Diesel Questions/Problems
So, I came back in and put in the new numbers. My price only went up by $240, wherease the MSRP went up by $1150. I plugged in the 70% residual number but used the same money factor. According to the calculator, my payments should have gone down by almost $30 a month. By getting a more expensive package, my payments should go down instead of up? Logically, this does not make sense. I see how the number came up though. Since the residual of the car is much higher now, I shouldn't have to offset as much with my payments. But still logically it is crazy to think I should pay less for adding options when all the other terms remain the same....
....except for the money factor. I'm wondering if the money factor should be adjusted, since now the MSRP and residual have increased. How do I determine the adjustment to the money factor in this case, if in fact that is the cause of the illogical reduction in monthly payment?
Thanks for your help - this site has really helped my leasing experience.

The anti-lock brakes keep turning on at very low speeds when i hit the brakes??
This occurrs on dry pavement.
What will cause this and how can i fix it???
After one week "service battery charging system" appeared. Service dept at dealership said the alternator (sp?) needed to be replaced. OK, they did that. (they told me anytime you purchase a new vehicle there is a chance of a part being bad...)
One week later, My husband and I are heading out of town...driving down the interstate and all of a sudden my horn starts randomly beeping. Before we could pull over it starts blowing continuously! We are sitting ont he side of the road with our horn BLARING! We called the dealership.. They walked my husband through removing the fuse for the horn. They suggested we bring it right in to be looked at. But obviously we cant do that since we are on our way out of town. The sevice tech then told us that there may be some sort of relay that would cause the battery to go dead if we left the horn fuse out. ???? But we had no choice.
Immediatly after we began driving again the xm radio starts going crazy and skipping around. You can imagine how mad we are at this point! Throughout the weekend, the radio would work for 5, 10, maybe 15 minutes and then it would start skipping around to different stations again.
To try and make this long story short, the owner of the dealership called us and made arrangements to have the vehicle picked up today at our house and a loaner dropped off while they try and get to the bottom of the problem.
UNBELIEVABLE! The past 5 years I have driven a BMW x5 and a Lexus Gx470. I have never once had to take either in for any type of reapair other than scheduled maintenance!
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem here may be? It seems to be something electrical.. If that is the case... how will they fix it? I am to the point that I dont want "that" vehicle anymore. It seems as though it has some serious problems! The sticker price on this Escalade was $68,000. That is too much money to have inconveniences like these.
Any comments / suggestions appreciated!

I need some advice. I have a chance to purchase a 1976 Dodge Dart Lite W/ 60k miles, slant six, 4 speed manual trans in very good condition. The car drives perfect, near perfect interior and has all the aluminum parts that came OE from the factory. It has minor rocker panel rust, otherwise has all OE equipment that all works. From what I understand, only 50 of these Lites were produced.
Do you think 16K is too much to pay for this car?
Thanks, E.M.
The code won't be on the radio. The dealer doesn't have to pull the radio---he can sometimes just look up the code...but you'll have to show proof of ownership in person and he may charge you to do this (or he may not).
