I am understandably curious if they can even come close to the EPA estimates. Can we start a thread of MPG estimates?
Thanks.
Not as good as the Toyota Sienna I traded in which I got 18 - 19 MPG around town and about 28 on the road, but not horrible either.
Right now I have 1600 miles on my Acadia.
Thanks.
Good Luck

I was offered invoice pricing to start. Plus $1000 conquest, $500 marketing support, plus $500 President sale bonus. At total of $2k under Dealer Cost any Acadia to choose from. This sounded like a great deal. I found the dealer in Parsippany NJ.
I did not take it, because I do not like the financing rates of 6.99 for 60 mths. Anyone have any idea if they will come down?

According to our friends from other forums, there seems to be some downward price pressure on the GMC.
Anyone?
Given the reviews, I'd be surprised if they are not selling well. But, I can see why people would wait - I think GM and/or the dealership network really screwed the pooch on the what they stocked initially - most are white (not a very popular color), and come w/ very strange option packages (or are base SLEs w/ no options, or loaded SLT2 that push into the upper price range where there are many more vehicles to consider for the price).
Those seem to be sitting on the dealer lots - the blacks, reds, and silver SLT1's that I've been looking at seem to be moving (I know, as two were sold out from under me).

The Enclave is SO different, it'll be interesting to see what happens when it shows up--likely more popular in the first place, and should probably garner a lot of older Rendezvous trades.
The KickingTires blog at Cars.com is reporting GM has recalled its new 2007 Saturn Outlook and GMC Acadia full-size CUVs for potentially faulty airbag sensors. Every single unit sold since they went on sale in December is affected by the recall. Letters went out yesterday to owners of the Saturn Outlook and will be sent on February 28th for GMC Acadia owners.
Three months into production. Way to go GM :shades:
Looks like NHTSA has not forced the recall but GM is doing it on it's own. Good action on GM's part. Quick response and no government recall.

GM has recalled its new 2007 Saturn Outlook and GMC Acadia full-size CUVs for potentially faulty airbag sensors. The problem is reportedly software related, meaning it can be fixed with a trip to the dealer and a quick patch, but every single unit sold since they went on sale in December is affected by the recall. Letters went out yesterday to owners of the Saturn Outlook and will be sent on February 28th for GMC Acadia owners.
This is not a recall mandated by the NHTSA, but rather one initiated by GM itself after the problem was discovered internally. The potentialy faulty sensor in question controls the front airbags' deployment. While this potentially faulty sensor in the Outlook and Acadia could cause injury, GM apparently caught it quickly and the fix should be cheap, easy and fast for them to apply to every vehicle affected by the recall
Uh Yes. :P Who should we blame those sinister foreign company's like Toyota? :shades:
Actually they're trying to catch up to Toyota's recall number for the year so they won't feel as bad!!! .grin.
At least they are correcting it before problems happen, like sludging or transmission problems.
2014 Malibu 2LT, 2015 Cruze 2LT,
I can't believe the idiots who think Toyota is such a great company. All I can say is they did a good job of brainwashing. :shades: :P
I know some have commented on the interior of the Pilot, but I thought it was far superior to the EB; however, perhaps because I have driven a Ford for so long, I felt like the Pilot's nose was sticking out in traffic. I don't need the 3rd row seating; I primarily use the SUV to cart my dogs around to dog shows and events, so I not only need cargo room, but I also want to ride in comfort. I don't want a mini-van. That much I know. I didn't like the way the Pilot's metal buckles from the seat belts hung from the roof--I am thinking that my dog crates will be rubbing up against them, causing problems.
Test drove the Acadia and I thought it drove very nicely; did notice a bit of drag in pick up, I guess due to the weight of the vehicle. I didn't think the interior was that nice--although I thought it was nicer than the EB, but I wasn't blown away by it. I did like all the space, especially with the third row down, but I'm not quite 5'1" and it is not an easy vehicle to get in and out of without running boards, which I'm surprised that you can't get as a dealer add-on.
I've looked at the specs on more luxurious SUV's--my current EB has 42.6 cu. ft of cargo space with the 2nd row up; unless an SUV can provide that, or better, I'm not interested (MDX--out). I also know I want a V6--I prefer the gas mileage more.
I love the photos of the Enclave and it looks like the interior is of a better quality. Should I just wait to see what that brings? One of the local Buick dealers said the Enclaves won't be in until late Spring.
Great idea dmathews3. The US government SHOULD hold the big shots of all three car manufactures responsible for the crap they have been producing. I purchased my first new GM vehicle in July of 1957 ( 57 Chevy ) and my LAST new GM Vehicle in September 2001 ( 2001 Buick ) . I purchased a new GM vehicle every four to five years for that span of
44 years. The last two however were the worst vehicles imaginable, and the attitude of GM was even more unsettling then the vehicles. I purchased a 2006 Toyota in June. Every thing works like it should no rattles, squeaks or recalls. The radio plays in English and my golf clubs fit in the trunk. Life is good :shades:
I have a 98 Buick and 03 Buick, first with 150 K miles. Great Cars. I was marveling last night the 1998 doesn't even have any rattles or squeaks.
2014 Malibu 2LT, 2015 Cruze 2LT,
Back on topic...Outlook, Acadia, Enclave...
2014 Malibu 2LT, 2015 Cruze 2LT,
There's nothing wrong with people whoa hate GM giving their oppinion on the Lambdas.
But if you guys want to compare, you should go to the Acadia comparison forum. It's not as boring.

Glad your radio plays in english now why not go over to the toyota camray, or prius boards and tell them how great your toilet is, I mean Toyota and let them give you a trashing as there aren't very many there who agree with you. :lemon: :shades: :P :P
since 3 months ago, when I was a regular on this forum for
5-6 months. 62vetteefp, you've been a real stallwart for this group and have been the primary voice of sanity here. At times I felt you could have been more direct...but pulled back for the sake of a stablizing force here.
I've been a real Lambda believer...If you and some of the others recall. I tried various tactics to maneauver some of our Ford and other zealots to please let the forum follow a natural course and allow GM a fare chance to come back and
re-establish it's self respect as one, if not the leading manufaturers in the industry. But these pleads and attempts to keep this forum in focus and on tract fell on deaf ears.
It was as though these people were 'shills' for other Auto Firms, disguised as potential auto buffs checking out the Lambdas. Of course they could have just been meatheads that
lost an understanding what the forum's original intent was.
I did go another direction, but I'm not going to pound my chest subtley or boastfully what a great choice I made nor the positives my vehicle has over a Lambda. The past M O of some characters were to mention 2 good things about the Lambda and then follow up with a strong negative or a heavy cut at Lambda, followed by 2 lite positive remarks to cover the real intent. It's all so unnecessary and Myopian. Good luck and hope this forum gets some quality growth and GM
has success with it's new product.
In the Outlook there is just a void between the 2nd row captain chairs (in the XR version with the Premium Trim and captain chair pkgs)... I don't like it, but no center console is available as promised with the Enclave.
Such a console would seem to be an easy pop-in. My 14 year old thinks the void is nice because it facilitates access to the third seat and/or cargo.
Overall, the Outlook handled very nicely. Very much like a car. As good or better handling than my Honda Pilot. Certainly not a boat. Nice power, too... although not overly powerful and will probably get enthusiasts' harsh critiques... I was pleasantly impressed. The Aura seems like a nice sedan, too.
Maybe there's hope for GM...?
I am not a big GM, Ford or Chrysler fan... got screwed in the 70s with American car companies... so, in the last 27 years have only bought Honda, Acura and Toyota. Never a regret.
Seriously considering the Outlook, though I'd like to get the sexier looking Buick Enclave, if it can make it to market in the next month or so. Local Buick dealer says probably April or May delivery.
BTW Saturn is offering 0 percent, 36 month financing through FEB 28 and $1000 cash rebate (if your not driving a GM)...
I agree with the M.O!!! Lots of that happening here.
Firstly, I'm a competition BBQ cook who has spent the last 10 years pulling the back 2 seat out of my basic/basic 1996 4 cyl dodge caravan with roll up windows to pack in all the equip/tables/tents/chests/accessories/etc/etc like a sardine can in that 146 Cu ft. cargo area. Then when I saw the 'Outlook', with 80% the cargo area of the van, I said that was the vehicle for me!!! I could have a roof rack on
and a hitch carrier behind and I might even have a bit more cargo carrying capacity over all, not to mention reasonable
fuel economy and moderate pricing.
2ndly I went to the L.A. Auto Show and charged straight to the Saturn exhibit. It was everything I had hoped for and more. The back seats folded to make a nice cargo area as I wasn't looking for a people hauling. As I looked at the vehicle as a whole(there an hour)I decided...It was too damn nice and that in 3 to 5 years it wasn't going to look like anything like it did today with my greasy dirty hobby.
3rdly, decided if I went with an extended cab pickup with a shell that I could keep the cabin area quite nice and also not fret about a cabin/cargo combination(Lambda), though a truck wasn't in my plans. So I went with an 06' Tundra V6 extended Access cab SR5 and put the top of the line Leer shell all for $21,000(truck 19k)OTD thanx to internet sales/purchasing(it's the only way to go)... then a month
later bought my wifes 07 LE Camry 19k OTD with this method.
Take care and good luck.
I could not find anything using google and doubt it is a safety recall because it is so far away from the upper air bag and the passenger but I could be wrong. This is most likely a minor quality issue which GM will catch as cars come in for service that is not worth GM's or the owners time/money to send out notices.
While I have not seen the Acadia panel they are a bugger in all cars to get to stay down and a lot of development work is done to keep it secured and keep proper gaps around the part. Most likely the retainer(clip) will better secure or revise the location of the panel so that gaps are better. Even if yours looked OK others may have let loose and you get a wavy look.
I don't know if others would agree with my back seat assessment, but the back seat issue is a deal killer for me. Very surprising and disapointing.
Good luck,
B.
