    We are adding a child to our family of 7 by adoption and we need to replace our 2 middle row captains seats with a split bench seat. Right now our seats are gray leather, but we are somewhat flexible on the seat finish. We would be interested in a front row bench too if anyone has one.

    be sure to check all the local wrecker yards - "pre-owned", you may find center bench seat, doubt that many vehicles are made with front bench.

    Greetings, the passenger seat heater is not working on all settings in my 1998 Chevy Tahoe. Fuses checked, and voltage to seat. Any thoughts? Thanks for your insight. I am developing an ear ache as a result of this discrepancy.

    Now THAT is funny! :)

    I suspect that your seat heater windings in the seat is broken, or one of the sensors is out. If you have voltage at the seat connector, then it's got to be internal to the seat.

    Have a 2008 Tahoe LTZ with black leather 2nd row CPT Chairs, heated, auto collapse, in excellent condition. Just had a recent addition to the family and would like to get the 2nd row bench. Looking for good condition bench with similar features. Living in the Baltimore/DC area.

    I am looking to trade the second row medium gray leather captains seats from a 2002 Suburban for the gray leather 60/40 bench, preferably somewhere near Northeast Ohio.

    From what I have read the swap seems straightforward, but I did want to throw a question out there. Do the 2002 60/40 middle bench seats have an integrated shoulder belt for the center passenger or did that start in 2003? If it did start in 2003, anyone know if a 2003-2006 60/40 bench will bolt right into a 2002 Suburban with the center captains chairs?

    I have a 1999 Suburban with medium gray CLOTH. More and more I wish I had leather. I don't suppose you would want a cloth 60/40? Probably not. :( However, in the event you find your gray leather 60/40 and want to sell your leather captains chairs, I would be very interested. I've given up on ever finding gray cloth captains chairs so I've decide to swith to leather.

    The 2002 60/40 bench seat we just swapped for our captains chairs did not have the integrated shoulder belt for the center passenger.

    I am looking at removing my center row buckets and am afraid of cracking or breaking the plastic covers that are over the bolts holding the seat frame to the floorboard. Is there a trick to getting these plastic covers off without breaking them?

    Is this an easy & straight-forward change-out? Are there mounting bracket/electrical issues to worry about or workaround? I haven't been able to find out if these units come from Chevy ready to be configured for one type of seat or the other. I've found an 08 LTZ. locally, that has the bench seat in ebony leather, but I want the captains chairs. If it's easy to do I will more than likely purchase this unit and then could consider working an even swap. I just need a little more information & reassurance.

    Personally, I'd pass on the vehicle........if the seating arrangement was not correct for what you want. Finding someone else who has the same color, in the same condition, who is also wanting to swap, who is in the same geographic area, I think is slim chance.

    For all of the people trying to swap on the Edmunds board, I don't know that I've ever seen a confirmation that a swap actually did occur. It is probably more likely to buy a set of seats from a wrecked vehicle, but then you have some big heavy seats laying around.

    Don't overlook the difficulties in actually executing a seat swap.

    Hello all i have a 2003 tahoe that i have a car seat in the middle for about a year and half and i really notice now that the seat cusion or support on one side has failed and now the car seat is leaning more to one side. Can the foam inside the seat be replaced or what are my options. I would personally like to try to resolve this myself if possible. So any of your options would be appericated.

    I'm looking for a 2nd row bench seat (60/40 split). I would like to replace my bucket seats with the bench seat. I have a 2009 Tahoe with the light gray leather interior. I would be willing to either trade or purchase a bench seat in any color from a 2007 - 2011 Tahoe, Yukon, or Suburban.

    Careful, I'm not sure, but I thought I read somewhere that Suburban/Yukon seats aren't the same as shorter wheelbase Tahoe seats.

    May want to verify. Sorry if I'm unduly concerned.

    Since we aren't set up on our forums for buying and selling (or trading), we're going to make this discussion read-only. Because of freight costs, if you want to swap out your seats, you probably are better off using your local craigslist or try a salvage yard.
