0.00071
Monthly Depreciation [(Cap - Residual)/Term]: $358.77
Monthly Interest [(Cap + Residual) x MF]: $46.52
Monthly Tax @ 9.8%: $39.72
Total Monthly Payment: $445.01
Payment due at Signing: $445.01 First Payment + $450 x 6 MSDs + $250 Title & Licensing* = $3395
* Partially refunded once actual title & license cost is received from WA DOL.

This was with a pre-approved offer for me from Infiniti with incentives to lease another G because my current lease is expiring in November ($1,000 customer loyalty, waive my next 3 payments on my current lease, $500 credit toward wear & tear on current vehicle!).
We walked away, and I have sent emails today to several dealers within 200 miles hoping to get an offer as good as yours. Can you please share which dealer I should contact to get the same deal you got? Thanks!

I'm assuming that I can get this payment down even more with negotiation, or perhaps a lower downpayment? Just curious what everyone thinks, seems like a good deal on the surface...Also, what are you guys paying for insurance on your leases?
I never posted before but this forum has been invaluable to me in terms of information so I felt obligated to share the deal I got. I just signed on a 2010 G37 Journey Sedan, with no options other than the Premium package at Gunn Infiniti in San Antonio, TX. I put nothing down except first month's payment. Details:
MSRP - 37,465
Sales price - 33,917
Less Conquest rebate - (1,000)
Net Sales Price - 32,917
Taxes and fees:
L&M Fee (1.2%) - 407
Dealer Inventory tax - 73.55
License fees - 134.05
Doc fee - 100
No sales tax due to TX FMV credit benefit offered by IFS
Total Cap Cost - 33,631.60
Monthly payment - $406.45
I had to decide between a 39 month lease w/12k miles per year @ 57% residual and .00121 MF (total payment $388) or 39 months w/15k miles per year @ 56% residual and .00121 MF (total payment of $406). I went with the 15k per year and wrote the check for the first month's payment. Had I gone with a 36 month, 12k mile lease, it would have run about $398 with a MF of .00107 and residual of 59%.
For those on the fence, I've followed G lease deals since I leased my first G 2 1/2 years ago and this is the time to pull the trigger. To be able to get a car like this for less than $400 per month (12k miles per year) is just sick......
premium, no nav, with kick plates, trunk mat..
msrp of $38010
agreed value of $34785 before all dmv/fees, etc (total of fees=$1155
gross cap of $35940
adj cap of $35440 after $499 CCR
39 month lease-10k per year
ZERO drive off
($1000 rebate was used for first month & $499.46 CCR)
$443.09 per month w/tax (38 payments)
residual of $22426
(plus $395 dispositon fee??? in 2007 there was no fee- is this standard now??)
59% residual
0.00121 money factor/tier one...
- Feel it was a much better deal than Miller Infiniti was willing to do. Think it was a very good deal, not great but very good. Was very quick and easy process.
Thanks,
Chintan

Review your vehicle
The residual value for a lease with only 12,000 miles per year is 2% higher.
Through the pull-ahead offer, Infiniti will waive up to three remaining payments for lessees at no charge. If you are further away from the scheduled end of your lease than that, you will have to pay for any remaining payments out of your own pocket.

In short, the easiest way to get a good deal on a leased vehicle is to shop around for the lowest possible selling price and then have the dealer that you decide to go with calculate your vehicle's monthly payment using its buy rate lease money factor.
Check out the articles and let us know if you have any specific questions about leasing.

Infiniti Financial Services' August buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a base 2010 G37 Sedan with 12,000 miles per year are .00107 and 62%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tiers.
The numbers for an otherwise identical 39 month lease are .00121 and 61%.
If you were to lease this car with only 10,000 miles per year, its residual values would be 1% higher.

To me, the easiest way to evaluate a lease is to look at the MSRP and selling price that were used to calculate its payment. The selling prices of leased vehicles are negotiable, just as if you were paying cash for or financing them. Without these numbers, it is difficult to tell how large a dealer discount you are being given and in turn if there is any room left to negotiate. Find out what these numbers are and let us know. Either myself or another helpful, knowledgeable community member will let you know what they think.

MSRP is $41,830
After deducting the extras above, the dealer says they're at base plus a destination charge of $865.
Dealer invoice is $38,387
residual is 57% ($23,843.10)
money factor is .00126
I'm told the August money factor and residual are the same as July (as above).
I was told the $1,000 loyalty cannot come off the total from the car, but rather be used against money down for closing which he calculated a little over $1,550 and thus after the $1,000 credit, I would be paying about $600 including first months payment of $493.
Other than the obvious, why pay a couple extra dollars for cargo net and first aid kit, is this reasonable?
------------------
for the G37x coupe, same add-ons exc. for wood trim, I was told monthly payment would be $515.
(not sure which car I'll end up with)
thoughts?
Thanx for any help anyone can provide.
From Infiniti website - Summary: G37 Journey w/Premium for $319/month with $3499 initial payment and 39 months.
$3,499 initial payment required at consummation. (Includes $3,180 consumer down payment, $319 first month payment). ($1,000 owner loyalty or conquest reward included in monthly payment). 2010 G37 Sedan Journey with Premium Package subject to availability to well qualified customers who lease through Nissan-Infiniti LT. Subject to Credit Approval. MSRP $37,475 includes destination charge. Net capitalized cost of $31,984 includes a $595 non-refundable acquisition fee. Retailer contribution may affect actual price set by Retailer. Monthly payments total $12,441.00. At lease end, purchase for $22,110.25, plus $150 purchase option fee (except KS and WI), plus tax, or pay excess wear and tear plus $0.25 per mile for mileage over 10,000 miles per year. Lessee is responsible for maintenance and repairs. Disposition Fee due at termination of lease. No Security Deposit required. See participating Retailer for details. Offer ends 08/31/2010. Supplies of vehicle may be limited in some regional areas. Retailer inventory varies.
You are not given a choice, those are factory "options" that are on every car. I had to pay for the cargo net on my 05, 07, & 08, but the charge for the first aid kit is relatively new. It was always thrown in for "free" in the past.

They offered me a great deal right off the bat (numbers the same or very close to what yours were). I could not be happier with the deal and with the customer loyalty incentives offered to me by Infiniti to lease another G37. I've leased the last six vehicles I've driven, and consider this by far the best deal I've ever gotten.
